- I know you guys love the C7R as much as I do ! Unfortunately it seems that it is the last year that we get to hear that thundering V8... So I decided to make a small compilation of that wonderful american car with the clips from this year 24 hours test day. If you liked the video, feel free to share it with your friends ;)
You can find and follow me on Instagram: / lemansvidz
Enjoy that really loud V8 symphony ! - Авто та транспорт
The Corvette C7R, honestly one of the most epic cars I've had the privilege of experiencing. If you can make it this year, go to Le Mans, stand on that fence, and let it go by once without your earplugs, not that it will matter, that thing will shake your organs, and your heart will pound with excitement. The ground will, quite literally, shake as it rumbles off into the distance at La Sarthe. Such a beast of car, It's a beautiful thing.
Joe Acampora damn man. Thanks for explaining what it feels like to hear that thunder up and close. Only a few v8s left in the series with these tones anymore. I still havent managed to go to one..this is literally my version of "disney" id have to go solo cause the fam dont know about love of automotive. This 4th of july they unveiling the new ford gt. Seriously. Hopefully. Its the voodoo 5.4! Fingers crossed.
The C7R shakes you! It’s difficult to comprehend how loud it is at first
If you ever get to the chance to hit an NHRA drag race...go, but bring ear plugs and muffs...and if you go into the pits when they're warming up..prepare to cry.
I know....Brillant!
I'm gonna miss you C7.R. Such a great sound, and videos don't even do it full justice imo. That car makes the ground shake when it goes by. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. LOVE YOU CORVETTE!
I totally agree with you ! When you hear it coming towards you and your chest starts vibrating, best feeling in the world !
Me too buddy. I love that sound soooo much
LeMansVidz hearin you guys explaining this maan i need to go to next yrs before all v8s are getting replaced by the 6s!
@@mobius-1503 Unfortunately it seems that it was the last time we heard the v8 at Le Mans... :/
LeMansVidz Why are they getting rid of the v8’s?
I love sound of 5.5 liter V8 from the Chevrolet Corvette C7.R.
What an eargasm ! Nothing like this. Other cars scream, The Porsches Shriek, but the Corvettes Growl. It's a beastly sound that makes you litteraly shake down to the bone. It'll be missed after this year's Le Mans race.
Word
The Porsche is.........a loud annoying girl and the vette is a Lion.
Word
The Porsche is.........a loud annoying girl and the vette is a Lion.
But yet the screaming girl have been owning the lion lately.
In the grandstands at LeMans, the Porsche 911s were the only cars that actually hurt your ears. All were brutally loud in the grandstands, but after a while even I had to put a finger in my ear when a group of 911s passed by. A super high frequency shriek as Kalandaari describes.
Porsche is the loudest but that deep low rev V8 is thunderous.
@KiloWhiskey I know....high reving engines deserves so much respect.
Corvette.... Will miss that sound 😔😖😭
Like everyone says, the videos don't do that monster justice. Got to see both running at the GP at Long Beach some years back and holy heck did it leave an ever-lasting impression in my bones! I love that sound and that car. (and Corvette Racing)
Thank you. Was watching C8 vids and was lamenting how I miss the Chevy Thunder of yesteryear. So I searched and found this great video on the C7 (my favorite Vette). - C3 Corvette owner
Thank you for your kind comment ! Glad you liked the video ! I also have an other one covering only the C7R on my channel, check it out ! 😉
C5.R to C7.R were the sexiest race engines ever to scream notes.
I was in Le Mans last week....THE BEST sound !
Oh the irony, I was "Like" number 427! The number of cubic inches the Corvette engine had through 2009. I was at LeMans in 2018, and you could tell when one of the Corvettes was coming before you could see it. FREAKING INCREDIBLE! You felt it in your chest when it roared by. Great video!
One of my favourite sounding cars on the grid, thank you for the video!
