The Made in Japan Stock pick-ups are like candy. Swirling aural peppermint. I was trying to decide what Jaguar pick-ups to shove into my Cyclone, and this video helped, so thanks.
Allan Murder - ah that’s a great idea but I’ve already shot the video for the clean stuff on Jags. I’ve got a similar video for Jazzmasters coming up, I’ll see if I can do it in that one!
I have a Crafted in Japan jag and the stock pickups are way too weak. From what ive read they are cheap stratocaster pickups that have not been wax potted. Def should replace them imo
@@RyogaXvX Based solely on the shootout in this vid, I agree with @whssy. The pickups on the Fender Japan jag here sound excellent. In fact, I'd say they sound closest to the vintage jags. I was surprised at how muddy or "weak" the Bare Knuckle pups in the Marr sounded on the rhythm parts, although they did sound great on the solo.
This appeard because I was looking for the Creamery Dark Lines, then I realised its not here. I WANNA HEAR THAT PICKUP. Also I stayed anyway because of your amazing Jaguar Collection tho!
@@LordFuzzman definitely, just had a quick look online and they look really well priced too. GAS incoming! Great job on the editing too, cutting up 5 guitars into one continuous vid must have taken a fair amount of time! PS if you ever have need use of a VM Jag give me a shout, I may be able to help
Chris Leavey wish I’d have know my that earlier. Couldn’t find anyone who had one! And thanks for the positive comments re the video. The editing and syncing certainly takes up most of the effort into these vids, glad it’s appreciated. :)
Hi - re: the Fender USA Hot - are they discontinued? I've searched but cant find them anywhere (are they the "noiseless"?) I liked them a tab bit more than the Duncans. About the same as the Creamery.
The Bareknuckle sound very transparent. Maybe it works for some mixes. I'm looking at the Alt 88s, I'm wondering if they still provide the chimey brilliant sound if you need it. They sound pretty much the best in this overdriven demonstration. Thanks for this!
Yes, the Creamery pick ups sound great, but I've got to give the horned one my left nut to get one, when the SD sound nearly as cutting, I can get them yesterday for a song.
I have a JM Jag. I LOVE the clean on those Bare Knuckles pups… but they don’t do well under distortion. The Creamery 88’s seem to be the best of both worlds for me… or at least close
I'm torn between Creamery and SD hot for jaguar with the latter not getting much love it seems. But those 2 had me checking which guitar you were playing. Great vid.
@@silvertongues2 they’re great.. I posted a little live clip of the Ken custom on my insta this week. Check out Lord Fuzzman on Instagram if the link doesn’t work instagram.com/tv/CWQKH6oLFzf/?
Hi thank you very much for the video! May I ask you for a favor if possible? I have cij jag with novaks but the magnets - especially on the neck pickup- seems to be far too wide. As i dont have the stock pickups anymore couls you please measure the distance between the outer edge of e-E magnets on the neck and bridge pickup? I just would like to ensure if there is any real difference or I'm just dumb 😄 thanks in advance!
Is there any chance you live in Adelaide and currently have the candy apple Jag for sale? If not it’s uncanny because there is one for sale that looks the same with the same damage.
@@LordFuzzman 😂 there is the same guitar with the same Knick three inches to the left of the top strap, just like yours, for sale I. Adelaide south Australia. It’s a great colour. I just don’t want to buy it with the Knick.
Thanks so much for this!! You're awesome man! I bought the CV Jag in part because of your review. What are your thoughts on the Fender Hot vs Creamery pickups? I don't know if I have the best ear but to me, they sound similar. But, I think the Creamery ones sound a tad bit smoother in certain sections of the video.
Michael Rebong yeah you’re right they are very similar pick ups. There is not a massive amount of difference between them. The creamery May have a bit more mid range but both are pretty hot pick ups for a Jaguar. Thanks for following the channel 👍🏻
Do you think the Creamery Alt 88 mid range pickups would be good for Classic Rock? They sound pretty good to me thru the computer !! Btw THANKS for the great vids Mate. Cheers.
Weird. I listened to Part 2 first, and my impressions here are totally different. My last place pick for clean is my first place pick here. 1. Fender Japan 2. Creamery 3. Fender Hot 4. SD Hot 5. Johnny Marr Bare Knuckle OTOH, it could just be that I hate the pedal you're using.
Hi Gemma, the Fender Japan pick ups always get a hard time and people are quick to rip them out replace them, me included but actually I really like their sound on this one. It has a nice jangle to it!! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 🙏🏻
I just got a 94 left mij jag and I have been having a similiar experience. I find there is a ridiculous amount of articulation distorted but its taking me some time to get used to the cleans
Iggytommy - Ha ha.. you know I tried so hard to get one for this. I’m doing a similar Jazzmaster video shortly and I’ve managed to get a VM Jazzie for that but no one had a Jag VM for this one. Sorry buddy!!
Iggytommy - I def ain’t no Hipster!!. I’ve had tonnes of Squiers. Still have several..The Mascis, Jagmasters, vintage modified, Ryan Jarman, classic vibes are all great guitars!

You are genuinely one of my favorite guitar UA-camrs
Allan Murder - Thanks Allan that means a lot. It may not seem it but a lot of time and effort goes into these vids!
Np man I wish there were more UA-camrs that aknowledge the more indie/punk etc side of guitar
Maybe for the clean you can do a bit of Marquee Moon By Television

I think the same exact thing.
His content is ALWAYS interesting and his video are really well-thought-out.

Worth waiting for!
Great choice of song and great playing my friend. 🤘🏼
David Lindmark - Cheers David.. loads of videos about to come out now. I’ve bee busy!

Johnny Marr and the Seymour Duncan Hot sound best to me. The rest a bit too shrill for my tastes.
I actually find Jaguars with the distorted tones to be super incredible and sound very Gin Blossoms-like. Great demo, man!
Thanks buddy
Right? Still sounds kinda raw at the same time too🤌
hey all have beautiful character and style, nice playing man love it, great vid.
gutternoize pedals ah thanks buddy!!
That cream white one sounded so smooth. I love it

MIM fenders have always looked he best in my opinion.
Sadly, no more...
That's crunch to me. Maybe I have a different "feel" for the word overdrive! The lead was there but the overdrive got scared and ran away!
