Oh yea I think the main branch stopped being developed in favour of a collection called NIH-plug, link is in the description of the github, should be downloadable using the "nightly builds"
Thanks for the great channel. I'm a 65 year old guy from UK who is still making Jungle and D&B.) I've been working with synths since 1975 in hardware and now plugins. I totally agree with you about Zebralatte 3. It's superb! My favourite synth too. U-he stuff is totally wonderful. Great list. Really useful and interesting. Cheers dude.
Airwindows getting some love! Consolidated used to only be available in VCV Rack (digital modular) but i'm super happy they made it accessible for everyone. I use the consoles pretty much every time i mix now, galactic which you showed off is really nice,. i use glitchshifter, starchild and the different amp sims for ambient and bass textures. If you like working with parallell mixing then subsonly is so amazing
That robbert-vdh one that gives your bass texture up high reminds me of distorting a low sine alongside some noise and then high passing it. You can also use tuned samples for it, like sticking some cardboard into a desk fan or spokes of a bicycle, maybe some electrical buzz. would love a video just with tricks like this. Amazing how massive and aggressive even a smooth bass can sound with it, but also mixes nicely with regular noise for something more subtle
thanks for the clarity and informative style. that is pretty cool how you recreated a bluetech track nearly indescribably close to several but none at the same time.
Nice Zebralette patches. I subscribe to the idea that, with freeware software, any 3rd party patch banks for it should also be provided for free. It's cool that you feel differently, just my take. Good top 5.
On what grounds though? Work is still work. Even companies will charge for their own presets on free VSTs. Besides I have free presets available for like Serum, Phase Plant etc, should I overcharge on those? cmon, thanks for watching
Let me guess and see if I get some correct ones. Zebralette 3, Kilohearts free effects, Vital, Supermassive, Youlean loudness meter? I should get 3 of them correct I think.
@@DashGlitch Tried it on Windows 11 in Ableton, crashes the application immediately. Reached out on the KVR thread about the bug, but I will hold off for now
lovely vid ! Are you experimenting more with Psy Bass & Glitch Hop nowadays ? 'Cause i really dig it and it would be nice seeing some vids from you on this :D
For a newbie what drum pad or side roller? or synthesizer Arturia or Apai mk3 or? Like $80-150 ? Does most cool stuff? What to buy? Starting out not rich.
I'd start out with a beginner MIDI keyboard like the arturia microlab or similar, you can trigger drums with the keys and are often much better quality than the MIDI drum pads at a similar price.
reminds me of 20 years lost in sound design discovery... so many of these plugins (not all) and ideas already exist in various combinations of old plugins and daw magic... now i wish i learned how to finish songs, and write/perform instead... seems the real technology and advances i was after was all psycho-cultural. just being honest.
@@DashGlitch Hey nice of you to reply! No forshure, i started poor and i was pillaging evey free source, and not free source and now i know almost every kind of synthesis, company and plugin design flow out there.. not to mention a ton of daw and recording techniques, restoration and mixing and mastering (like a god these days may i say) but really what i now know i really wanted was to be an artist with the ability to transcend culture and psychology. I didnt know how important network effects and penetrating the human soul was to me until now. I would trade mastering for that anyday. Being the message and image Its a hard earned science that requires maximum bravery and sensitivity. But you know i can develope artists quite well and have had serious successes... i am greatful... just wish i could rock out with my all... like TV girl, or toro y moi, or even noisia and skrillex. thanks for your time. Love the free plugin reviews.. saves me a TON of digging and testing! keeps me in the LOOP!
@@DashGlitch i think youll really like it. you can draw in envelopes for a lot of stuff like wet/dry and it has in box scale snapping with a good amount of modes available. interesting inclusions on an effect box.
Oh sorry I forgot to mention, by default it's only showing a "favourites" collection, you can use the menu to choose "display all plugins" and it should show the entire list
Vital entered the chat :P but yea Serum is fantastic, I still do lots of content on it even though it's over a decade old, not many commercial products have that legacy
Crisp and diopser are not vst? they sound useful but i don't know how to install them.

Yep, just double checked and got it there, gonna pin this comment if you don't mind - in case others have the same.
@@DashGlitch I found it after a while. Thank you anyway for the help because it was a little confusing so others might be helped from this.

It needs oversampling feature with option to it be only on render. My PC too weak to work higher hz
@@bixenterIf you want, hit up Chris and let him know. He just might be willing to do that, he's very receptive.
Just about Zebralette, that's the stuff I need to inspire my sound designs. Brilliant.
love airwindows consolidated GUI and storytelling and the doggie too
totally!
Dude, the zebralette patches are insane!!!!! Top job!
Thanks a ton!
Airwindows Consolidate is freakin awesome!!!, Thanks for that
enjoy :)
Airwindows is rad. Guitar conditioner and nc-17 are amazing
Absolutely, thanks I will check those ones out! There so many it's hard to keep track :)
@DashGlitch no problem so so so many, lol. Nc-17 makes stuff louder. venus theory turned me on to it

Try using some of the air windows plugins. You’ll be surprised 😮

Great, I love Bluetech :)
Bro that glitch hop track sounds so siick
Thank you!
2.53 sounds very good
thanks for finally getting me to make a rm-noise preset instead of setting it up anew everytime lol

@@DashGlitch Haha, then my guesses was really bad. 😅 It will be Interesting to see the result soon.
Sweet! Thanks!
No problem!
Amazing.
I'm patiently waiting for Zebralette 3 to release. Zebra3 is gonna be hella powerful if Zebralette is like this already
i's already ou for public download :)
@@DashGlitch meant the full release but you do bring up a good point!

Yes I am, I go through stages to keep things fresh :)
Bro that beat when kikd in is dope af, got some aphex vibes in there
Thanks!
wow audiotool mention, i started in that daw. cool
unique quality content as usual
Thanks!
What samples your adjusting ?
Most of the examples of the plugins were done on Zebralette 3 or Vital synth
2:50... As a dubstep guy, was sold instantly 😅
Nice :)
Wow sounds. Krishna is good too
5:55 Def some Crystal Method vibes :)
Thanks!

Were they free and thus accessible to everybody though? not really. But also Zebralette 3 is pretty groundbreaking as far as synthesis technology

I’m so glad that they kicked Christian Henson out of Spitfire.
What did you put on the video’s master audio to make it so wide?
Oh no my headphones are fucked up lol
Totally, he was a disaster. Was about to say 100 instances of Wider :D
another super cool plugin thats free until the next version is influx. its way beyond what i expected from a free vst.
will check it out, thanks!

Any inside scoop on when Zebra 3 will come out of hiding?
Thanks for sharing Airwindows Consolidated! Any idea why mine has like twice less plugins inside than yours? I don't have Infinity, for example..
Oh sorry I forgot to mention, by default it's only showing a "favourites" collection, you can use the menu to choose "display all plugins" and it should show the entire list
I've found the reason - you should switch to All plugins instead of Recommended in plugin options
Still think Serum is worth every penny you get an fx rack with tons to play with too it’s just better value and quality for your money

oh cool, shaper is free now
It was always, maybe you're thinking of ShaperTable which is the more advanced one - that's a paid plugin
