This castle is a Renaissance residence, built by Louis XI in 1465, which stands in the French town of Langeais in the department of Indre-et-Loire, in the Center-Val de Loire region. It replaced an old fortified castle built at the end of the 10th century by the Count of Anjou

have you seen nearby Chateau de Cinq Mars? My grandparents used to own it before the war, and they knew the owners of Langais very well. You could always see Langais from their windows.
