- Hello and welcome! The project is shown in the first 10(ish) minutes of the video. I answer viewer questions on the last portion. Another quick project that will work in any sized junk journal and it uses up both washi and book/dictionary pages. It’s something we’ve all seen and created many times, I just do it a little differently than some. I hope this inspires you to create and thank you for watching.
Awesome as always!! Thanks so much, Cori! You rock, my friend! ❤️
No, you rock 🥰
Thank you, Cori. Another fabulous pocket idea plus all of the tips. Please keep them coming - I’m like a sponge, just soaking it all up!😂😂
That makes my heart happy. I love it when folks can skip the many, many
mistakes I make.
I am so enjoying this series. Using pictures of your beautiful grandbaby is a great idea. Thank you for sharing
I credit Gayle with that one. That little peanut melts my heart.
Love your ideas! Your grand baby is darling!
Thank you and yep, I agree. She went home late yesterday and I miss her like crazy 💕
Wow this is so clever. Your mind must be buzzing all day and night thinking of pockets. Thank you xx
Lol! My mind is a squirrel; it’s always going in different directions!
Your ideas and processes are so inspiring. . So much you show is a ‘first’ for me. I am sure no one was distracted by your puppy barking. TFS
Thank you for your grace. Our monster doggies get all fiercely protective when anyone walks by. I’m happy to hear the videos are beneficial to you 😊
Love how you use paper that we all probably have Cori! I am anxious to try all these ideas, most of them new to me. Your granddaughter is so very sweet as your pocket tester! Throughout the pandemic, I have been sending small paper projects to my grandchildren, loaded with lots of messages. They have loved it, as it’s a hug from grandma and they love getting mail.🥰🇨🇦
What a sweet and special grandma you are! I'm sure your grandchildren will appreciate your notes and creativity and the fact that grandma is giving them a love. Thank you for your kind comments and that little granddaughter of mine melts my heart.
Another new journal page for me, I am so happy that I found your videos. I also make my journals to give away to family and friends. Thank you for sharing your time and talent.
My pleasure and I’m happy to hear you’re finding them useful.
Hi Cori!!! I love your Idea Journal decorated. It's even more inspiration to see how you use certain papers, cardstock, and washi tape. We can also get ideas on how you have decorated your ideas with things that we have and may not be using. Thanks for taking the time to share not just your idea, but also other ways to try them.
I love learning from others and it’s always my hope that someone can take something I’ve shared and make it their own ❤️
I love your cascading pockets. The way that you create them, I've never seen it done like that. A sharper way of doing it. I truly enjoy watching you craft. Tyfs!
Thank you. Your kind comments are always much appreciated 💕
That warms my heart, thank you. This way works for me as I often put sticky-outie bits on my tags and this way they don’t catch going in and out of the pockets.
@@CoriDahmen you are so talented! You hold my interest!
Your pockets are the so awesome. Your instructions are easy to follow. Thanks for sharing 😍🌴
Thank you. I know there are always new and not-so-new crafters looking for different ways to do things. I’m glad my way is encouraging or inspiring you.
I am so thankful that you give of yourself to inform us that there are many ways to do ideas. You make us believe we too can be creative! Thank you so much for sharing your time with us. :-) Hugs and blessings!
You CAN be creative! I’m certain of it! Learning from each other is what it’s all about 💕
Very inspirational. Really keeps me creative. Thank you

I’m so happy to hear you’re enjoying them 😊
So love your work! Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Thank you for saying so 💕
Your granddaughter is just so adorable and so cute you used the photo for your pocket tester. I have dogs and never even noticed them barking until you mentioned it lol Thanks again for another awesome tutorial, this one gives me a reason to use my hordes or washi
Thank you! She just had her 7 month picture taken, so a new photo of my little cutie is coming soon! So glad you are finding them useful.
So glad I came across your videos. I love your techniques and tips, especially since I’m new at this journal thing. Thank you again.
Welcome and thank you! My goal is to share items that anyone can create, whether they’re new or old masters 😊
Love your videos. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you and you are welcome!
Cori thank you I have learned so much from you been using several in a book I’m making for my mom. Thanks again
I love sharing ideas and I’m always happy to hear when something I’ve made works for others 😊
Such great ideas!!! Thank you
So glad you like them 💕
Cori, another wonderful idea. So simple, yet so functional and attractive. I, too, started with scrapbooking and have way too much paper, so I enjoy seeing how you use your paper and how you decorate your items. I love making journals but feel like I need to use more of my “scrapbooking” paper and less coffee stained, or printed digitalls. It’s something I struggle with because it can be hard to use brighter, more colorful papers in my journals. (Hint, hint. Maybe another series topic?!?). I remember your name from scrapbooking days and am thrilled to find your channel. My intention is to recreate every one of your ideas because they are all so great. This idea gets extra points because I get to use my over abundance of washi tape. Personally, I’d be happy if this series never ended. Thank you so much for sharing, and your granddaughter is the cutest!!!
Lol! Thank you and welcome! I also like making happy mail, and I tend to use the brighter papers for those projects. I do a hybrid sort of scrapbooking these days and I use the more colorful pieces for that as well. I also really like the 40’s and 50’s style and color, so I’ll probably make a journal in that style too. More bright reds and blues 😊 For now I’m using a combination of coffee dyed mixed with book, dictionary and scrapbook paper. It’s what makes me happy... currently. I adore that sweet peanut, but I know I’m prejudiced about how cute she is 💕
Such great ideas. Thank you for sharing
My pleasure 💕
Love all your tips and ideas.
