Nice build Not much compression stock 8 to 1 no release needed unless you have a noodle leg Biggest challenge is jetting for temp and altitude Try built 500 billet gears get them chrio treateted and polished braaaaaPpp
Just saw an Italian HRC engineer come out with cases that bolt into the CRF 450 using all the CRF stuff gearsets, clutch, electric start, Fuel injection TB, and the CR500 cylinder bolts on, assuming 500 crank or stroke. Forget the company.
Hey, got a question for you. I got a 03 yz250 I messed up the threads on my steering stem shaft removing it from the lower trees. Do you know what years YZ YZF stems off eBay that will work with my bike?
Need help!! I recently traded for an rm 125, was told it was a 2001 and ran vin (after the fact I know) found out it was a 2000. Is there anyway to do the restyle kit, and are all of the handlebars high rise? I need some advice before I take the loss and find another bike to build. Is the 2000 rm125 worth the effort?
Sweet! And your mate's bike look and sounds epic too!! Damn on the tear!! Ouch! Yeah.. it is the super easy/ridiculous get offs that can cause the biggest damage... like me knee due to a hole considerably deeper than my foot pegs.
@12:15 just kicked a fresh built 500 with oogles of compression in vans. i've owned those same vans, and would get heel bruises from wearing them at work and standing on concrete for too long. if kicking a 500 is scary for you, you shouldn't be riding it
Hey I'm building a cr500 with the father in law. It's a real expensive all out build. I've pretty much sourced everything new or rebuilt. The frame is original but the rear shock is blown. Is there an upgrade rear shock or should I just rebuild the original? Any help would be appreciated.
@Berm_Blaster the Bridgestone tires are pretty worn and I was just using them for break in. As for the tusk tires, I have always been a Dunlop guy and I have tried a few sets of the emex t-35 and I really like them and I can get front and rear for $120. They also to me seem to perform just as well as the dunlops in my opinion
Awesome think it’s so cool what you are doing to preserve the classic Honda legacy I’d like to share other channels check out, Kaplan America ! For more CR 500
Do you think any of today's 450s will ever be collectable like the old two strokes? The older bikes were always progressing whereas nowadays bike tech has pretty much peaked.
No injury that surgery doesn't make worse is total BS, not everything heals correctly or sometimes at all on it's own, you should learn to be more active with your own health care, I broke my leg and had to have a rod put in my leg bone and without surgery I would have been crippled after 5 months of healing and physical therapy I can't even tell I ever broke my leg, thanks to surgery.
What a mess, I so I think any work out of this shop would lack quality. You need machine tools right next to the build to make sure everything is correct.

Dude what happened to you! You inspired me to purchase my first 1986 CR500!
Awesome video thanks for sharing praying you don’t need surgery and heal up fast
Take care and try not to stress about surgery. I had knee surgery years ago and it was a great experience. No pain! 👍
Good to have you back, take your time. Healing is important. Savoring the build of this new cr500. Take it easy Clint
You must've been flying on some painkillers or muscle relaxers lol. You were having a hard time talking which isn't like you. Stay well my friend

Wow! Your buddy's CR sounds as crisp as I've ever heard a 500 get. Should be a very good Mammoth racer.

Hi
That 500’s gonna be sick.
Man that CR500 sounds super crisp
Never thought I'd hear someone say they will be switching from Bridgestone tires to Tusk tires.. I'm interested in to his reasoning

His bike are EPIC and mint... and he has made a lot of them. (I am not keen on messy workshops for myself to work in.)
Clints builds are amazing!!!
