Well, now I feel a gaping hole in my heart having finished the Mass Effect Trilogy: Legendary Edition. I even started making this video early, right after the "Priority: Rannoch" mission. Tali has found her way into my heart not only as one of the great fictional characters, but also a romance partner. She was my emotional anchor to the climaxes of both Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, and a big reason I chose to destroy the Reapers in the end and achieve the Perfect Ending.
Perhaps they found Shepard, bruised and bloodied but alive in the wreckage of the Citadel and perhaps he found Tali on Rannoch and retired there. At least, I like to think that's how it went down.
I love Tali'Zorah's character and I love this love story. It's not every day that a video game or a romance leaves me yearning for more, but this is definitely one of them.

When I was younger and playing these games for the first time, I was all about Liara. Years later, I'm all about Tali. I just one day noticed, that she was "Ride or Die", a level of loyalty and protectiveness that Liara never had. Not just to Shep, but to her fleet, her family. Tali is the best, and I still hope to one day get back to her. I hope Bioware gives me the chance in ME4

I just want a game that's as good as the originals..of course if we can see Tali and the old crew, all the better.

And it gets worse when you realize that it's Liara's fault that so many of Shepard's relationships are strained or broken in Mass Effect 2.
It's because of Liara's inability to let Shepard go and rest in peace that they're resurrected by Cerberus and kept on the Illusive Man's leash. It's because they're forced to work with Cerberus that the Alliance, the Citadel council, Anderson and Kaidan/Ashley don't trust them.
Liara is loyal to Shepard, yes, and she redeems herself somewhat in Mass Effect 3, but I feel like a romance with them is out of the question after Mass Effect 2. Liara was so focused on what *she* wanted, she didn't think about what Shepard might've wanted.
Both Tali and Garrus don't trust Cerberus, but they look past that and stay by Shepard's side because they're their friend. They might not entirely understand or comprehend the reasons Shepard works with Cerberus in Mass Effect 2, but they trust them.
"I assumed you were undercover, Shepard; maybe even planning to blow Cerberus up. If that's the case, I'll loan you a grenade. Otherwise, I'm here for you. Not for them."
Did anyone else hear that cracking sound? Yeah, that was my heart breaking for Tali again.
She's literally the reason I chose to kill the Reapers and achieve the Perfect Ending. I'm getting back to her, no matter what.
Played the trilogy for the first time, romanced Tali as a good boi, so you know what I did in the second playthrough?

She deserves the galaxy and nothing will stop me from giving it to her.
I was torn after me 2:
I loved Liara, I was happy she still wanted me after ME 1.
But then then Tali proved to be a better thief than Kasumi. I never realized that my heart was already in hands.
Then in ME 3 when Liara tried to take me back... I just couldn't.
I still loved Liara, but I wasn't IN love with her anymore.
I couldn't betray Tali when she (and Garrus but not that way) was the only one to come back for me, when no one else would and I was surrounded by Cerberus assets.
When I was surrounded by darkness, she was my only light; my shining star for a lost Spacer born.
That's why I let James just barely get away with calling her Sparks.
For all the woes the me3 ending has sown into the trilogy. It gave one bittersweet feeling to all the romances. No game will ever break me like the voice crack in Talis voice as she knows we won’t be coming back to her.

@SirusCreed is it really a good story if the hero survives at the end? My shepherd was a spacer who never knew his dad but with growing up on military ships marines filled that role all he ever wanted was to be a soldier it's all he knows he gave everything for a victory he knew he could never experience that's why he sends her away he chose this doomed path when hers is just starting.
The way that EDI looks at her if you choose synthesis absolutely breaks my heart...
The way their relationship is written makes it so unique compared to any other in the series, it has almost no sexual desire between them at first but it’s built in mutual care, love and respect for eachother, ever since they met on her pilgrimage she admired him but held herself down because she was afraid Shepard didn’t feel the same and that the suit would make it difficult for their relationship to work yet it does and in the 2nd game you can easily tell she is constantly nervous and worried yet understanding that Shepard may not be fully into this relationship only for it to blossom and she becomes amazingly confident by the 3rd game, more comfortable and less worried, sexually their relationship grows a bit but the whole sentiment behind their mutual love and respect carries forward, it is such a beautiful relationship and is part of what makes her my favourite romance across any game I’ve ever played, when the end of the 3rd plays, it always breaks my heart hearing her final words to Shepard, the last time she saw him was him rushing into a beam of light alone being attacked by reapers as she’s to injured to keep going 😢

You will never convince me a red blooded male Shepard saw tali’s “assets” in that skin tight bodysuit and never once thought “I’d spank that until she called me daddy” at LEAST once.

