Happy 29th! These are awesome elevators! I love the cab of the Otis elevator. The Salem cab is neat too. The computerized equipment on elevators works nicely but all this old equipment just works so nicely and lasts forever.
Happy anniversary. Glad to have been part of this journey with you for the past 6 years! Really neat elevators here. The cab is beautifully ornate in the passenger, and the freight's bottom-drive system is just so cool. One of my favorite drive types.
Absolutely beautiful elevators. I’m guessing these elevators are listed due to them being so old that they can’t be modded or altered without special permission
@@DieselDucy Alright… since this building is not open to the public, what was the reason for coming here? Just in case you haven’t told us yet on those 2 separate dates in the description.
I had no Idea about the anniversary but Happy Anniversary Diesel! + I just added this video too my favorites list! This is remarkable & the first time I've ever seen a Salem elevator like that & how the elevators operate; thanks for the fun & the video it was a really great one
@@DieselDucy I sorta figured I know you've probably seen many of the Otis elevators before lol Not that they're necessarily not interesting it's just the Salem elevator is more of a rare unicorn 🦄 & the difference in how it operates it appeared too me that it ran alot smoother in the video but yeah I definitely can see that especially since you don't just find or see a Salem elevator like every day although I'm sure the Otis elevators are not as common as one would think too lol but I really enjoy & love your channel here on UA-cam; it really is unique & a great place to come to for seeing cool stuff like you bring in your videos! Keep bringing the cool stuff Diesel 💪 😎 & thanks for what you do

Amazing elevators! Happy 29th Anniversary of Elevator Photography/Filming!
Thanks so much.
Many of these old lodges had pipe organs in them. Was there one there? or any such locations like pipe Chambers still present?

Awesome! Thank you! for being with me for so long!
Absolutley. Here's to another 29 if not longer!🥂
binary selector ?
The Salem looks older and more proud of than the Otis, what year was the building built and was either of these units installed prior to the other?
I’ve waited forever for this
Well here it is
It's all so amazing! That Otis selector is interesting. Happy anniversary!
Thanks so much!
What’s that sparking when the elevator starts and stops again?
That is normal for relay logic.
Those are arcs jumping trying to carry the current, like the flashes you see in old fluorescent lighting

The building is historic

That elevator cab looks like something you’d see out of a 1920 silent movie
Totally! It is from the 1920s
Next year is the 30th anniversary of elevator/escalator filming.
for the 30th year a crowd of people should film with dieselducy.
Yep :)
