yessss for black sun! it’s such a treat. slow paced, but roanhorse really knows how to keep you turning the pages! can’t wait to see your thoughts on it when you do pick it up.
🕰 So many great books. The All Souls Trilogy is amazing, loved the Diviners series, and Addie LaRue was in my top 5 of 2020. Black Sun is also on my 22 of 2022 list. I really want to read it this year. What a great list for the year.
I did the same thing with Black Sun…I was super hyped and it was one of my favorite covers…and then I never read it…. I’m hoping to get to that one this year as well.
Master Artificer is a much denser read than Master of Sorrows. Soooo much more to learn about the world. I loved it and love the series! Waiting patiently for book 3! I love the look of the Chiltern Classics. I own a few. Fav being the Little Prince
That is a good idea about reading the next book in the All Souls Trilogy. I read the first two Discovery of Witches and Shadow of Night when they first came out and it took me forever to get to the 3rd book and I ended up rereading the first two before picking up the 3rd so I can get back into the world and characters. To me even though I remember most of the plot for me I need to re read.
Dracula is one of my current reads! It may be looking to become a new favourite of mine which is surprising because I have a very complicated relationship with vampires and I have heard not exactly mixed reviews by other people that like the same type of gothic classics as me, but also not not mixed. So I was unsure of how I would feel about it but it turns out that I am really loving it.
Ooh those are a lot of intriguing titles! This year I'm trying to prioritize sci-fi and fantasy more, partly because I've now been put in charge of creating a new sci-fi/fantasy section in the bookshop where I work. Your vids have given me helpful tips about what sort of books to get, so thank you. (can't find my clock emoji so "insert clock emoji here")
From blood and ash is really great I also enjoyed the kingdom of flesh and fire and the crown of gilded bones I haven't read the prequel yet Black sun is really great
Shadow of night was so good and the tv show was amazing. I’m planning on prioritizing the sequel to a declaration of the rights of Magicians as well as city of brass.
Your jumper looks soo cozy 💚💗 where is it from!? Great video as always. I read "Mexican Gothic" last year and really enjoyed it but I think it's quite polarizing. Will be interested to hear your thoughts! I also really need to finally get to "Addie LaRue" but keep putting it off...
for libba bray i much preferred The great and terrible beauty series. the Diviners was near unbearable because it felt like the main character was vomitting up a '20's slang dictionary every time she opened her mouth, the plot was interesting though.
Silvia Moreno-Garcia is quickly becoming an auto buy author for me. I have only read two of her works and I love the way she writes her stories, the voice, the characters, everything is just so good. Mexican Gothic was the first I read by her, and the other is Gods of Jade and Shadow. V.E. Schwab is also an auto buy author for me but she has had a few misses too. Actually, most of the books I read by her have been misses, and I am sad to say that Addie LaRue was one. I thought it was very long with very little in it, and that includes things like character and development. But there has also been plenty of people that loved this so, it doesn't mean that you won't.
I loved Dracula, Mexican Gothic and Addie. The first book in from blood and ash I liked a lot but then I thought they got v repetitive. The diviners was a bit meh got kind of convoluted
I love the classic Dracula. I need to do a video like this. Maybe I will do a book a month I want to prioritize. One for each month. Hmmmm….I think I would like that. I hope you are able to get to each of these books and love them all. 📚📚📚📚📚 🕰 🕰🕰🕰
yessss for black sun! it’s such a treat. slow paced, but roanhorse really knows how to keep you turning the pages! can’t wait to see your thoughts on it when you do pick it up.
The Five is such an amazing book and imo totally deserves all of the hype! I think you'll find it super interesting
So eye opening, right?

