I find that jumping diagonally rather than moving diagonally can save a little time, it may be something that needs practice to get right, I have played Crash 1 more times than I probably should have

1:37 and the fact that the PlayStation d pad is buttons, compared this to the sega genesis/ mega drive controller and such.

Actually you can gain some form of speed from the boulders in Crash 1. Have you tried spinning repeatedly, I do it and it works like a charm.

I also noticed that the boulder in Crash 1 goes to a "fixed speed", and its a little faster than you, so if you smash (even a little) with something, you probably die. In crash 2 and 3 however, the boulder goes to a "rubberbanding speed". It goes a little slow if you are close enough (and also if you die a lot), and is faster when you start to run away, so its easier.

I know due to framerate differences; the US versions faster than Crash and The PAL & Japanese version is the same speed as Crash

    N. Sane Trilogy Road to Nowhere can suck a lemon! Freaking crossing the bridge is a pain due to it being so flimsy and kind of being unfair.
Cold Hard Crash, Skull Route is a Bish while getting a hidden Box in the Bonus Room is cheating. Also the Death Route has a Hidden Gem at the end and you have to hit the checkpoint before grabbing it going back and forth and YEAH.
Digging It, Bee-Having. Freaking Bees are the worst!!!
Polar Bear ride level, I honestly do enjoy them, but I do admit to having trouble grabbing Boxes.
    N. Sane Trilogy Rings of Power frustrated me to no end with how wack the controls are as you increase speed! Don't understand why the level has so much hype but more power to those who enjoy the original and this one.
Should I include Wrath of Cortex levels too? Just curious.

100% agree that N. Sane Trilogy's bridge levels are awful. In the original, the hit boxes were larger to land on, and you could easily just run on the ropes to avoid the actual level.
Wrath of Cortex had a lot of problems, too. But it was mostly because the game itself had bad mechanics. The underwater levels were terrible

@@lorddanny2988 Agreed! I don't hate Wrath of Cortex as I do have more fond memories playing it, but I do agree that it isn't put together well. But at least it still played like a Crash Game unlike the games that came after it!

@@lorddanny2988 Caddicarus was an absolute chad who managed to get every platinum relic in the series, he did mention that Wrath of Cortex had one where he had to abuse invincibility frames to walk on air so that he could get a platinum in the Gold Rush level since the monkey bars are painfully slow in Wrath of Cortex. Crash games become so different when trying to get the time trial relics, adding them to Crash 1 in N Sane was a bit of a hiccup since the game was never intended to be rushed through. And then we got Crash 4 with literal hundreds of gems to collect for completion, completionists had a field day with that one

I still haven’t beaten this level. I mean I’ve beaten it but never it and the side scrolling level afterwards.

I play this game in my PS3 and the D-pad of PS3's controller is way better than the original controller, i didn't play this game in PS1 but i used to have the original controller, now i have the joystick model and i think the D-pad of this controller is better than the original model

This is stressful? Boulder Dash is a paradise in comparison to the sky bridge stages.

    • @JargonMadjin
      @JargonMadjin 2 роки тому

Bruh, Slippery Climb blows the bridge stages out of the water. Not even mentioning Stormy Ascent since the original game didn't have it (Unless you had a gameshark)
