Yes. She needs to let it out. After Crisis, she needs to talk to Lena and not spare the anger and frustration. Lena is justified in being hurt, but she’s being a bit of a primadonna right now. Damn, Kara is your best friend and soulmate. There’s been so much more to it than her hiding part of her identity. And you’ve been less than perfectly honest, babe. Hopefully Lena will be receptive.

Everyone talks about Lena and all the betrayal that has been in her life. I think if Supergirl would've been honest about her own struggles with her past with Lena they wouldn't have gotten so off course. The biggest betrayal wasn't Kara keeping her identity a secret, which was literally bs because everyone but Lena knew her true identity. It was mainly distrusting as Supergirl, sending James to find out if she had more Kryptonite instead of trusting her. That in my opinion was definitely treating your best friend as a villain. But the icing on the cake is listening to her rag on Supergirl and pretending to be on her side. That's unacceptable. How do you recover from your biggest heartbreak? Neither women had this level of a familial type of friendship. Both had recently tragically lost the love of their lives. I think tv land makes people spoiled. They are so used to everything being worked out in an episode or two. Lena using Kara after being hurt by Kara's betrayal. All of it is going to take time to heal. You can't put a time stamp on grieving.
After all that she's lost, she's still standing strong. From losing home, her parents, and her all the closest people to her, she never lost hope, and that's why she is 100% the Paragon of Hope.

This Crisis, as if the Paragon of Hope hasn't lost enough, the last place left, where her loved ones are...taken. Kara needs a break. I don't know if anyone else noticed what the writers have done the previous seasons, but we've never seen Kara fall apart and show those tears that she's needed to for years, for more than that. So now, Season 5, she's suffering EVEN more! Do the writers want to punish her character that much? Melissa did such a brave thing when she shared her own trials. She is a bigger Supergirl than even Kara Danvers. What Kara said to Kate, when they drank together, still moves me with that simple scene. You don't need powers or time travel to be a hero. There is more to it I just can't think of the rest right now. But continue these paintings for us. Inspiration through that emotion is more precious than anything. Stand up for Kara and furthermore, stand up and support Melissa. Also, do that for Chyler too because I feel that Melissa gave her the hope and courage to tell the world about her trials too. This is incredible! Once again you blew me away. Stellar job showing Kara's journey so far and portraying her vulnerability in times of despair and loss yet in the midst of it all, there's hope. Kara is the perfect person to be chosen as the Paragon of Hope because out of everyone, she's the one who always clings onto hope and she never gives up even when things seem hopeless and impossible. She's been through so much and it kills me that she's lost both of her planets again and mostly everyone she loves. But she'll find a way to bring them back somehow. And lastly, I love the dynamic and friendship that is blossoming between Kara and Kate too. I think it's fascinating and I love that Kate has Kara's back and vice versa. Can't wait for the continuation of Crisis! I'm on pins and needles. I want Kara to drop kick Lex or throw him into the deepest ends of the galaxy (even though I love to hate his character) 😂

It's why I love Season 1 so much and anything to do with Kara & Alex and Kara & Lena as we get to see compelling and moving scenes in such a raw and honest way. It's like whenever Melissa share scenes with Chyler and Katie, she takes her acting performance to another level and truly shines when working with them and vice versa.

Strange thing about Kara is that I know physically she's strong and nearly invulnerable, but yet, I still feel the need to protect her from all the evils of the world. Despite being a superheroine, she has this innocence that you want to keep intact.

Hearing her talk about how she could never let what happened to Krypton, happen to Earth really drives home how big of a loss she's really suffered. I am in awe of her inner strength. She is truly the hero we need now. Kara has shown us how to have hope while facing adversity and how to be optimistic in times of hardship. Melissa embodies this as well. She truly is Supergirl. Both of them inspire me so much! They have taught me that I can do and overcome hard things too.

I got chills while watching this. You did so great on this one just *chefs kiss* it was amazing! I honestly love the scenes where she shows that she isn't just goodness and light and virtue, I like her anger, her pain, her frustration, her dark side. Ok so when they were looking for the paragon of truth, they said a kryptonian who has lost more than any human can endure and they found that one Superman right. So obviously now lex took Superman’s spot and idk how that affects that paragon position. But also like why can’t Kara be 2 paragons now, of Hope and truth...bc she also just lost her mom and everyone again, even her cousin and has been through so much pain... so maybe we won’t get screwed by lex replacing Superman bc Kara is also kryptonian and qualifies for paragon of truth.

I think with the loss of her Earth and the loss of Alex and all of the people closest to her, she’ll summon the immense will that is required to bring them back. After all she has absolutely nothing else to lose now.
But also like. Lex Luthor, human, has been using the book just fine. I understand that its a big job to bring back the muiltverse, but together they have to be something. You don't make Paragons just to watch all the worlds end. Maybe her hope will be the glue to keep them all together and make them realize that they need to use the book.
Kara means so much to me and you highlighted why. This video is so good. I love every glimpse the show gives into the complexity of Kara's character. She's suffered but she's still good. She's lost so much but still has hope, still keeps going. I identify with her a lot. I wish she got to be angry more.
That was beautiful. Great job on the editing. One of the issues I have with the current crisis and this season, is Kara holding back her feelings. Yes she cried. But that anger she had in season 1. The hurt inside her. Especially with all that's happened to her. She is going to snap and I fear for anyone who stands in her way when it happens.

