Thanks so much for the kind comments! And I am glad you learned a lot in the course! I do like to get to the point right away and teach the theory by using practice. Students enjoy putting what they learn into practice pretty quickly. Let me know if you have any questions.

Quite helpful for me as a beginner 👍
can you change the grid so in of 3 by its 2 by give?
Very interesting. I'm doing a paid course at uni for design and this isn't the way they taught us. But your way is much simpler
Thanks! Yes I teach this at a university as well. It really depends on the way the professors teach it.
thank youu, now someone explain to me why the default does the last thing you’d want to, and to move it and change the size normally i have to hold ctrl and shift?
Thank you, good explain to beginners

The images i open in indesign is so small that i have to scale it up. But as i do that the image gets pixelated. Where can i get large format images for an A4 size layout?

Cool--I am making a book of crossword puzzle that are always the same size. How would I import them and 1.Make sure they are all the same size AND 2. All in the same position?
Wow, the command with the display perfomance saved me! I am a first timer for Indesign and it is really useful for me thanks!I was wondering, from the moment i firstly put a photo on my template, why it is shown with a pixelish effect.
And now i solved it. Also you explain it all pretty good * thumbs up *
Llllpppooooo
Really helpful... Thank you so much!!!
Thanks you that was very helpful. Its a tad different from how older versions of indesign work
+Shaffron Entitlement Thanks!
This tutorial is very outstanding sir god bless you. sir when fitting image to shape i am losing some area in the image. sir can you tell me how
to fit the image in the shape without losing any area. in the fittting option of fit content to frame i am still losing some area of the image.
Thanks a lot bro....very helpful to me...
Hi thanks for the great vid! I am just a bit lost at the PSD image. I am a Mac user, and don't have a PSD image, how do I make the edit my image with formats like PDFs or JPEG? Thanks :)
Hi Hanna I just saw this. PSD is a Photoshop file format. So, if you have a PDF or JPEG, those can also be placed into InDesign, no worries. We have more options with PSD like placing specific layers, but with JPG or PNG (raster formats), we can also resize the images or image frames in InDesign, too. Thanks! -Chad
What if you want to place an image partly UNDER another image?
Great that’s was easy and straight to the point
ITS REALLY WORKED LOL THANK YOU DUDE
Thank you so much 🙏 you really helped me 😊😊😊
Very nice! Thanks!
Works well!! DANKEEE
I’m working with a magazine issue that wants to use my work, however I’m confused as what they mean when they say they don’t want “square” images... can someone help. I have to resize down to 8.5x11 format with high resolution.
Omg! Thanks!!!!
Thank you SO MUCH
nice tutorial. thanks
Thank you!
What is tha size of the frame?
Thanks to the author of the video
Hi there, can you please tell me why my 8.5x11 jpg image looks huge & I have to resize it when I place an image on a 8.5x11 InDesign document EVERY TIME! ???
Thank you!
It might be the ppi, how many pixels per inch? (In Photoshop, Image>Image Size). It's better to have a larger file and make it smaller than the reverse though, of course.
Thanks you :D
i am a college student working on my first magazine and i havent even started watching the entire video but THANKYOU
You're welcome and I hope you learned a lot!
great video wish i saw this earlier
Urgent help needed!! Why can't I drag my images???
I thought InDesign was only for print work. It can be used for online magazines, too?? Thank you for the upload.
how about videos......how to i fit videos in indesign, i mean the ideal frame size
This is really great and easy to understand! The only problem I had was the southern way of talking, although nice, the lilt kind of fades off at the end and I had to keep turning up my speakers when his voice would get too soft.
Thanks u so much God
Why do NONE of the InDesign versions I see on these videos match the one I have? I can't follow anything.
Intriguing stuff
Excellent, quick intro to importing images in InDesign. I wish you would refrain from using the term "Embed" as this term does not mean "place and image in some shape" but refers to an import technique which copies the entire image content within InDesign, as opposed to the normal "Place-Link" technique.
nice uploaded video thanks for man✔✔✔
Use a speed of 1.5 to go through the lesson faster, save time in the process and still learn :)
So why is it when I place my image it just instantly pixelates?
I drag it to be super big, I just click like you did, it's pixelated. In Photoshop I'd hit enter that it would give me the full resolution, is it something like that?
If an image is resized to be larger than the original dimensions (width and height) then it will pixelate, especially if it's resized to be much larger. In InDesign, if you just click instead of click and drag when placing the image, it will place it at the original dimensions. Or check the dimensions in the properties of the image. In Photoshop, if we go to Image>Image Size it will indicate dimensions and also resolution in terms of PPI, or pixels per inch. If an image is 4 inches by 5 inches and it's stretched to be 12 inches by 15 inches in an InDesign layout, it will pixelate because of the upsampling, especially if there is a lower PPI like 72 ppi for the web, but even with more detail such as with 150 or 300 ppi it can pixelate if resized a lot larger than original.
@@GoodCreativeAcademy
eh........ of course I can't replicate this on good old' Adobe CS6 xD
Here everything works the way I think it should.
I was using the 2020 version the other day at my school. The new Photoshop is really weird too. Not sure if I'll get used to it.
Selecting an object in a layer without selecting the layer? Blasphemous. ;D
Sir which app??
Adobe Indesign
How do i add pages?
Found it.
Gosh why am I so Great??
Hi Gabby, yes there are a few ways to add pages, up at the top menu, or just press the Add New Page Icon on the Pages Panel. Chad
All I needed to do was click FILE - PLACE omfgfffgg it’s that easy?????? I’ve been going CRAZY trying to figure out why my Ai file won’t open I’m In Design... 🙄
Yep, we can place AI or EPS files from Illustrator, or PSD from Photoshop, or raster images like PNG or JPG into InDesign by going to File>Place.
i hate how this program works with pictures
lol
Gosh I wish you guys would just slow down....especially your cursor movements
Hi Carolyn, thanks for the feedback, some learners like quicker pace and some like slower, at least according to feedback on my courses. I suggest using the video player controls here on UA-cam which can slow down or speed up the narration, it can be helpful. Some also pause the videos to follow along.
