Easily the most motivational series on youtube even if you're trying to reach a high level in a different sport. To be able to see one of the greatest weightlifters of all time putting in the hard work day in and out definitely pushes you to do the same.
@@Chessmapling Of course, everybody has those days. The trouble is you need to just have the discipline to just go do it anyway, can be a very hard thing if you've reached a bit of a plateu in progress.
This is a common monetization of Western IP. As the West built Asia, specifically China in this case, most of the West's intellectual property was transferred and claimed by nationalistic tyrannical policies. So, while you won't get a look inside many Western training facilities, China has no worry that they area sharing any secrets - because they were built by the Western facilities who protect their methods. From this position, Chinese government can 1. get great publicity and money by releasing this material which will get people to click in because the Western institutions do not release it and 2. have no fear of any secrets being revealed because all of it is second hand information. Interesting!
Your videos have shown me how much the foundation of lifting is in the smallest, most basic things like correct posture and form. I'm no longer in any rush to lift heavy. My entire goal now is to perfect my form, to get comfortable on the light weights, first, and only then aspire to lift heavy. Thanks, Lu.
NOT necessarily. You HAVE to lift heavy. Theres no way around it. Yes your form will be disastrous at first but as you become stronger your form will improve.
@@nikobellic7586 Even Lu himself said in an interview that form must come before the weight, he was correcting squat jerk journalists clean and jerk form said something like 'why do you always train so heavy you don't need to do that, go back to like 60-70% fix your form'
It's honestly nice to see some raw footage of athletes. 90% of the fitness vids on YT are all about getting the best angles and lighting, training with the bros/gals, joking around, and talking about what the eat, supplements, etc, but you never really see any raw footage. Don't get me wrong, most of us including myself like those short clips of the gym hawties or the nice bro lifts, but watching Lu Xiaojun and this raw footage makes me what to go lift just as hard. Keep up the work my guy.
Yea. Alot of people were first shocked at how much muscle he lost, but that was using Bodybuilders as the standard whereby there are more muscle retention even if you stop working out for a substantial period of time. China weightlifters are more 1-2 rep per set and climb up crazily. There's barely any time under tension, just pure explosiveness. That's why even as he lost his muscles, he can still do "heavy" from the start easily.
@@albin123003 some people are just a fatty to begin with. If they stop training, they will just be a couch potato. Hence they are surprised that Lu loses so much weight and can't wait to jump on PED use. Of course, he does, but that's not the reason he lost weight. He lost weight because he stopped training for a year. What's surprising about that? Lu is a lean and fit guy, just check his videos when he was young and competed in 69kg youth category. Bunch of dumb fatty fuck...
Hate and jealousy is imaginable, most of people see muscle lost automatically speculate PEDs. Most of these people clearly never lifted weights in their life time. No one stays in peak form forever, especially when taking one full year off without proper training. This maybe surprising, YES you lose muscle when not training early as 3 weeks, this backfires harder to elite athletes. Again, Lu was never a “big guy” rather small, but with incredible strength. he’s 5’7/8 180pounds at his peak, now sitting 165 pounds. Losing 15 pounds of muscle in a time span in a one year is normal.
As someone who's been lifting 9 years naturally, speaking to pro enhanced lifters & long time natural lifters, your spitting out poop, my friend. He was on peds. He got off when he took the break. Pretty obvious.
Most people here are negative and not into Chinese sportsman. They just want to bring down any Chinese or China so that they are joyful. I think they lift their fingers and play with keyboard and their little bro below that is why they never have the strength to workout...plenty of Fat As in this channel.
If yo look closely at 01:56 , 02:12 , his left foot raises during lifting heavy weights while the right foot is planted on floor...seems like some muscle memory or small error in technique
He's dead lifitng 190 much nicer than 150kg. Funny to see it, but that how it works sometimes. Just like it's easier to squat with good form 80 than zero.
I'm still wondering why they're doing dips. It might be to keep the chest not being underdevelopped, but you can clearly see it working when he's pulling. I'm not again dips, this is an amazing exercise for strength and growth, but maybe they got another goal behind doing this one in pro weightlifting that i'm missing ?
Arent you supposed to not bend your knees inwards when going up doin squats? Im talking about the Movement on Tuesday 4:10 when he does the 180kg Front Squats specifically
As long as the knee isn’t twisting, his knees drive backwards which is in line with his foot. Totally reasonable as the weight gets heavier, they aren’t caving.
No u really don't want to but when u're moving such a weight that inward bend is just something that happens with high bar squats and it's not bending so far as something he would take the time to correct it because of the depth he squats he can't point his toes far out enough to widen his hips far enough to even try to fix it.
The only concern is that due to his age, recovery time is longer so it would take longer to get back to his peak form or even reach his peak. Taking a year off at his age, might prove to be damaging.
@@jrizzoplatizzo4011 NO. you become bigger if you eat bigger . With roids too . if u need to stay in a weight category you don’t get bigger . But you take steroids same . You think a 70 kg lifter can do 270 kg back squat natural ? drug free ? you should wake up