Every season, Kara keeps suffering. Barry and Oliver has a sense of peace. Kara has every reason to go evil. Just when she can have peace or hope it gets snatch away. I am surprise Kara didn't snap yet.
I don't believe in destiny but there is little doubt in my mind Melissa Benoist was born to play supergirl Kara and Melissa are both women of steel and both deserved to be paragons (though melissa would be a paragon of courage)
Oh, and addendum; I did watch it, and I loved the episode, especially where Kate warns, or seems to warn, Kara away from using what amounts to a magic book to bring back the material universe. That was a nice-quality touch. Kara pretty clearly has PTSD issues about abandonment; that much is certain. And you encapsulated it, as did they: that's what a friend or buddy does: stands up to someone when they are engaged in doing something suicidally stupid or in any way unethical, no matter what. In fact, the amazing part is that Kate can grasp at this moment in her life the dangers of the occult, what with her engaging in those activities with a ouiji board, or whatever they are; those are the worst things imaginable regarding spiritual practices. The thing that astounds me is that she can grasp the dangers thereof of using magic to rebuild a world, or a universe. That kind of contract indicated will kill the soul of the person who engages in it, it is as if you are licking a virus or bacteria storage source: really harmful doesn't begin to describe it regarding the entities she'd be contacting in that book. In fact, best odds are to destroy said book and leave things as they are.

xunit62 I wouldn’t say that I’m never disappointed, sometimes I am, no show is perfect. I think the intentions are good. It’s redeeming factor is it’s cast/characters. Kara is such a wonderful character to edit. Season 1 remains my favourite season and then probably Season 3. Simply because she showed so much more emotion in those two seasons.

I got chills while watching this. You did so great on this one just *chefs kiss* it was amazing! I honestly love the scenes where she shows that she isn't just goodness and light and virtue, I like her anger, her pain, her frustration, her dark side. I loved watching this so much because it compiled all her pain into one video and it defined her. It shows who she is and how she's grown. I just love this edit so much!

Ok so when they were looking for the paragon of truth, they said a kryptonian who has lost more than any human can endure and they found that one Superman right. So obviously now lex took Superman’s spot and idk how that affects that paragon position. But also like why can’t Kara be 2 paragons now, of Hope and truth...bc she also just lost her mom and everyone again, even her cousin and has been through so much pain... so maybe we won’t get screwed by lex replacing Superman bc Kara is also kryptonian and qualifies for paragon of truth.

james4jane4 Emerald Mamea That’s an excellent point, I never thought of that until you mentioned it! But Kara is the next person to have lost so much. So yeah, you might be right, there. I think with the loss of her Earth and the loss of Alex and all of the people closest to her, she’ll summon the immense will that is required to bring them back. After all she has absolutely nothing else to lose now.
But also like. Lex Luthor, human, has been using the book just fine. I understand that its a big job to bring back the muiltverse, but together they have to be something. You don't make Paragons just to watch all the worlds end. Maybe her hope will be the glue to keep them all together and make them realize that they need to use the book.

That was beautiful. Great job on the editing. One of the issues I have with the current crisis and this season, is Kara holding back her feelings. Yes she cried. But that anger she had in season 1. The hurt inside her. Especially with all that's happened to her. She is going to snap and I fear for anyone who stands in her way when it happens.
saya dubre I agree I enjoy seeing Kara get angry and upset rather than remaining stoic. I think she hasn’t really had the time to be emotional though in all fairness. But who knows, now that all the earths are gone, we might get some kind of outburst. Here’s hoping! 🤞🏻

Oh, and addendum; I did watch it, and I loved the episode, especially where Kate warns, or seems to warn, Kara away from using what amounts to a magic book to bring back the material universe. That was a nice-quality touch. Kara pretty clearly has PTSD issues about abandonment; that much is certain.
And you encapsulated it, as did they: that's what a friend or buddy does: stands up to someone when they are engaged in doing something suicidally stupid or in any way unethical, no matter what. In fact, the amazing part is that Kate can grasp at this moment in her life the dangers of the occult, what with her engaging in those activities with a ouiji board, or whatever they are; those are the worst things imaginable regarding spiritual practices. The thing that astounds me is that she can grasp the dangers thereof of using magic to rebuild a world, or a universe.
That kind of contract indicated will kill the soul of the person who engages in it, it is as if you are licking a virus or bacteria storage source: really harmful doesn't begin to describe it regarding the entities she'd be contacting in that book. In fact, best odds are to destroy said book and leave things as they are.

xunit62 I wouldn’t say that I’m never disappointed, sometimes I am, no show is perfect. I think the intentions are good. It’s redeeming factor is it’s cast/characters. Kara is such a wonderful character to edit. Season 1 remains my favourite season and then probably Season 3. Simply because she showed so much more emotion in those two seasons.

It would require actually watching the shows, getting them, remembering important scenes and honestly the amount of time that will take is time I'd rather use editing something else.
