Notifications is another battery drainer ! I turn off all social media notifications and just check them periodically! This is where schedule summary would come in to play for notifications. But turning off all these unnecessary notifications definitely helps battery life !
True, but I’ve already explained that on my “battery saving tips” videos. This video was focusing on one specific issue that continues to come up. Thanks for the feedback.
I had mine background app refresh turned off for all apps but facebook still shown more than 3 hours in background activities within 10days which is high
After turning off background activity, make sure you go into the app switcher and completely quit the app, hopefully that helps stop future background activity from the app, If it doesn’t help, I would definitely look into deleting the app because that shouldn’t be the case
It’s not the apps it the software 18.2.1 this has a bug that makes the battery drain , I been having the same apps before without any issues with drain battery but sence I updated to 18.2.1 now it is an issue so I do think it’s the software!!!
The biggest advantage of Apple Intelligence is its forced Apple to finally provide a reasonable amount of base memory to everyone. The feature itself is a Trojan horse that should be disabled.
So what happens if an app is not running in the background? It seems nobody addresses that issue. Does it stop notifications, are posts not updated etc etc etc?
mine shows no cell coverage sometimes. and I do beleive it, however does it supposed to do that on background? find cellular connectivity. it does not show the time like others. but it shows significant percentage than the rest.
I am an iphone 15 user, background app refresh is totally off, before going to bed approx 12 pm my iphone was 66% charged, and when I checked it in the morning it was 32% don't know what the heck is going wrong... P.S: before going to bed Wifi was off, mobile data off, low power mode ON, brightness super low... What else should I do??? Only switching off the phone is remaining now..
Sorry sir your solution ain’t true That time it shows down there is the amount of time the apps been used in the current 24hrs I tried it with my other phone just laid down no data connection nothing the battery’s okay didn’t show any app
I’m I the only one who still has lag on their phone? Especially when opening the emoji keyboard it takes at least 1 second to open Sometimes my phone is really laggy, and I only had this phone for 3 weeks and it’s the 16 plus.
Ever since EVER updating to just ios 18 in general my battery been going down so fast 😂😂iOS 17 was saving my life ! Even when I updated to iOS 18 my screen time been acting up saying I’ve been on my phone for 7hrs which is a lie haha
The settings you’re referring to is background app refresh. This setting allows the app to refresh for new content while running in the background. So if you open an app and don’t fully close it (swipe up from app switcher) It doesn’t stop the app from refreshing for new content with the setting turned on. Apps like news can refresh for content and send notifications. Apps like Spotify and Sirius XM often are run with the screen turned off because you’re listening not watching. That’s considered running the background and will contribute to the time spent in background in the battery usage stats.
Thats apple ways. as simple as that. they put and injects some issues there to buy times for the upcoming iphone series. hayyyy diff. years, same shittts😂😂😂😂
To get the most battery, simply turn off everything or do not buy a phone at all.
Then the company will go bankrupt without selling phones
😅

As always, great video
Also “always use location”

Thanks for this video
No problem
This battery issue is app and software wise
The more updates apps get the more powerful they’ll be and the more battery they’ll consume to run ..
😢
Already tried turning off background app refresh but WA is still running in the background for almost an hour
Same bro!
mine 16hrs
I had this happen on my iPad Pro m4
We need asap 18.2.2 or 18.3. Really ios 18 is the worst software…
I agree with that
Agreed
I got the background activities turned off, but some apps were still showing background activities. Do you now why?

@@iDeviceHelp is the app switcher in the general app or it's placed somewhere else?

Came here to say this
18.2 had no issues, 18.2.1 is awful. Battery drain and phone getting hot like my 15pm used to
CarPlay also frequently disconnects & connects automatically
Mail is running for 3H in the background, but I don't see a way to disallow that
Try going to Settings - Mail - Accounts - (scroll to bottom) - Fetch New Data - (turn off Push) 😊
use gmail

Turn off AI, its trash and wastes so much battery.
Indeed is trash !
Trash indeed
Total trash Apple intelligence biggest flop ever
It’s not available in my country but I get battery drain nonetheless on iPhone 16
@@BlackopsUSN I agree
Excellent video. Thank you for sharing 👍
Battery just gets worse with each update. Might be time to switch to Android
Same
Thanks for the tip! Checked my battery app and background refresh and turned off a few apps that didn't need to be on.
18.2.1 is even worse for older iphones
The best choose to turn on reduce white point for battery life I don't understand why you always talking about background apps
This works?
@@Kingjoeo Try that
The screen uses a lot of battery resources we all know
Turn off Apple intelligence, until iOS 18.4 releases just don’t use Ai
I turned off background app refresh however photo app and some other apps still work in background
I'm definitely having battery drain issues.

I'm really missing out on iOS 18, since my 2017 iPad Air 10.5-inch is only running iOS 17.7.3
how to off mail app from background?

After updating to 18.2.1, all my notifications are not working now. Any suggestion ????
but when you turn off background app refresh for whats app could you get notification when you got new message ?
Why would I want to turn off background activity for a messaging application?
Apple: The phone has 100 features that make the phone worth $1,000.
Real life: turn off all the features so the battery lasts a day. Smh.
Just get developer mode and turn off any app that closes automatically
My iPhone has had issues with face recognition after the update.
It needs more light to recognize now. 😮
I hate this update there’s a lots of bugs on my iphone 11

iphone 15 pro max was fine ios 17 no battery drain, soon as updated to ios 18.2.1 big mistake apple sort it out lol
Mail is draining my battery
What’s the negative consequence of turning it off ?
As far as I know, the app will only refresh when you launch it. It won’t be constantly fetching for new data in the background while it’s closed.
@@iDeviceHelpso you get msg notifications only when you open ?
