Right, my first time was a bareback horse flipping and landing on top of me right out of the chute when I was 18...I am 55 now and it has dislocated well over 50 times in those years since. Not fun. Only time I went to the hospital was the second time.
No it depends on the severity. I was in California and it dislocated while I was returning to shore after surfing for the first time. (I had forgotten it had dislocated before when I was a kid.). At the clinic the doc put me on the examination table but the spasms threw me off. He then injected, I think, morphine into my buttock and he glided the arm back in place. It was extremely sensitive afterward for awhile (days or weeks) as my arm is say 15 lbs or something like that. It felt like it was going to dislocate but in the resting position in a sling it can't.
This is very good advice for first-time patients with shoulder dislocation. My first shoulder dislocation happened while snowboarding in 1994. It never was the same afterwards and I had chronic dislocations of my right shoulder (20 times or more). It would usually pop back into place, except for 3 ER interventions. The pain was excruciating! I finally had the labrum ligament surgically repaired in 2020. It was the best decision I ever made. PT works if the labrum isn't torn or stretched too badly. Many Orthopedic Docs recommend surgery for young poeple only. Thankfully, Dr. Salata, University Hospitals of Cleveland, was my surgeon (Cleveland Browns Ortho). He ordered diagnostics: MRI and CT with contrast, which demonstrated a severly torn labrum. Five anchors with double sutures did the trick !
I’ve dislocated my shoulder twice when I was young (under 21). I never did any physiotherapy. Fifteen years later I was getting a massage and the masseuse was like “oh you’ve had shoulder injuries that didn’t heal properly”. And now occasionally I’ll get some pain.
Just a little thing, but using an abbreviation, "emerge"...I've never heard that terminology used where I live, so, to make your advice more completely accessible you may want to consider using full words, 'Emergency' department of your local hospital.
I can say from experience that shoulder dislocation Is painful, in 2018 I slid on a sheet of ice, I fell elbow first then my shoulder dislocated and went infront of my chest, I ended up shattering my entire humorous and busted 3 growth plates. Love you alls content, where are you from?
I experienced a shoulder dislocation before . I don't think the doc here highlighted enough the spectrum of pain. My dislocation was beyond extremely painful, the breath knocked out of me, absolutely no control of the dislocated arm, felt like I could have gone into cardiac arrest. I should be doing rotator cuff exercises but for the most part try to be always aware of the arm position that can lead to the dislocation.
I dislocated my shoulder from falling and putting my hands out to stop my fall. This is the most painful thing ive every had worse than child birth. Went to ER was in there 5 hrs and they did not gove my anything for pain. But when they put my arm back in i felt like i was in heaven. 😊
Dislocating your shoulder is probably one of the most uncomfortable ways to dislocated something but it is not the most painful place to dislocated like there is dislocating your heel or your foot or dislocated your entire knee like what happened to me there’s also dislocating your neck your back or any other bone in your body but dislocated your shoulder it is probably the most uncomfortable if I have to do say so myself
I dislocated mine while hiking and my husband put it back into place! We were lucky and had internet and found out how to do this. Laid face down on a log and he gently tugged on my arm went right in. I felt such relief! We hiked 12 miles that day! 😊
My Ma dislocated shoulder was the worst hospital ever seen. It swelled up enormously. It damaged a nerve as well and they took photos for educational purposes. Next ten months seein occupational and pyhsio therapists. The hand to shoulder injury never regained their original movements, even after twenty years.
Yeah, so the EMTs dislocated my son’s shoulder on the way to the hospital (also gave him a serious gash when they slammed his foot in the ambulance door🚑). No one in the hospital did anything about it and my son had to slam it into the door jamb when he returned home.
Could you tell me about the negatives of THC and/or Hemp derived cannabis such as delta 8, I’ve been looking into sleep aids and my pills make me feel like a zombie

You're not supposed to just power through the pain and pop it back in by yourself?? 😮

I hate that the chance for redislocation is so high... i really hate it
Dealing with it now 2x it happened before I even got a chance to recover and now I don't see it ever getting any betterb
@@SkeemoSkisdid it hurt the as same as the first one? And how long in between when it happened the second time.

Do a vid on SSNHL. Nobody is really aware of it, even doctors that are not ENTs.
