I enjoy the wise comments that Dixie provides in the videos of her hikes, the natural teacher in her. So, I was surprised at how quietly perfect this video is. When the surroundings are so stunning, varied, and beautiful they can speak for themsleves.
If you don’t have anything to say this would be okay. But Dixie is just one of the very few exceptions with clever comments and sharp observations. That’s what makes her interesting. So this is a disappointment of course.
Two of the reasons I enjoy your videos so much are your outlook on life, and your inquisitive, natural eye for nature both big and small. Thank you for sharing your journeys with us.
You have given new meaning to the saying” a picture is worth a thousand words” . I do love your ongoing commentary you have the ability to deliver while walking , talking and filming. But this offering showcases your skills in videography, editing and content. Really, really enjoyable . My new cat Larry even paused for a moment to look over my shoulder at the moose’s. To get this one year olds attention is quite an accomplishment. Thankyou.
But...it looks like your pa k is swinging hard across your back and I worry that on those steep paths the imbalence May pull you over the trail and roll you down. Do be careful and strap on tight.
Such stunning scenery. The quiet,so relaxing. I like taking pictures I could see me stopping all the time to snap a pic. I swear your walking the world Dixie!
Wow! That video was stunning! As much as I like to hear your observations and banter, this one made me feel like I was right there with ya. Great video!
My Mother(95) has been in the hospital for a week with covid. Can't call, can't visit. We all needed this. Thank you for the special way of just views. Amazing how the internet sometimes just gives us what we need, just when we need it. Love to Dixie
@Eastern fence Lizard Thank you very much. The nurses there are getting worn to the bone. Every room is full, and I still know people who won't take the shot. "I"M an AMERICAN no one tells me what to do. Man o Man
This is just about the coolest hiking video EVER. Bold to do it with no narration. AWESOME to do it with no narration so it feels like I am right there. Great freaking video Dixie. You are now an official heroine. I don't save UA-cam hiking videos....I WILL save this one so I have it any time I get the itch for the wild country. Thank you x one billion. You rock!!!
I love all of your videos Dixie, the tutorials, the chronicles and this one of raw hiking. The scenery and videography was amazing and relaxing. For me anyways! Thanks for sharing.
Love the sounds of the hike, especially the crunch as you walk. Too many utubers cover these sounds with music. Enjoy the music of your walk. Thank you.
Thank you. A little bit different from previous trails. I will be watching this one multiple times. It reboots the brain. Pretty spectacular trail maintenance. You’ve whetted my appetite !!🦋
This was different but really enjoyed it. The scenery speaks for itself. If someone is not a solo hiker, you can get a real feel for the sounds of nature and sound of silence by watching this.
The raw footage is so great thank you, please do more if you can Dixie! When I'm not out hiking, I can use videos like this as a substitute and it just makes me feel so relaxed
Thank you for posting this. I have been feeling an incredible amount of anxiety the last few days. The hiking with nature sounds and the subtle rhythm of your footsteps helped me find some relief. It’s one I will come back to and watch again.
Absolutely stunning! Thanks Dixie. I enjoy the hiking only video's as much as your others. It's as though you are taking all of us along with you. It might be just a tad higher than the 272' at the highest point on the FL Trail. :)
Any time you see trail maintenance crews out there take the time to thank them for making your hike a rewarding experience. Most crews do this as a volunteer at their own expense.
Yay, thank you! I'm guessing two or three thousands and thousands of folks like this kind of video. Documentary style is so great even if there is light day to day commentary but specifically without any speech is cool too. Couldn't be more immersive! Love it, thanks.
These kinds of videos really give a good impression of what it's like to walk through the wilderness. As far as I'm concerned, videos like this are more welcome
I was in the Tetans in June. I was so mesmerized by their beauty. Thanks for sharing such amazing videos. I can’t wait to go back and spend more time in this amazing place.
Thank you for taking me on a hike to a place I have never been! The video footage and images were awesome. You gave me some ideas to incorporate in my videos. I live here in the San Juan mountains of Colorado and didn't have a chance to get out this week so this video was a real treat. You made it more real without any music. Your camera work was perfect!
Spectacular scenery. How very different it must have been from Alabama days and nights. Different, and yet familiar, being as how you've been out West before. Excellent videography. The sounds of your footfalls were all the music necessary. Happy Trails.
Beautiful footage, Dixie! I agree with the others when they speak of how they love the serenity of the quiet footage with just the sound of the wind, or the streams, or your footsteps, but I have to say that I miss your voice! I truly enjoy your commentary; your thoughts of the trail, the area, and of life in general. There have been many, many times that what you have said has made me laugh, or touched my heart, or helped me to gain a greater appreciation for life by reminding me how wonderful this life really is. Thank you for the beautiful shots of the butterflies, the beautiful flowers and undergrowth, the "peek-a-boo critters" and all the great bugs out there! All creatures, great and small--I love them all (as you do)! May God always watch over you and keep you safe and happy! :)
This was such an interesting video Dixie! It was so neat to see what you saw and hear what you heard and NOTHING else. Not that I don't love to hear you talking and the beautiful music you put to your hikes - but this was really neat and enjoyable too! In it's own beautiful quiet way. I loved hearing the wind blow through the canyon and the water falls - and how quiet it was at one point with just the sound of your footsteps. And when you stopped - and there was silence. Wow. Loved the whole video.
I appreciate that Dixie is enamored by the beauty of nature and wants to share this with us. We can all experience this awesome wonder with Dixie as our guide. You go GURL!
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing your adventure with all of us. The running water, the gorgeous flowers, the mountains and the crunching of the trail under your hiking shoes.....awesome. Thank you Dixie. ❤
Dixie you make adventure look so easy. I’ve been following you for years and snow on the ridges and fire have paused my curiosity; then you post another home run. Great audio. Great sites.
Happy hiking Dixie. I'm getting ready to hike the pinhoti with my 2 daughters-in-law this November. I've been looking over the trail guide, while watching your pinhoti videos. Seeing if I can figure out my resupply points and picking out some landmarks to look for. Ty for all you do. The entertainment is always on point and the information is top notch!
I hiked the teton crest trail last August, it was really cool to revisit a few of those locations through your video! Hope you had a great hike there as well!
It always amaze me that Dixie can stop and a critter will just poke its head out, as if to say hi. That's some Disney princess power. ✨
Lol my great uncle wrote that song
The force is powerful in that one
I enjoy the wise comments that Dixie provides in the videos of her hikes, the natural teacher in her. So, I was surprised at how quietly perfect this video is. When the surroundings are so stunning, varied, and beautiful they can speak for themsleves.
I agree... It was weird not hearing "Hey yall, Dixie here". The nature only video was great. Keep up the good work and entertaining variety.
If you don’t have anything to say this would be okay. But Dixie is just one of the very few exceptions with clever comments and sharp observations. That’s what makes her interesting. So this is a disappointment of course.
I love the raw footage! The peace and quiet of it is almost like walking it yourself! I'd love to see more like this!
Two of the reasons I enjoy your videos so much are your outlook on life, and your inquisitive, natural eye for nature both big and small. Thank you for sharing your journeys with us.
This video made me feel calm in a way I haven't felt in months (years?). Thank you for showcasing such beautiful, peaceful scenery!
Within the first minute, I was reminded of the first verse of an old Keith Whitley song; When You Say Nothing At All. This was simply beautiful!

