What you don't show is that the entire top of the stove can be removed and washed and cleaned in the sink. I used a sealed burner pro stove yesterday at a friend's house, and it doesn't compare to the open flame viking.

Wasn't always a good range. They ended up with quality issues with far too many repair calls. Luckily, they were acquired by Middleby Corp. Since then, the quality has improved and service calls reduced.

I've been researching reviews quite a lot in different platforms and concluded that they're older models are constant getting issues but the newer ones from after acquisition isn't so its safe to say they're quality assurance are having a bottleneck...

Yeah it seems like all the brands have had quality control/repair issues. I’m still leaning toward bluestar for the open burner and being old school with actual gas valves you turn without any stupid computer crap to break.

My 2002 model has been near perfect. Had to have the spark generator replaced after 18 years, but that's the only thing. The open burner design is so much superior to sealed burners. The quality of the new ones seems superior to what I have, though I cannot complain about mine at all. Love it.

I cannot stand this range. I cook every day and it’s is not easy to clean. It is also not nuanced enough for people who cook. Why do we think powerful is important - what are we cooking - entire buffalos?
