Watching from Australia, I love the atmospheric 'scene setting' shots at 8:24, so well filmed. I've done three heritage railways in UK and bar East Anglia, many main and branch lines, but not this one, so it's on the list. You have the best worldwide preserved railway scene!
Great shots as per usual! 1501 would be my favourite out of the bunch though, and I also hear that its boiler ticket has been extended January 2023 which is good news👍
As it's only February should that be a ""Sprinter" Gala?? No, perhaps not, we don't want anything like that thank you very much😨😨 Great to see locos other than the big boys especially that triple header👍🏻 Has City been a "bad engine", working a goods and a banker!🤣🤣. Excellent as usual Matthew, thank you👍🏻👍🏻
Reminds me of the days when the Watercress Line had a 'Pre-Spring Steam Gala'. I must admit, from my unashamedly biased viewpoint, it was a little disappointing that Wells seemed underused on the day, but that's a preference for preference sake. Thanks very much, Bob!
Growing up in Bury, just off Ainsworth Rd, used to take the train through to Bolton ( went to Thornleigh College ) usually behind a Black 5 or fowler tank. My Wife grew up in Ramsbottom, so train trips from Bolton St to ' Tucks-Arse' were frequent in the early to mid sixties. Happy Days. Now living in Durban SA so nice to see the Old Home Lines, Thank you 😎👍
