I find the older models with thee side button,way better both in terms of quality and performannce.Also, they shouldn't have discotinued the Rucksack.It's one of their best models for the outdoors.
Ditto on rucksack, I've owned many and used them on moose to deer. When I found out they discontinued them, I ordered five of them. I've sharpened many of them over the years down to the original point. then retired it and grabbed another.
Thank you for making this video, I really enjoyed it and the history of these knives. I have the Work Champ and the Fisherman as well as the Swiss Champ which is my EDC knife, and I have a few others. I use them all, my workmates are always borrowing my Sentinel as they don't carry knives. The Swiss sure know how to make a functional and reliable tool of top quality.

You have some unique models, I wish you would do a video on them and give us a better look.
You could also compare to closest standard model Victorinox makes, maybe a list of tools in the description.

I really enjoy your videos, very accurate and concise but I also love diving into the history and features of each model which you do very well.
I am also a big fan/small time collector and have my first SAK in this size arriving this week, a one handed Sentinel “Clip”.
Currently the 58mm Mini Champ in both ALOX and in the Midnite model are my favorites with the Midnite manager coming in second. Every different key ring I have had Classic SD too 😂

Still have that old parachutist model with the strange curved blade. Pretty beat up after so many years, but a nice knife!
I have around 20 of the 111mm SAKs 1-2-3 & 4 layer models with both slide locks & liner locks, both two handed and one handed opening models. I have 2 of the Garants (one in my EDC rotation & one kept new in box) and one of the extremely rare 2 layer "Lockblade" knives with a slide lock made in 2019 a full 2 years after Victorinox stopped making slide lock knives ( Officially model 0.8803.W: Slide-locking, red scales)

that 1st issues knife is for Malaysian army,thats is the new model with digital camo scale n black onyx or whatever they called.the 3rd issues knife if for PGA ( PASUKAN GERAKAN AM ),its a special force of Malaysian policeman..VAT69 and TLDM (Malaysian special force) also have their version of victorinox sak and also issued version..sorry for my english 😅😅😅

I just ordered the 111mm work champ any one know where i can find + scales for it i can only find them for the shorter SAK
I don’t think they produce + scales for 111mm
Unfortunately Victorinox doesn't make any. Swissbianco has some alox style ones. I ordered some and they are nice but pricey.
I think the Hunter XS is now discontinued by Vic.