Thanks for your comment ! The best sounding car on the grid imho 😉
I attended the 2014 race at Monterey for GTLM and when they fired up this beast my insides shook, and when they went through the corkscrew the ground felt like an mini after shock of an earthquake...Damn I miss this sound of music.
Loud and proud. The American way.
The downshifting( I guess) at the last clip sounds awesome
Those are downshifts indeed! 😉
enjoy a lot coz next year with da new turbo stuff...pschttttttt... LOL... amazing V8 thx for this videos top work thx
Really gonna miss this roaring V8 next year 😩. Great video 👍
Thanks Jared !
LeMansVidz no problem 👍
We will still get to hear the dpi vr every now and then though, that a great noise
Hopefully it wins this one!
qui est la grace a vilebrequin ? ^^
Such a shame this is the last time at Le Mans for this beast and this type of sounding V8 like the old Astons, cause the C8.R sounds nothing like this, even tho sounds good but not like an old V8
anyway c8.r sucks a lot
@@ilre-verendo and here where you are wrong. TBH i love sound of an push rod v8 but the newer one has better performance
@@sabyasachiroy7482 Now that it uses dohc and flat crank it's more like an american ferrari and the sound is shit high pitched, while pushrod and cross plane make it deep and loud the proper american v8.
@@realspeedghxst i know but in racing sound dosen't matter, also they choose function over form so don't expect good sound when trying to gain great performance
@@sabyasachiroy7482 here's the thing: even firing is possible with cross plane (every vette has it) and they could've just stack dohc with a redline at 8000 power and there great sound and big power, buut it's good thing that the street c8 has a pushrod lt2!
Cant wait for the race. Great warmup watching this
The day that all racing modes replace this beautiful song with electrical engines, you can declare that the Sport is dead.
As much as I'll miss it, I can't wait for the new Corvette next year.
first time ive heard that lol
@@joeygold24 Heard what?
Ima miss the c7r. Lets go Corvette!
fast forward 1 year and the new mid- engine corvette sound AMAZING but i sure do miss the roaring sound from the c7
corvettes are sick.. great vid
Thanks mate !!
Le plus beau bruit pour moi.
L'un des plus beau, effectivement !
This and the 911 rsr are the two greatest sounding on the course
My first time at Sebring I was in awe of how awesome the corvettes sounded
Earplugs be dammed !!’ I wanted the full experience and it was delivered !!
911 you say?
Thanks again for this, do like the Corvettes! The Gt40s sound nice too. This is as close to Lemans as I will ever get so please do more as you can, you do the best vids!
Thanks Paul ! I'll do some vids during the race for now 🙂
Quelle pépite cette voiture, merci vilebrequin et merci LeMansVidz pour avoir mis en lumière cette vidéo et cette voiture
Merci à toi pour ce commentaire très sympathique ! Je suis d'avoir pu te faire apprécier le V8 !
24 heures du daytona ! you can recognize a corvette even with close eyes
0:22 I just love its thundering v8 engine down the main straight
Everything shakes ! It's amazing 😍
@@LeMansVidz yep it sure is
Best song ever
I love this car and this sound. I will miss you, Corvette C7R
thundering is a little word!! she's seems to be a beast!!!!
Alter! Sone Gänsepelle bei dem sound! Richtig fett und brachial! Schade, das die Corvette in Le Mans nicht mehr dabei ist....
Now that is a proper racecar. None of that hybrid, turbo bullshit.
Damn.those Crvettes..………….
LT5.5 baby
the best sounding road car ever.Actually have it on my ringtone.Lemans coming up shortly will be sounding different.Love the C7.GO CORVETTE RACING!! Funny vid length is all 3'S.Fan of the 3

Vilebrequin approved
Complètement ! Hâte de voir le 1000tipla !
Those corvettes still sends shivers,fu** e-tron f**k IDR,fu**
mmm ça c'est du bon bruix
Is it too late to attend this years LeMans? I don't have tickets, live in Canada and never been to LeMans? Its always been on my bucket list.