May we all find gals as perfect as this broken more times than it should and mended too little soul. For all I'm aware she was based on every positive quality a woman can possess put into one. A rare sight here indeed.
Tali really was an amazing person..even though I know she just 1's and 0's in a game brought to life by a talented voice actor..she still feels really to me..like all of the Normandy crew..these games honestly helped me get through one of darkest times in my life..my thanks to Bioware for creating such a masterpiece..may we see it continue with ME4 and beyond...
You know In my opinion Tali is most definitely the favorite of mass effect my heart burns ever so bright for her and I do hope I get to be with her again in Mass Effect 4 afterall she deserves so much she deserves better.
Shepard has to be brought back again and the next game should end with the RO proposing to Shepard instead of sex scene NO.4

@@Ace_Of_Spades98 though it’d be a bit tricky with BroShep if it was the human women since there are places in the world where women can’t propose like Japan for example so unless their ethnicity were confirmed it’d either have to be retconned or say that the world changed after 160 years and women everywhere can propose to their loved one regardless but it’s easier with Liara and Tali as asari are monogendered and Liara did refer to her “dad” as Benezias partner implying that there are a asari equivalent of marriage and throwaway dialogue in the citadel elevator in the first game has Tali say to Ashley that the quarians aren’t sexists which makes me think that both genders can do the same activities rather than some activities being done by just men or just women which should include marriage proposals

@@Ace_Of_Spades98 Shepard doesn’t get to propose both because he’d/she’d be more focused on whatever galaxy-level threat they face than their love life but also because of the games theme of choices meaning that if the RO proposes Shepard would either accept or deny the proposal as it’d be the replacement sex scene from the original trilogy when you launch the final mission which can also be accepted or denied
This is why I love the tail romance. She is willing to sacrifice everything for her people, her friends, her family, and shepard. But she will never give up on you. She will stand by your side even as things fall apart. She will remind you how much you mean to her, she is your best friend and your lover. I just wish I didn’t have to either die so people can keep their newly befriended ai’s or kill them so I can stay alive. Tali deserves both and more.

There are many ways I could describe how much I love Tali. She's one of the only fictional characters out there that makes me feel a certain way. Anytime I think of this character, I think of all of her little quirks that make her so adorable and badass. Her voice, unique appearance, intelligence, shotgun, her love for movies and musicals, her loyalty. It's all SO amazing. BioWare does the uncanny and manages to write characters we come to love like none other.
I first played the trilogy when I was starting 8th grade back in late 2018 and it changed my life like it has for many other people. I fell in love with Tali and all the other characters then, and I still am in love with them all.
Anyway, I thank whoever reads this comment! I'm sure many others can relate to me.

I'd do anything for tali, even if it meant me sacrificing my life for her to be happy I'd make that sacrifice with a smile. There's a reason she's the most loved character in this series, I don't give a damn if it makes me basic. Tali is worth everything. 😥😔😌
Dammit, I just finished the game today, the whole trilogy with Tali by my side, seeing this only makes my pain bigger, Tali... this... this romance... Damm it hurts, I wished they had more, I wished they had more time, I wished I could have more time ... getting this sad for a game... and people say games are stupid...it may be sad I want to cry... not being able to see these two, having a happy ending, shepard surviving, going to Rannoch, finding Tali, seeing them hug, embracing themselves, the quarian immune system getting strong to the point she doesn't need a visor nor respiratory helmet, seeing her and Shepard building a home, if possible a family, living their lives in peace together. If I could I would create it, a mod, a comic, something... something where I could bring these moments to live, but I can't... I don't have the talent for it.... I wish we could see it... dammit ... why does it hurt so much....

If you’re playing on PC, there are mods that give you that happy ending. It doesn’t make it sunshine and bunnies, but it gives you that closure with the real possibility that they went on to do just that. I feel your pain. Between Liz Sroka’s voice and the writing, Tali is easily the best video game character, period.
@@Gillymonster18 sadly it was on the PS, at the time I didn't know about the mods so i chose the ending to blow everything up, destroy the reapers, little did I know I was killing EDI and the geth, which probably will be a set back for the quarians immunity evolution, thinking that shepard could survive in a some magical way, if I could go back I would fuse myself with them, mixing everyone's DNA everyone would still leave and in a way shepard... perhaps a part of him would always be with Tali.

I tried to do a playthrough where I romanced Liara throughout all three games instead of just going for Tali the first chance I could...honestly one of the hardest things I could have done.
That's gonna be me when I do a Renegade Male run with Ashley, Miranda and then Ashley again.

