- This segment provides an introduction to the Quran interpretation approach that we follow for interpreting the story of Yusuf (Joseph). We start with the dream of Joseph. We examine whether or not the dream was correctly interpreted.
We explain the concept of nested interpretation. We rely on the Abrahamic Locution. We explain why this Eid is not an occasion for celebration. Is it Eid Mubarak for Muslims when we have been living a tragedy for 1400 years?

Thank you good sir for having the courage to think and study the Quran. How astonishingly arrogant of us it was to assume we understood. Our willful ignorance is born of complacency. We may be born innocent, but not Muslim. Faith is the struggle of modernity. I thank you for your due diligence in researching and publishing your findings in video format.
The waltenschaun that we have created over the years has been shattered with the revelation that Dr Hany has provided in the series. I agree that it is belief-shattering and very painful to accept. It took me few days to digest the new perspective of some of the talk content. Checked. You are right. Dr Hany. Yusuf's story/ translation in Quran follows exactly what from the corrupted Torah. I think the tafseer itself was written by the enemy of Islam. Muslims have been tricked for many many years. Don't know why no Muslim "scholars" corrected the translation. I thank you for bringing this matter to light and also waiting for more. Distracting people from the true purpose of Quran with things that are of no benefit. The purpose is to worship and get to know Allah through piety, purification and service to humanity.

Allah clearly specifies and distinguishes all components of this religion and what the messengers came with
1. Recite the verses
2. Purification
3. *teaching* the book
4. *teaching* wisdom
If you think that the Quran alone is enough you are infact ignoring the Quran. The Quran says what the messenger came with which not just includes the book but also *teaching* the book, purification, and teaching wisdom. Where are those teachings? Other than the hadith tradition and the Islamic scholarly tradition

Imam Ahmad Ibn Hambal, a Salafi more than any modern day Salafi wannabe, said about books of Tafseers: They are nothing!

By his time there weren't most of the tafsirs of Quran and NO imam Ahmed bin Hanbal is not a modern day salafi at all. He was a gnostic and an embodiment of the way of the companions of the Prophet; ascetic, conscientious of the highest order

And...the 10th word within the 100th verse within the entire 10th chapter, and the whole of the 68th Chapter, and the 96th to 114th verse within the entire 2nd Chapter, and the 11th verse within the entire 13th Chapter....are also very beautiful. SUBUHAN'ALLAH.
AND...the MEANING of the LAST word within the entire 107th Chapter, MAY put MANY to shame...as a rule of THAQDEER.

I was born to "Muslim" family but we did not know much about Islam, since our country is a post-Soviet Union country. I started asking questions as an adult and these days after learning the situation in Palestine I started asking questions why all of this is going on and then I found out in what kind of corrupted time we are living, I saw the hypocrisy that took the whole world, it scared me off and I run to Allah to seek refuge. I can say that the situation in Palestine and Masjid Al Aqsa brought me to Islam and now in my prayers, I asked Allah to put me on the right path. This is the only thing that I ask so often. I don't know Torah and Bible, I read the translation of the Quran with an open heart and good attention, sometimes I read a sentence a few times trying to do not to miss any important points. I just read 6 Chapters from the beginning and 20 Chapters from the end of the Holy Quran. I did not read the rest of the chapters yet, what should I do now? Should I keep reading even though I know that there are misinterpretations?

A very misleading title. Nothing about not celebrating Eid. You must not deceive viewers like that. It makes your entire work as well as your character suspicious.
Read the title again... Did you notice the pronoun "I", and the word "celebrate"? Did you understand the fact that we have been living a tragedy for 1400 years?

As an Arab Muslim this video really made me reflect on how i have been reading the Quran through out my life. I have always wondered and questioned the reason for the word choices and when i read the explanation in the books i feel there is something missing.

Do you think the times/method of Salah is correct? Or has it been corrupted in some way? There is little detail in the Qur'an about Salah. Please make a video on this if you think it appropriate. Jazakallah.

