I think I’ve figured it out, I’ve got The Frame working again with my Apple TV! First, go into your Samsung TV settings, Input Device Manager- and TURN OFF Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC). Then, go into your Apple TV 4K, go into Settings>Remotes and Devices>Home Cinema Control-and for the Option that reads ‘Turn On Your TV With Your Remote’- Select ‘ON’ Exit Settings and press and hold the power button of your Apple TV, and you’ll find that brings the Samsung The Frame TV back to Art Mode, and turns off your Apple TV.
@@janr76 Glad it helped! To be clear, there's still an issue when you leave the Apple TV on standby and the Apple TV powers off, but if you use the power button on the Apple TV remote to turn on and off, it works now as we want it to, going straight back to 'Art Mode'
@@timdlrI have a 2020 65” frame tv n just bought the 128gb atv 4K n it doesn’t work for me…is there a specific chemo input I have to use? Can u somehow also have a receiver connected via hdmi port work for the audio?
@@SamerMatti If you’ve got a receiver that you want the audio to come out from, then I’d simply plug the ATV into one of the receiver’s inputs and use the Samsung frame as a display only. The limitation is that because of Samsung’s current software issues, the frame’s own smart apps will not output audio to your receiver, but play locally on the TV only. In this configuration I’ve suggested, the ATV will be your main driver, and the Samsung frame would just serve as a display.
Samsung has really dropped the ball on this one, and they keep blaming Apple and external devices when it's clearly their firmware update that's bricked it. I had the same issue with a 55in 2022 FRAME TV.
It’s such a shame, isn’t it. I forgive the other compromises because it’s such a great idea - but to kill off an easy return to Art mode is the pits. I imagine some art kid came up with the original idea, Samsung ran with if for a bit , and then either some nerd yahoo did a bad job of the latest update; or alternatively, Samsung want to reinforce their own branding. This is why we can’t have nice things 😂. Thanks for stopping by. Maybe someone with bigger reach like Linus Tech Tips can pick up the story and advocate…
Annoyingly my issues seem to have come back since I introduced the Samsung Soundbar on HDMI ARC. Samsung SB801 designed to be combined with the frame. I am still having the issue of the TV turning off completely.
So frustrating! Come on Samsung. If anyone has a fix, please let us know.

New firmware is availbale 1602.3 but seems that some bugs are remaining! Have you test?
Hello, how are you? I currently use Apple TV 4K and I wanted to buy the Samsung Frame. Has the problem with art mode been solved?
Same problem here. So angry about this. I will gladly join the class action suit if there isn’t a fix soon…