Yes, more raw footage like this would be great! Thank you!!
You have given new meaning to the saying” a picture is worth a thousand words” . I do love your ongoing commentary you have the ability to deliver while walking , talking and filming. Oh, Dixie! These hikes on the Tetons are absolutely the most beautiful and magnificent you have done! Thank you so much for sharing them with us!
But...it looks like your pa k is swinging hard across your back and I worry that on those steep paths the imbalence May pull you over the trail and roll you down. Do be careful and strap on tight.
We’ll you nailed it for a relaxing Sunday afternoon watch! Thank you Dixie!✌️
Such stunning scenery. The quiet,so relaxing. I like taking pictures I could see me stopping all the time to snap a pic. I swear your walking the world Dixie!
As much as I enjoy listening to you talk, Dixie, this was really nice. I hope you do more of these from time to time.
love the raw footage of the Grand Teton national park abousutly beautiful no words spoken just showing the natural beauty of nature
Yes! I love raw hiking footage! Thank you for sharing, Dixie! Love the Tetons so much.
Wonderful way to end the weekend. No narration needed. The images speak for themselves.
Breathtaking. Thankyou. I feel like I'm walking in that beautiful place. The ambient sounds are so lovely.
@Eastern fence Lizard My Mother uses hearing aids, When she was rushed to the hospital we didn't think to throw them in the ambulance.
@Eastern fence Lizard Thank you very much. The nurses there are getting worn to the bone. Every room is full, and I still know people who won't take the shot. "I"M an AMERICAN no one tells me what to do. Man o Man
Your cinematography is every bit as good or better than what's on TV!
Watching Homemade Wanderlust adventures on a big screen brings the scenic views into the room. More, please.
This is just about the coolest hiking video EVER. Bold to do it with no narration. AWESOME to do it with no narration so it feels like I am right there. Great freaking video Dixie. Lovely, Dixie, just lovely. No music and no talking made me almost feel like I was there hiking too! What magnificent country.
Great video Dixie. Love the Tetons and how you filmed this. A lot of extra work which is much appreciated. Thank You.
Best video of yours to date! That's saying a lot, considering I've watched your CDT vids dozens of times.
This is like an Erik Normark video. Beautiful scenery!
Wow. What a beautiful place you've taken us all through. Thank you.
Thanks for this one, One of your best I reckon. I really appreciate the quiet videos with little or no music so we can "hear" the outdoors.
I LOVE IT - simplicity and it's very much like what Kraig Adams does ...
It is Gorgeous out there. Thank you so much Dixie for sharing such beauty with the world. Stay safe. 😘🙏🏻😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
I'm in complete awe of this hike. That scenery is insane! ❤️ Thank you for sharing it with us.
I think this was your best video yet for incredible beauty but far more entertaining when you're narrating the video.
The sights and sounds gave this video an ASMR quality. I love your normal format but this was a refreshing change.
I mean this trip must be expensive, you left so many cameras behind you... love from Croatia.
I'd like to see the outtakes of her walking back to go pick up the camera.
Thank you for posting this. I have been feeling an incredible amount of anxiety the last few days. The hiking with nature sounds and the subtle rhythm of your footsteps helped me find some relief. It’s one I will come back to and watch again.