Alhamdulillah, I'm glad others are questioning what has become the "accepted" version of Islam. I have trouble discussing this with any other Muslim I know. But I wonder, If the Jews and Christians corrupted what was sent to them, why do Muslims believe they are above making the same mistake? I think we have. May Allah guide us.

Can you please shed some light on the story of Solomon who died, but it became known only to the jinn as ants ate away at his staff... the story is very confusing for me.

With all due respect sir, so this past 1400 years, the ulama of tafseer have interpreted the Quran wrongly and you have come to correct it?
I’m sorry sir but this new methodology that you came up with, has it been discussed with any ulama from the 4 mazhabs? Have you ever presented this new ‘interpretations’ to the mufassir?
In my honest opinion, this is a big issue and if what you’re saying is true, i’m certain the muslim world will be shook and the scholars will talk and discuss about it without further delay. This issue is not something that can be kept hidden or silent. This involves the faith of nearly 2 billion muslims globally.
And i remember in one of your videos you said that Rasulullah (SAW) is not unlettered (illiterate). Have you ever told this to any of the muslim scholars? If yes, who did you tell it to? And what were their replies? If you haven’t done so, why didn’t you?

So this Quran methodology has been practised by ulama of tafsir for 1400 years, but they were misinterpreted by them. They made mistakes when interpreting. So my question is, have you ever discuss with any ulama regarding this matter? Have you ever told any ulama your new interpretation of the Quran? If so, who did you discuss and tell it to? If you haven’t, why didn’t you?

@@nikhassan6148 i didn’t say we need approval. But shouldn’t the new interpretation be discussed? If discussion is not needed for new interpretations of the Quran, then in the future there will be hundreds and thousands of new interpretations without any accountability. This will, in turn, confuses the ummah as to which interpretations is the true ones.

I am proud to be here and listen deeply to your Tafseer and critical questioning of what Qur'an translators (mufasareen) did. Sometimes it's not easy to understand some versos of the Qur'an ( they are called ''Mutashaabahaat''). and when we stand on the other side, we have to ask ourselves why Allah revealed Qur'an to us? I think is to understand and practice it. in order to understand, the Quran must be easy to understand and clear for everyone, to make excuses out of the way.

He did, and the Quran also did. But for various reasons, his warnings were disappeared, and the Quranic Tafseers hid the true warnings in the Quran.

I have been following your tafsir which I find extremely refreshing, shocking at first. I found your revelation of the true identity of Zulqarnain mind blowing to say the least. I have a question to ask you. Why didn't our beloved Prophet (saw) reveal the true identity of Zulqarnain to his companions (ra)? And why didn't our beloved Prophet (saw) conduct tafsir of the Quran with his companions (ra)?

In the tv show Prophet Yusuf (the Iranian version) the planets that bowed to him were presented as his direct family (Mother, Father and his brothers).

@@MarvelousQuran I appreciate what you are doing but brother...change the title to mean the right thing. So some people interpreted the ayah in surah Yusuf wrong, according to what you think. But it is it such a critical issue? SubhanAllah, sick for 3 weeks. You taught what you taught to the best of your knowledge. People interpreted to the best of their knowledge. To throw away an understanding, I think is not right. In the end the truth behind any ayah and it's meaning rests with Allah, not you or the predecessors. But to throw away what they interpreted and understood, or to down play it entirely, I'm sorry I can't agree with that.
@@MarvelousQuran Also brother I know nothing about Quran. But not once in your interpretation did you say Inshallah this is correct or the Allah knows best. Instead you said others were wrong and were people that interpreted the quran out of arrogance etc. Mashallah. With my basic knowledge of deen I know that is not a good etiquette. They interpreted to the best of their ability, you have done what you can do. So on the day of Judgement let Allah decide who was right. But lets not call the dead wrongly.
What about ayah 36 in surah Yusuf. Was it that guys opinion of his dream?
And ayah43?
Same words is used for the kings dream. Or did they all have opinions?
