I switched to being a bedman main around the time Asuka came out and I've gotta say, I've been having an absolute blast with this patch. The 6p change alone was massive for me, and wild assault makes so many matchups feel way less frustrating. I typically avoid playing low and mid tier characters, but Bedman and all his wacky setups are just so fun to me that I can't stop playing him.
I keep trying other characters but I don’t get the same level of expression as I do with Bedman. Everyone seems so boring in comparison. Great rundown of the changes, good to see such a unique character getting fixed.
11:15 Sol has a 5 frame 2K this season, so it isn't trading with a 6 frame 2K but a instead trading with a 5 frame 2K. Considering it is trading this might mean it actually beats 6 frame lows now.
Good catch. I didn't realize Sol's 2K was buffed to 5F in this season. I tested more with other 6F 2Ks and it's fairly arbitrary to the hitbox. I-No and Jack-O's trades. Bedman's straight out loses. It's probably more of a hitbox interaction than a frame data specific situation.
There's a new corner combo/setup you can do with the 6H wall damage buffs. If you do S>2H(before launcher)>236S you can do 6H for a frame trap. On hit you can install to S>2H>(spin error)>236H for hard knockdown and a stored error. On block you can still install to be plus advantage (+4) and continue your block string. By far my new favorite combo to land
More than just overall explaining the changes, this video has given me so many things to add to my gameplay (the combos/conversions, the safe jump, among other things) so thank you! Also the 2P change/spin change is a godsend 🛏
Thanks for the video! The Bed is such a weird, fun character. Even if it still ends up being relatively weak, just being more functional in certain situations is so welcome. I can't wait to see what silly things the Bed crew manage to come up with this season!
I've only just gotten around to trying out these changes today, and man does wild assault just slot in perfectly into Bedman's moveset. The only problem is that it's so fun to use I'm often finding myself without burst 😆
thanks for the comprehensive visual guide, and for the examples of practical applications. maybe it's a weird question, but i wanted to ask what you find fun about strive bedman, season 3 or otherwise. thanks
I like the moveset and aesthetic theme of the character. Having ranged options while also being deceptively slippery is a pretty cool combo. Error chaining with offense is really cool too. The character had numerous issues with season 2. Clunky movement, counterintuitive hitconfirms, and poor defense. Most of that is much better in season 3, which is great.
When I tell you just last night at this time exactly I was watching your other two bedman videos and thinking damn 4 month? I guess I won’t be getting an update for the new patch notes for a while. This is a pleasant surprise. Also yes, fuck Goldlewis
🤖 Excellent summary /funny video "It affects his neutral, save jumps, combos, confirms, pressure and my MENTAL HEALTH" I spit out my coffee LUL, i feel that 💀 looking forward to your bedman? in s3 , very inspiring.
As a note 2H still loses to almost every invul super/dp, unless the distance is a lot somehow usually it get hit, so if you abuse it you will be hit by it anyway vs some characters.
i wish more bedman players do 5k brc setups for pressure n combos i feel like my ability to fish for counter hits is more consistent n valuable then burning it on red rc up for beyblade. also the airdash changes makes jH feel better to use n im loving it
6:26 literally relate to this to much. Like I barely get the time to play games so characters getting easier imputs is a blessing for a casual player like me
it beats everything except backdash, but you can account for backdashes on reaction if you safejump. The only "weakness" is that there's a small manual delay you must add. It's possible to do it too quickly.
@GcYoshi13 fair, tbh though its not that hard of a timing to get used to, i do that IAD jH (2 hits) sometimes even without properly timing it, it feels natural
Yoshi. I'm glad that if you had to abandon the Anji gamers, you're at least enjoying your main and putting out amazing content like this video. But. You need to stop making me want to pick up Bedman like this. My brain is way too small to handle a second spin.
Yoshi i need help with the ky matchup, everytime i jump i just get snipped by his arc and im constantly stuck in the corner and can't get out because his buttons are faster. I know i need to be more "unpredictable" but his frametraps and arc smoke me constantly. I try to be patient but i get grabbed and it infuriates me. Plz give me something
Fondru Arc is a big problem if you play too actively in the air, so in that MU I try to just stay on the ground at times if I'm anticipating for it to come out. If you see it come out, 5P AA yields a lot of reward. For his frame traps, you need to just be patient. Vary between blocking, jumping, and mashing 2P. Don't be too scared of throws. Even if it's strong, it's far less dangerous than recklessly taking free hits that he can convert from.
@@GcYoshi13 thank you, its kinda awkward cuz I was a ky main before bedman but I kept trying to 6p his arc like a dumbass. Also do you have any tips for ram? Or do I fr gotta preemptively block her sword throws in neut and just get run over. It was so much easier as ky😭 even tho I've been in heaven as bedman for 2 months now, I can't get out of ram nor leo corner, its just game over.
@@anbacan962 Ram is hard and I haven't played any since the new patch. It's mostly zoning her out and being cautious about sword. In the corner, you have to IB rekka and threaten throw, or gamble with 6P or fuzzy jumps. It's a hard fight. Against Leo, the turns last shorter and you FD him out.
@@GcYoshi13 I actually never thought to IB thanks. What do you think is bedmans worst match-up? I've been grinding this game to hell recently and I have my bets on Happy chaos tbh(especially one that does the knockdown into high jump mix in the corner). I think the easiest is asuka lol, 6P --> beyblade buttfucks his cubes on reaction.
Johnny's inability to dash block makes him easy to zone out but once hes in, it gets tough quickly. Johnny's jS out ranges Bedmans too. I think it's even currently.
Tbh I think bedman has the edge, although Johnny has massive normals, zoning works quite well against him. Since S3 I immediately got into heaven and have been facing Johnny constantly. Once you beat neutral and lock him its very tough for him. It could just be cuz its early but I've been smoking them
"I did not know they were adding an entire sunroof to 6P" took me out way more than it should've
Great video
This is literally the go to channel for bedman content now I love it
As a newer strive player still getting good, and bedGOAT🐐🐐 being my main; this definitely is the best bedmain.
An in depth hour long bedman guide from you would be a godsend
Jumped around from character to character until I fell in love with the absolute jank of the bed. I’m still bad, but your videos are amazing. Tysm
i just really like that bedmans wild assault animation is One Big 'Ol Slap

