That’s what we need we’ve had the fast turn around coaches that came in won fast and then went down hill this has to be a rebuild from the inside out and that’s what he’s doing idk if he’ll make it or not but I do agree with his way of doing it for the most part some things I’m not on board with but if nothing else he’s putting the team in better position then we he got here

It doesn’t really matter how good or bad this season goes CBN is going to get a ton of hate from our fans because of the way he is building this program! I personally like what he is doing I can see he wants to build this for long term success, which is exactly what the Florida Gators!! Go Gators 🐊
He filled all the needs i believed we needed through the tranfer portal. We got help at reciever, Oline, and secondary. I think Florida will surprise people this year.
I gotta tell ya, i really believe in Billy Napier. He transformed Graham Mertz into one of the Nations best. The offensive efficiency is insane. The W-L record from last year doesnt tell the story. The problem has been the incompetent defense that Mullen left just as Tenn UK Mizzou and FSU offenses exploded. If we give Billy time, i really think the gators can be a machine.

Coach Napier is doing a great job at rebuilding our football program! Coach Billy is the next great upcoming coach and will uphold a standard in college football to develop the character of the young men on the team. Go Gators 🐊
I'm a super die hard Gator fan have it tattooed on me in two different places but I don't know if that's true because Billy Napier can't seem to let anybody help him he thinks he has to call all his own plays I don't understand why he will not hire an offensive coordinator to help him call plays he is not the best at Calling plays he's actually looking pretty pathetic at calling playset
@jessenibley8878 because he doesn't trust just anyone to run the offense. Not enough people can be as methodical as him, and until he can show someone exactly how his offense should run- I doubt he will. This is the first tear he will have competitive talent to other sec schools. Let's be patient and see what happens with the new recruits when they are developed.

Both him and Napier were and are good coaches at lower FBS but anything higher is just hogwash. Josh Pate is a moron. He didn't ask any tough questions. What he should have asked is. The Florida fan base is on edge and are turning against you coach, what have you done to fix the coaching blunders? What have you done to fix the team discipline,penalties, special teams, play calling and clock management?
By far the best interview I’ve watched of Napier.. He seems like he is confident at the helm, instead of just treading water.. I still struggle with the lip smacking.. but that’s my problem..

Really awesome interview; you can tell Billy has stayed focus on what he believes in…building a program we can be proud of and the student athletes, who let’s be honest are still kids, will be proud to represent. With the NIL and new expanded playoff structure he is in a good position to make a system that is successful in this new era of CF.

I'm keeping the faith in coach Napier, at least through this year. And I'm not asking for a lot. I'd be happy with a 7-5.record this year, especially given the brutal schedule. 8 and 5 with a bowl win would be a damn good year for us at this point. Go Gators!!!!

Seeing the new facilities that Florida has built is incredible. They needed the extra space, can't have the tight confines of the swamp as your only space to work with anymore, the new heavener facility is what every respectable team is built off these days, and even though it's not directly football related, the reitz union building is top notch.

But , to quote you from this interview..."It's ultimately going to be decided on the field in the fall." It's really crucial that you win Game One vs Miami. Without wins, PMA erodes fast.

We went to the Spring game and they looked really good! I'm an FSU fan but I know what I saw. Everything here Billy is saying I believe him and I hope to see a good 10 years of back-and-forth rivalry between him and Mike Norvell

The play calling has never been the issue. Player upgrades and getting back to defensive fundamentals!!!!
This... I've been in knock down drag out arguments about the playcalling not being the real issue. It's personnel, you can't expect a nascar to perform like an f1 car in an f1 race. He can only call plays that the players in the moment can execute well.
I think it was a great decision moving on from Bateman, Spence, and Raymond. I think there were coaching issues with those 3. Yes Raymond can recruit but it’s more than that.
I’m not a Gator but I root for Napier and think they are being super slept on by some. Watch out for week-3, I think they beat aTm.
Raymond had issues taking orders from 30 yr old DCs. I would’ve too!!

As a gator fan, I’m kind of disgusted by how he responded to your special teams question claiming it was a non-issue.
I got them 6-6 or 7-5… the toughest schedule in college football, I would be content with that record but fans probably won’t

I would still say 6-6 is disappointing for a coaches third year but his schedules have gotten tougher every season. I would say Napier needs a 7 win seed for the fans to be happy. 100% shouldn’t be fired after this season unless Florida ends up 4-8 or if they go 5-7 or 6-6 and just don’t compete or care in some games. Floridas problem has always been the locker room so if Napier can’t fix that he has to go.

There still lacking top talent everywhere but I really can’t see 4-8 especially when injuries start happening late in the season with how much depth Florida has. 7-5 or 6-6

I think Napier is a freaking genius. Never has a guy with such limited ability and intelligence convinced another to pay him so much. Without incredible luck this guy is a middle school PE Coach but he tricked Stricklen to pay him $51 million. Hats off to you Billy, your certainly doing better than most everyone else despite the fact that you have no more ability than a dude chosen at random off the street.

I like Coach. But the one thing I can't agree with is him calling plays. He just doesn't seem to have a good grasp on in game play calling awareness. I hope he proves me wrong this year

I don't want him fired but I was never sold on him getting a 2nd contract with Fl. I think he should stay while we quietly start perusing the landscape after year 4. Too many coaches have come and gone for any great coach to be willing to risk reputation to take the job now.
I like Armstrong (energy is what fl is about) i do think he had some personal working against him which lead to some bad things on the field hopefully those have been rectified with new staff.. not finished but have to get going on another project

It’s been 40 years since yall won, that’s great yall finally won, it took Kirby what two three years before he finally won? Nap is in his third year with the toughest schedule ever, all the right pieces are there, one more year he’ll have everything he needs and experience on the roster, so we’ll see, Gators are trending in the right direction.
Most of us hate FSU more. But with all of these UGA fans acting on top of the world after an EXCEPTIONAL 1st natty season followed by a fluke, it gets old. We just went through the Richt stage with Mullen. We’ll see how it plays out

Josh Pate at some point in this interview is going to tell people to watch out for the Gators and how great of a coach that SunBeltBilly is and he still thinks the Gators made the right hire.