My thanks to the people who made and maintain that beautiful trail. Thanks to Dixie too.

Silence speaks volumes. Absolutely breathtaking.
Absolutely beautiful, Thanks Jessica
I love this format! Perfect for exercising on a stair stepper.
Yay, thank you! I'm guessing two or three thousands and thousands of folks like this kind of video. Documentary style is so great even if there is light day to day commentary but specifically without any speech is cool too. Couldn't be more immersive! Love it, thanks.
Love the just hiking angle! Just the relaxing dose of nature that I needed today :-)
Great effort went into recording all this! Especially up passes. Thanks!
Have been going there for 60 years. Love this place. 😊💖🐶🐶
I really like that it is posted with just the sounds of being there. Nice!
Thank you for this. So many of us love coming here for your wisdom & experiences but this was a wonderfully unexpected respite. 🙏🏻❤️
Stunning at every turn. Thank you.

Gorgeous terrain! Thx for taking us along!
The mountains are the type I imagine only exist in an artist's mind, but there they are, glorious!
Peaceful, Relaxing, Beautiful
WOW, Dixie. Your cinematography has improved exponentially (not that is was ever bad). These views are spectacular. Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous country. Loved hearing the rivers & waterfalls. Refreshing to not have music.
Thank you for taking me on a hike to a place I have never been! The video footage and images were awesome. You gave me some ideas to incorporate in my videos. Very quiet, but the scenery kept me watching. Beautiful.
That is pretty powerful, Dixie! That's about as close as you can get. Thank you. Amazing...
One day, one day,,,,,,, That’ll be me there!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the scenery and thank you for sharing this. 💕💕💕
So excited. Wondering what amazing little creatures Dixie will have filmed for us, and where Aaron will hide the logo. SO much to look forward to!!!!
Spectacular scenery. How very different it must have been from Alabama days and nights. Different, and yet familiar, being as how you've been out West before. Excellent videography. The sounds of your footfalls were all the music necessary. Happy Trails.
Absolutely wonderful. Thank you very much for your time and effort making this video.

This style of video is a really nice variation and relaxing to watch. Please continue to release a few of these mixed into your normal content.

Love to hear your commentary (with a little drawl;) however, this is one of my favorite videos you've posted. Thanks
Awesome scenery! Doesn’t get any better than that!!
The views in the video warmed my soul so much. Thank you for the show!
Nice hike. Thanks for sharing.

That was so calming to watch, and amazing views, thanks!
Loved just hearing foot steps and the sounds of Nature. As if I was hiking the trail myself. Wonderful video!!
Awesome 👍 Love the quiet with no talk or music. Just like being there. Do like your instructional videos also. Thanks!
Peaceful and serene. Thanks for taking us on your journey

This video had a profound calming effect on me. As always, very well captured and edited. Absolutely stunning!
Dixie you make adventure look so easy. I’ve been following you for years and snow on the ridges and fire have paused my curiosity; then you post another home run. Great audio. Great sites.
Thank you for more Grand Teton footage. I miss it so much.
I would love more videos like this
So beautiful, I can't wait to go in 2024!
Peaceful and beautiful hiking.
Beautiful. Really good job framing these shots
The miles must fly by with that type of scenery and serenity.
I’ve been following you since your AT days. This is one of your best vids. Thanks!
Great video. Thank you.
I love the Just Hiking videos, would love to see more!
Footage was incredible!! Thanks for sharing
The entertainment is always on point and the information is top notch!
yes, love the raw footage! Nature doesn't come with a soundtrack...
Thank you for the amazing and beautiful scenery 👋
Yes, would love to see more raw hiking footage!
Appreciate the high quality visuals. After working nine days, this was the perfect way to unwind.
Thanks for taking me with you ♥️
I hiked the teton crest trail last August, it was really cool to revisit a few of those locations through your video! Hope you had a great hike there as well!
Bellissimo. Sometimes words (actually often) can't do justice.
I like so much the pace you walk to.
Thank you very much for this beautiful footage.
Hike on!!!
Absolutely stunning!
