Good morning, Tim, I really appreciate your review. We are looking at purchasing a "power station" for the property. And not to run the house completely but to cover the dropouts and keep the NBN & computers running. We had attended Farmfest yesterday to review a few but they were noticeable few suppliers there. Thanks for all the effort you go through to make the reviews. Cheers
Morning Tim, another great informative video. As to your question about a portable power box that has solar in the box straight out of the box have a look at the Australian made Redarc with their great solar blankets. Because they are Australian made they are a little more costly but really good.
Great review👍 So, if I go with two MPPT modules, I can get up to 800W of solar input. That's really impressive.
100% needs an Anderson output plug. Even just 1 would be awesome.
The 140W USB-C fast charging feature is pretty awesome. Finally, I can quickly charge my MacBook without needing that bulky adapter.
Enjoyed~ you made amzaing , bye,
Lithium iron vs lithium iron phosphate
Lithium iron has almost 50% more the energy density of lithium phosphate mate
Theres a reason we use them in small portable devices like phones/laptops
The high end EVs most likely will also use lithium iron
Theres lots of pros n cons between the two but yeh just so ya know
No no no Tim, stop doing reviews of things I didn't know I couldn't live without. Guess I'm lucky you don't sell used cars
I think Bluetti & Ecoflow might be a better unit then this Gen1 DJi
Honestly, this DJI power is ideal for fast-charging my drone, and it's also very quiet - a better fit for me.
Or you could just buy a 100 amp lithium battery with a 2000w inverter and get 20 times the power for the same price!
That’s not how physics works 🤨.
Thanks Tim
I run a simillar unit (Blueti) for my camper and can say these will be a real challenger to the traditional 12v setup many 4WD guys run. No more dual batteries, fuse panels, dodgy DIY 100amp wiring etc. When I get to my campsite I have all the power I need and if I get low I can either go solar, recharge from the cigarette lighter while driving the next day or always find a 240 outlet at the back of a servo or even Macca's if I am feeling cheeky.