I’m glad you’re finding them helpful 😊
Keep them coming please, you have the best ideas. 😘
Lol! Not so sure about “best”, but I do have a slew of ideas... generally inspired by some amazing crafty people.
This was good. Gave me lots of ideas. Thanks!
I love sharing ideas! Glad some spoke to you.
This is another great idea. It is easy and makes a striking statement and functional. I need to make an ideas journal just for Cori ideas!
Lol! Gayle is creating one with ideas from several folks. It works! Glad you’re enjoying the series 😊
What an awesome idea and not bulky at all! I just today finished my fourth journal, my first is still not completed, it's kind of a mesh mash of things kind of like an idea journal. Love the way you explain things, second to Gayle though 😉
Lol! We do love our Gayle. I grace papers while she crafts each morning. That, and coffee, is the best way to start the day 💕
catching up Cori, love this!!
Thank you Carol. Have fun!
Just found you 2 weeks ago, love your ideas and have made several of them already.
Thank you and I’m glad you’re finding the ideas helpful 💕
Thank You for this
You’re very welcome. I’m glad you found it helpful 😊
I love the pocket page! Thanks for sharing all of your creations with us! I'm having such a great time creating these with you! I agree with Gayle, love seeing your grand daughter's pictures!
Thank you! I love that you’re creating along with me 💕
I love this idea and using the washi tape with it. I was thinking of how to use up more of my washi and could only think about using it in my glue book. tfs
Glad you enjoyed it. More washi on tap today!
That packing tape tip is genius! You have so many ideas! I want to try them all. Loving this series...thank you!
Lol! Go for it! Try them! I imagine some will work for you and others.... maybe not so much. I love the personalization this hobby allows. But the packing tape? Win for everyone.
Wonderful tutorial. TFs
Thank you! I’m happy to share ideas 😊
These flips and flaps are getting better
Im so happy I found you Cori
Oh BTW you should pop into our latest Sue from Paper inspirations pockets tonite in Oz
They are something else too, a little hard for me right now,but I will work up to it, when I get through these
Thanks a million
🇦🇺🌻🌻
Thank you for the tip! I’ll definitely watch when I return from CA.
That is an awesome book with such beautiful, ingenious and remarkable ephemera! ❤️
Awww, thank you. I enjoy making it.
This is neat.
Thank you!
Cori l love your ideas and sharing, l think most if the DP you use is Tim's but would love to know for sure, perhaps you could mention which ones you're using when sharing. Thanks a million.
Thank you for the reminder! Most of my paper is 10+ years old, and unavailable now, but I should and will try to share my source for the newer lines 😊
@@CoriDahmen 10+ now l don't feel so guilty about my hoarding of paper 🤣🤣thank you.
@@maryortiz9036 lol! Some day I’ll show you the absurd amount of paper I have 😳
WOW, this is lovely, TFS, I am redoing my craft room because it is so cluttered and it frustrates me to no end but I have this on my list. I adore the work you have done. Your grand daughter is adorable.
Me too! I mean, it’s organized by some standards, but I hate creating in clutter. It doesn’t bother me when others have cluttered spaces, but I don’t enjoy working that way. I’ve had some ideas and I’ll share them before too long. This weekend... if I can get the pieces built by then. That little girl owns me, thank you.
Love your ideas Cori! I also have a lot of cardstock, but it's mostly solid cardstock, do you have any ideas for using up plain cardstock? I have every color, I used to be a scrapbooker too, but haven't done it for a while now; I'd still like to use it up! I'm excited to see how you make those covers!
You can use solid card stock in the same ways you used double sided paper. It makes a great base for envelopes and coin envelopes and pockets of all kinds. In fact, much of what I do can be done with card stock instead of pattern paper. It also works well as journal pages, you just use fewer pieces per signature and fewer pages per journal. I often use colors I don’t care for to try different folds and ideas. I don’t feel so bad when something doesn’t work out as I’d like.
What are you pull tip to your tags. I started to do a journal following your episodes I’m. You are so inspiring, thank you for your ideas
Hi Eleanor and thank you. I'm not sure what you're asking about the tags... what did I use?
Design teams are great but makes creating feel like work and that makes them not so great. I taught classes for several years, I stopped because I didn’t enjoy my usual creating when I was thinking about teaching and what I had to do for my next class.
I agree completely. I’ve done a few guest design gigs, and I enjoyed that much more. Great product to work with. One-and-done commitment. No continual stress on the creativity. These videos are my classes currently. I get to share what I love and I don’t have to worry that my students are getting their monies worth 😊
How many episodes will there be of flips, flaps and folds? I just started a separate single signature journal for these tutorials.
🤷♀️ I do t really know! When it starts to get boring or the ideas seem stale, I’ll move on. I have way more ideas and concepts than I do hours, but I’m thinking maybe 40ish total for this series? Honestly, could be more or a little less. My book is getting chubby already 😊
I’m going backwards and gonna need to watch again so I can make my own. Need more time in the day to get everything I want to do done!
Amen sister! There are not enough hours in the day to make and share all that is running around in my brain 😊
