But if you have stuck with the team since the 90s, you value that longevity and love from a player who probably felt there was a good chance he would never see a title. A player who's execution may not have always been there, but his heart always was.

Thanks Perk for acknowledging the job that Nick Nurse did as far as making Pascal Siakam a starter and his ability to make adjustments. He also had to deal with numerous injuries, new players via trade and Kawhi’s absences due to load management. Impressive accomplishment for a first year coach.

I think Kawhi is the BEST Raptor of all time, but I don't think he's the greatest Raptor simply because he wasn't there as long. Especially if he leaves to go to LA. It would be like he was a bounty hunter, Toronto acquired for a rental. If he stays then I can see the argument made, that is NO SLIGHT on Kawhi. I think he's the BEST RAPTOR, not the GREATEST.

Yes he got them over the hump but individually he wasn't Toronto's best player. Kawhi was already an accomplished player due to his time on the Spurs, you can't transfer his accolades for what he done for that team to Toronto. Same goes with Jordan when he was on the Wizards. Yes Jordan was a 6x champion, but that was on the BULLS. Not Washington. Jordan at that time was washed up and past his prime. There's no shame in that. Why do you think people gloss over his time in Washington? There are plenty of people that surpass Jordan as the greatest and best Wizard of all time. Greatest/Best Wizard of all time ≠ Greatest/Best NBA player of all time. As for people that were better than Jordan, were Wes Unseld, Elvin Hayes, and Gilbert Arenas to name a few. They accomplished more than Jordan did under his time as a Wizard. What Kawhi accomplished makes him the greatest, but that doesn't necessarily make him the BEST raptor. And of course you don't have to agree with me dude, I respect if you feel differently on the matter. This is just my thoughts.
