  • It’s been a long time since the Accord has shined like she once did. After acquiring and parting ways with cars here and there, the Accord has been gotten neglected from time to time. By neglected, I mean it doesn’t get washed 2 times a week, metaphorically licked clean, and the upmost attention. That’s all about to change!
    Enough is enough. It has been a couple years since the Accord has gotten a full exterior multi-step paint correction, a complete ceramic coating, and the attention that it deserves.
    Feel free to take a look at the tools and products I’ve outlined in this video. By purchasing items below, it helps my channel operate and brings more awesome content your ways. Thank you all for your generous support!! 💙

    My 7th gen is a mess. It needs a polish and some parts repainted, i.e, the roof. It looks like a peeling sunburn, gotta love hondas mid 2000's clear coat issues. After that, ive got a new bumper to repaint and put on and I think ive underestimated the work that I have ahead of me. Stay safe!

      I use a squeegee. The garage is slightly sloped outwards so even without the squeegee, it does drain towards the garage doors. After I'm done washing the car, if there is still standing water, I squeegee it out, otherwise if it's a hot day, it will evaporate.

    Yep Black cars w/ silver wheels mesh perfectly. I got a black 8th gen Coupe w/ H&R springs riding on EVO X silver wheels 18x8.5 +38 and it sits just right and handles nice. I didn't do coil overs on my 8th gen since lowering the 8th gen 2" or more kills the axles way to quickly. This is my daily so i went w/ H&R and threw on a 3 rear peice camber kit if i wanted to do a track conservative alignment. Would post a pic if it let me lol. Cant wait for the K24a2/K24z3 block to be done and you can post about it

    Hi, love your videos! It is inspiring. I just bought a 2017 EX-L coupe, same color with less than 30K on it. The car is like new except those curb rashes on rims. I am 6'4", this coupe is one of the most comfortable car I had ever driven. How do you like your rim and tire combination, I am looking for something with less road noise and a bit softer ride. Thank you again for sharing your love of car!!

    • @milanmastracci
      @milanmastracci  3 роки тому

      Hi Walter, thanks for commenting and congrats on your new ride! I would look into lightweight wheel and tire combo, something like an 18" Enkei PF01 with a Michelin tire. It will be lighter than stock, quieter than stock, and will look great on your car. You just need to be careful when parking and going through drive throughs. Hope that helps!

    Great video! It's ok to use an air wrench to remove the lugs, but you should be using a torque wrench only to tighten them to spec.

    • @milanmastracci
      @milanmastracci  4 роки тому

      You can use an impact gun on the highest setting to remove the lug nuts, but when putting them on, on the lowest setting, it only torques the lug nuts to about 40 foot pounds, which is enough to hold the wheel, but not enough to go over spec. I then follow it up with my torque wrench 👍

    You mentioned about not doing to many agressive polish as at some point it might go through the clear coat. So how many times can you polish a car?
    Also you used ceramic wax. What kind of soap would you recommend that you could buy at a autozone or canadiantire that could be affective? I heard you have to use some specific soap once the coating is on to not remove the coating after ... buts it’s confusing...
    I’m about to go a complete paint restoration on my grand Cherokee for the first time and I want to make sure I do it right the first time. Tx a lot

    • @milanmastracci
      @milanmastracci  4 роки тому +1

      It all depends how aggressive you are with your polishing. If done right, you should be able to polish your car like this 10+ times, which will go a long ways. For the soap, I use a regular car soap that strips any waxes and dirt, just so that nothing adheres to the ceramic coating. Think of it like a 'skin' on top of the paint. You have multiple layers of skin, but the top one is the one that gets the most abuse. The ceramic coating is rather hard, and should be able to withstand most car soaps, even the ones that strip like Dawn dish soap. Because it isn't a wax, it won't come off with washes, only abrasion.

    Hey guy, I don't know if this is something you want to do but maybe you can look into it. I saw this person's page on Instagram who customizes OEM steering wheels. I saw the steering wheel for our car the 2008 Honda Accord coupe, It had carbon fiber, perforated red grips, d-shape sports bottom with red stitching. It's dope, I'm going to one soon. czd_emily is the Instagram page you can dm the guy for questions and prices. Check it out.

    The worst part of detailing is when you find new dents and scratches.

    Please do not spread incorrect information. You should NOT be applying anything on top of ceramic coating such as wax! Only a ceramic coating topper made for that specific purpose. if you apply Wax on top of a ceramic coating you are covering up the benefits of a ceramic coating such as self cleaning properties, high hydrophobic repelling and so on. Whoever told you Wax on top of Ceramic coating is wrong. Pick 1 or the other you should not mix the two or else its a waste of money.

    • @milanmastracci
      @milanmastracci  4 роки тому

      I don't see it in the same way. If you apply a wax and the wax fills in scratches and acts similarly to a ceramic coating, I see it has done the job. It has offered protection and makes the paint look better. If the wax does wear off, you still have the durability and protection of the ceramic coating. Have you tried doing both?

      Don’t top a ceramic coating with a wax, people.

    Why don't you PPF the car after you polish it

    • @milanmastracci
      @milanmastracci  4 роки тому

      Because the body of the car has too many imperfections for PPF IMO.