*GOO mate ! It's a lifetime experience ! You will not regret it ! Go now cause it's the last year for the Vette, Porsche and older Aston V8 Vantage.*
It's not too late. You can still buy a ticket at the entry gate but you better buy one during the pre qualy sessions on Wednesday or Thursday. On Saturday there's too much crowed and the wait is long... A few tips:
- On race day if you want to have a nice spot where you can watch the start make sure to arrive at the track before midday 12 o'clock.
- Don't buy food on the track cause it is really really expensive. You can have a beer or french fries if you want but your wallet will not like too many. The advise I've got is to prepare sandwichs and drinks the day before. 3 tram stations away from the track there is a "Carrefour" (Walmart equivalent) where it's much cheaper to get food and beer.
- Toilets are free on the track and maintain clean each hour.
- Must have: a foldable chair, good shoes for walking, A radio for RadioLeMans (you can use a phone and find the right frequency station), *external battery chargers* , hearing protection, a bottle of water, sunglasses, a hat (might get really hot this year). And if you stay the entire night Saturday to Sunday on the track: A warm jacket and a survival blanket (the golden stuff, they're super easy to carry and to fold down, very small, extremely warm).
- For accommodations well good luck... All the hotels are completely full by now. Maybe camping at the official ACO campsite ? I can't really help you there cause I live only 40 miles from the track so I'm lucky to go whenever I want there.
- To get on the track from the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, there is the fast TGV train I think that goes to Le Mans station, it takes about 1H30. Or from Paris, go to the "Montparnasse station" where you can also have the fast TGV or the slow 2H40 but cheap and comfy "TER" regional train. Once you arrive at Le Mans station, look for the orange trams. Direction to the track (and Carrefour shop) is "Antarès - Circuit des 24 Heures". From the station/city center to the track takes about 20-25 mins. Ticket is 1€50 but pick a 10 trips ticket if you think you're gonna do a few travels.
Forget the car, the city is completely jammed up and parking is expensive on the track. Much easier to travel around in the tram.
That's about it. It's all the things I know and I do specially for the night cause I love staying the entire race on the track and it save me tones of money. With all that you may save 300 to 400€.
Best of luck and enjoy :)
@@TobRacer Thanks so much for your help. All the information I need right here.👍👌😊....btw Im going solo and w hotels all full, will they allow me to sleep in my car at the track without a camping ticket?
@@rudfil No problem happy to help !
Unfortunatly the controllers at the official ACO "Beausejour" campsite control every single cars who goes in. So no chance. Really don't get any car nearby the roads around the circuit cause it's impossible to park for free and safely. Police and official security are checking around. And it's badly jammed.
But I may have an idea: You can park for free at the Carrefour shop and as long as you want. Or in the streets around (main street is rue George Durand), I strongly recommend any parking shops. Luckily there is a tram stop not far from each of these parking shops so in 5-10 mins you are at the circuit. The "NOZ" market shop is quiet I think: www.google.fr/maps/place/NOZ/@47.9766411,0.2142349,17z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x47e28ee699692b45:0x325fb772ef1dedc0!8m2!3d47.9762816!4d0.2138612
Good example of a place to park.
@@TobRacer very good ideas. TopRacer..again thanks for your help.
It's not too late. But it will be really hard to find rooming around there. But make sure to check out the city during the weekend... it was crazy as hell

Makes the others sound like Hoover's...
Is it true this car never had a chance last year? Because of its incredible performance, they had to load the car w a ton of ballast to weigh it down to maintain a “fair” BOP?
Not really, the Corvette were doing great during the race, the n°63 (if I remember well) was in the lead group until the crash on Sunday morning because of cold tyres. I think in 2018 the BOP for the Vettes was harsher
This is not built
It's sumonned
No ther GT car can make the ground shake like this beast.
Vilebrequin
Ahaha ! Les fameux loulous qui arrivent sur ma chaîne !
It wasn't that good, it had its moments, but a lot of dry spells, hopefully the C8 will hold up the Corvette banner.