Ive always! Romanced tali from the begining...i started at the second game and only later played the first and all 3. She is an amazing charecter and i can only hope i meet a women like her for real one day

Can i just say, i love this video, but a part of me was genuinely offended that this Shep didn't give Tali the Geth Incursions data in ME1 to help her pilgrimage, idk if you missed the quest or started from 2, or what but i was legit low key mad
(if you give her the data there's a paragon option to prove your identity on Freedoms Progress by mentioning the data and asking if it helped in her Pilgrimage)

Been on a Mass Effect video spree on this website lately and came across this (been thinking of getting back into the series after 20+ playthroughs and a long hiatus). I must say it's a well done tribute to Tali and romance for MShep. I was a Talimancer for the longest time during my first 4-5 playthroughs; but Liara started to grow on me after Shadow Broker's release (coincidentally this is when I swapped from Soldier to Vanguard and never went back). I still feel bad when I have go through ME2 and reject Tali; but it all works out when she and Garrus are seen flirting and getting together in ME3. Can't let two of my best squadmates end up alone.

I hope they do bring back shep and their romances for the next game. We have a confirmed liara and a possible Shepard, but it would literally be so easy for them to pull the cop out and say “it was indoctrination theory the whole time! You survived and destroyed the reapers!” The question is who the next enemy would be seeing as all the major bad guys are taken out already and the galaxy is united. Maybe more splinters in the galaxy like between the krogan and salarians? Or more geth (and others) who take the new reaper tech and become essentially a galactic crime syndicate from upgrades? I can only hope for my love to be brought back regardless
I'm torn between wanting Shepard back and not. Depends if they're the playable character or an NPC, I guess. Also that would make the destroy ending the "true" ending (which I have no problem with and honestly it makes the most sense with Shepard as a character) and undermine their sacrifice a little. They fought and led this war for a sunrise they'd never see and there's meaning in that.

Fantastic Video, FR the Canon Romance. Here’s to hoping we reunite with her (+Garrus) in ME4 & here’s to hoping despite what the homo-erotics will tell you & Jen Hale. They both return EXACTLY as we remember them, cause I don’t want to see them get butchered to death. Just finished LE a few days ago & it was so beautiful & God-damn refreshing to see a straight romance between my boi Shep & Tali the best girl (Heart Breaking Ending). Part of what makes Tali & Garrus special, besides that they’re straight is that they both were there for Shepard from the start. The three of them are the holy trinity in my opinion, plus if you don’t romance her (For Some Reason) then they both get together, so cute. You made my day & I find peace & happiness in people who love it & feel the same way about it as I do. Til then here’s to hoping ME4 does this justice. Well done ☺️

ahh tali just to come back to her i get the red ending sacrificing the geth and edi i think my neutral shepard will always carry that weight but still worth it.
i remember starting the ME1 and when i saw the death of jenkins and i said sorry mate i'm no hero, then thinking im going to do everything to make the humans win which is why i end up with ashley (which im glad of that mistake if not i would be with liara in 2 and 3 too), later on i was trying my best to help all the races like when i talked with wrex read about the krogans and though im going to help you race too if i can man, then in the second game i was almost at a heart attack in the suicide mission fearing i could lose anyone in my crew no one dies and i though at the end my shepard its a hero xD and finally at the last fight no shepard without vakarian, i have a home come back to me and the final i remember how i almost cry knowing that my decision will kill edi and the geth after making them alive and i when i was about to pick the red ending i got like a flashback from the first game and i said to myself i really am no hero.
just my little history about the mass effect games idont like that much futuristic games but some day i though ok ill play a futuristic game why not and then remember the demo of a game i played on my xbox 360 (which i dont like back then funny huh?) its a unique game specially the dialogue like, Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters i get goosebumps every single time so guys thanks if you read my little tale here 🤣and i love to hear the histories of everyone who played the 3 games and really enjoy it so if anyone want to share i would love it 😉
I just recently finished the trilogy, and it was incredible. The final assault, no Shepard without Vakarian, and I have a home. My Shepard was a paragon through and through, carrying the burden of all the sacrifices made. The crew survived the suicide mission, and when the Reapers attacked he was able to unite the galaxy, despite so many sacrifices. When the time came, despite his love for Tali, he couldn’t let anyone else die in this war, and chose synthesis. His last thoughts were of his true love, Tali’Zorah vas Normandy. I know it’s just a game, but the characters are so real. The Mass Effect Trilogy has been one of my favorite gaming experiences ever.

I wished female Sherpard could romance her. Because I don't want to play as a male just to romance Tali. I guess I don't really love her. But one thing is for certain. She'll always be one of my best friends in the Normandy, right there with Garrus, Joker and Liara.
Theres mods for that, the dialogue is in the files, they clearly planned Bi Tali but it got scrapped sometime after they recorded for it

I have so much probs, to romance Tali or Garrus. Tali is more Sheps little sis and Garrus is more his/her best buddy and i love, that they both get together, if you don't romance one of them. Tali, i'm your bridesmaid and Garrus, if Wrex is not your best man, we have a problem.

Kelly Chambers (the lady on the opposite side of the console by the galaxy map) will say that particular line in ME2 after Tali's recruitment mission and choose "she's a good friend"