you're a godsend for the bedbros man, love your work and looking forward to more 🙏
the higher attack level on the final hit of 2H also makes it so canceling into call 0x$1.00 is now -8, making you safe to reversals now
I was looking forward to this. I just picked up bedman recently after a long break from strive, your vids are top tier
Ty, also appreciate the twitch vod. Not much learning material for this character, especially after the changes.

Amazing as always. You should stream more! Love watching your bedman.
Great video. I didn't know bed had FDC combos and the safejump techniques help a lot.
"However I'm very normal" 😆 thanks for the amazing breakdown of the changes and top level bedman content.

Extraordinary W for using the Madarame Palace theme

Bedmanbros finally eating good, thanks for the content 👍

Thank you again Big BedBro for this wonderful guide
Fun fact, anime in preview also have death battles in it
Nice, was looking forward to a video like this!
Wonderful guide mate! Bed master race arises.

Phenomenal video, been trying to learn Bedman and this video really helped
Honestly I'm a new Bedmain, and I think I might start watching this channel to hopefully figure out how to Bedman
Great video btw, man!
So much delicious BED info injected directly into my veins at three in the morning!
"Do not rely on 6H"
(Me stuck in floor 9/10 spamming the move even as a callout)
haha funny hand go **Bach: Cello suite 1 (G Major)**

Love this character, I’m glad he got the changes he did!
GcYoshi sounds like he'd make a great podcast/radio host
Thank you for sharing the good news and for validating my boomer reaction times!!
i love being able to combo into betblade from jabs! abare feels good!

Ty gcyoshi I will use this info to cook all bedmans in the tower
Your voice is what i would imagine the robotic bed to sound like 😅
Excellent video,I love your deep voice!
6P change is my favourite, the whole reason I stopped playing Bedman? was because his 6P just felt t h a t bad
If, hypothetically bedman? got a 236 k move at some point in season 3, what would you think the move’d be to “complete the moveset”?
I really do not know actually. Maybe an evasive move or something to launch him in the air and help him keep air actions.
de ja vu to instantly get the last error state back would be cool
The thumbnail is hilarious
6:26 literally relate to this to much. Like I barely get the time to play games so characters getting easier imputs is a blessing for a casual player like me
After high hitting spin in the corner does IAD jHS beat everything? Or does it lose to like 3 framers?
it beats everything except backdash, but you can account for backdashes on reaction if you safejump.

TIL you can charge White Wild Assault
Huh, i didnt think the changes would be that big a deal, thanks. See you in about 2 months Yoshi.😂

nice indepth video, gonna keep an eye on this channel. Also very nice Banner whos the characters in it?
Chris Redfield, Spencer, Sentinel, PTX-40a, Sion, ZhongLi, Arakune, Blitztank, Bedman
Do you think bedman is out of low tier hell now?
too early to say. I think he's far better, but it will depend on how he fights the others.
Yoshi, how does it feel to be the leader of an entire army of beds?
Lol I don't see myself that way.
make a video on when to punish this apes moves
stop it with the vocal fry man
