    That was such a great demonstration. I will have to watch this several times to really get the technique down in my head. This makes so much more sense that making the pot and the lid separately. I will definitely try this technique. Thank you!

    • @AlchemyCeramic
      @AlchemyCeramic  Рік тому +1

      Thank you for your question Shrihartman.😊 . Trimming Spinner.
      You can buy ready made one on line which is silver looking disk. I use it in the “Double Walled Thermo Cup” video. This red top one I found in the nicknack shop. it was a spinner for spirit drinking game. It has an index finger shape attached originally. It works very well. Take a look of the other video and the size is good for you you can order online and very reasonable price.

  • @keithbuccini4533

    I am assuming these are not fired together as the bottom inside lip looks glazed. Am I correct?

    • @AlchemyCeramic
      @AlchemyCeramic  7 місяців тому

      Thank you for your question Keith😊 The pot and the lid are fired together. I use wax at the joint part and use only not runny glaze.
      The inside of the lip is glazed but the joint part was carefully waxed.
      some people recommend to fire separately. From my experience I prefer to fire together.

    • @keithbuccini4533
      @keithbuccini4533 7 місяців тому

      @@AlchemyCeramic The pot lip does looked glazed but that is excellent that you are able to make sure the lid doesn’t stick to the pot when firing. I know they need to be fired together because you have such a wonderful fit. I like this method and I am going to give it a try.