I'm also planning to read Dracula and The Five! Can't wait to see what you think of them too.
Yesss we’ve got this!
Looks like a fantastic mix of books! Good luck tackling the stack!
I love your keyboard by the way! I love typewriters and have always wanted one of those keyboards
I can't wait to see what you think of Mexican Gothic, it was my favorite book of the year!
Your sweater is to sooo cute! Mexican Gothic has been on my radar for eons.
This is a great list overall, but I'm most looking forward to your take on Shadow of Night. I have many unpopular opinions about that book.
🕰 I really want to read The Five and Dracula also. Your copy of Dracula is gorgeous 🥰
We have 3 books on my yearly TBR the same. I have Dracula, The Invisible Life of Addy Larue and Diviners.
⏳😊 I may want to read Addie LaRue this year, though it's not a genre that I usually read. The plot sounds intriguing.
Ooo I love that copy of Dracula 👀
Master Artificer is a much denser read than Master of Sorrows. Soooo much more to learn about the world. I loved it and love the series! Waiting patiently for book 3!
I love the look of the Chiltern Classics. I own a few. Fav being the Little Prince
Addie Larue is great !
i wanna read The Five with you!! ive owned it for years too
Ooh I loved Black Sun. It was one of my favorites from last year and Fevered Star is highly anticipated. I hope you love that one and Addie.
I’ve had The Diviners on my TBR for over a year. Addie La Rue and The Five were two of my top reads for 2021. Black Sun sounds really interesting.
You have finally convinced me to read Master of Sorrows series...Also Black Sun appears very intriguing.
I can’t wait to read Rebecca Roanhorse! You’ve sold me on it. I’m bumping it to the top of my TBR! ⏰

I absolutely loved A Discovery of Witches trilogy it's one of my all time favorites now!📚🙂⏰
I loooved The Five! Definitely my favourite non-fiction I've ever read!
Yes to Dracula!! I'm also hoping to continue with A Discovery of Witches series :)
Dracula is one of my current reads! I don't read much non-fiction, but The Five was a really interesting read 🙂
I'd also love to read The Five, Black Sun and Mexican Gothic this year!

Master artificer is on my list of books to read this year too! ⏰
The Diviners is one of my favourite books, I read it every October. Definitely recommend reading it for Halloween
I read Addie LaRue last year and I flew through it.
From blood and ash is really great I also enjoyed the kingdom of flesh and fire and the crown of gilded bones I haven't read the prequel yet
Black sun is really great
I definitely relate to holding on to books I know I'm going to love. Definitely something I do and want to break out of this year!
i hope you like mexican gothic! it wasn't my favorite but it has amazing atmosphere. i also have some V.E. schwab on my tbr this year
You put this up on my birthday 😍
I love the Diviners 😊🕰️
Ooh you should do a read along for all of Libba bray!
I would love to but have had to cut down on readalongs/book clubs I do as it got too overwhelming!
Shadow of night was so good and the tv show was amazing. I’m planning on prioritizing the sequel to a declaration of the rights of Magicians as well as city of brass.
I really need to get to Black Sun too! I've had it for while now too 😆
Loved Addie 💙
⏰I loved THE DIVINERS 📖
🕰 love the list!
I'm hoping to read more standalones this year. Read The Bone Maker by Sarah Beth Durst last year and adored it!! ⏰

Agreed. The forced slang was so cringe. It was not natural at all.
I love that The Five is on this list!! It’s so insightful and really questions the prostitute label the women were given - its eye opening!
I loved Mexican Gothic please read it soon🙂

I loved song of Sacrifice 😊 it reads fast
Loved The Five - the audiobook was excellent and I don’t really get on with audiobooks 😊
⏰⏰⏰⏰⏰ you can do it!!!
Thank you!
you can do it
I loved Dracula, Mexican Gothic and Addie. The first book in from blood and ash I liked a lot but then I thought they got v repetitive. The diviners was a bit meh got kind of convoluted

How about Diviners read a long? Lets read all four books in the series?
I would love to but have had to cut down on readalongs/book clubs I do as it got too overwhelming!
@@AFrolicThroughFiction Oh yeah, you mentioned it a while back. I forgot, sorry. But you should still read Diveners soon, it's so good. 😍
⌚
🕰 These all sound great! I’m going to add The Diviners to my TBR.
What lip products are you using holy shit it’s so nice??😅
I can’t remember the colour exactly as I have a few similar, but it was a bare minerals lipstick with glossier clear lipgloss!
