I’m Taiwanese. The 7-11 food selection in Seattle is...underwhelming to say the least. I don’t love 7-11 but they do sell (relatively) healthy and reasonably-priced meals at 2AM
it's not necessarily fancy, but it's something that stands out so much that people might consider this an interesting date idea. The amount of variety and the quality blow anything America has to offer out of the water.
I totally went overboard 😔 but I hope you guys enjoyed it! Growing up, I've always spent a little too much time at 7/11 in either Hong Kong or Taiwan, so it was really cool being able to show you all a part of it when I was in Taipei visiting family 🙏
yeah, usually when asians speak their language their pitch or tone might change, usually higher. my voice is really high pitched speaking madarin, but normal pitched when i speak english
Well most people just eat from convience stores at like anytime. Depends on drinking laws, you can drink in public for example japan. Also you can literally have hot water for your noddles and eat the noddles at 7-eleven. Also in japan, most supermarkets opens around from 11am-6pm or 1pm- 7pm and closed on wednesday. That is why 7-elevens lets you eat there and get the foods from a supermarket.
in Asia 711 is very convenient/healthy for college students because they have a salads and other stuff unlike in america/canada all food they sell is calories DEEP FRIED FOODS yuck

I lived in Taiwan for 5 years - recently came back to US. My friend from Korea came to visit. I needed to get gas and on the way out she asked me where I was going. I told her 7-eleven. She insisted on coming along. I didn't know why at first then saw her disappointment after we arrived.
When you visit Taiwan or Japan, you have to visit those convenience shops. They are amazing 🙈🙈🙈 You will find different choices of delicious food there😋 and they are cheap too 🤗
