It would be perfect if it had a proper philips screwdriver, which is probably my most commonly used tool around the house... Wish they had not discontinued the Craftsman, which was the same tool but swapped the corkscrew for the philips.

I would buy it if it was real layered steel not fake laser gravered pattern. Whole purpose of layered steel is to have hard 60+ HRC steel at the core of the blade and more soft like 55 HRC tough steel as outer layer for protection.

What was the original MSRP for the 71 Gardener? I'm finding them used in USA for $150+, but some sourced from Japan are under $100.

I carry an S111 very often on the victorinox belt hanger with the 40cm chain as part of my daily rotation. I love that little guy. It's an original Wenger. It has the smooth EVO grip which I prefer. The rubber inset ones peel off as they age with use. I have a Wenger S18 that is starting to suffer from peeling but I still carry it.
