Some of my favorite lures to fish are the old cedar Poe's RC1 and RC3 crankbaits. I have actually used these things during all 12 months of the year and caught fish on them. I've had most of them for 30 years or more and they've been repainted and had the hooks replaced multiple times . Thanks to Rick Clunn, I discovered one of the greatest baits ever made.
I've learned so much from you. The 45 works great in the summer on those flat calm, high sky days too. I fish the King Kong in the summer usually (learned that from you too). The problem with the 45 is getting it out of the fishes throat! "Choked it" is an understatement! Thank you, Rick!
8 degrees at my house right outside Little Rock, Ar this morning. Was wondering what the coldest temperature you ever launched at in a tournament or practice??
Hi Rick, these remind me of the old poes RC1 and RC3 , except in a deep diver version. Have you and the headhunter decided anything yet about adding a plastic bait keeper on the shank of the hook. I realize that may make a longer hook necessary, but have felt that was something the Trickster spinnerbait was lacking. Not a big fan of superglue. But I'll trust your wisdom. Thanks Rick!
I remember a couple decades ago, you were throwing the Norman deep baby N on bluff banks when the bite was tough. . Thanks for that . I became a 'baby N Freak' because of that! 10-4, on the small crank baits! Thanks Rick, you are king!
It’s good to see Rick but it also makes me sad that a man is kind of forced to do social media junk now. It’s the world but there is nothing like talking to this man at 15,35,47 years old in person!
Sounds a lot like “horizontal jigging” I learned this from Bill Dance back in the 90’s utilizing an Excalibur (now Bomber) fat free shad. I did not realize (until this video) that’s it’s more of an off colored water technique. Explains why that technique hasn’t been as successful in Table Rock as it has been in our water in Kansas.

Can't beat square billed crank baits.
