I don't know how many times I listened to this masterpiece but, one thing I can confess, each time I feel as if it's the first time I hear it and I feel those goosebumps and shedding tears. France should be the winner. A great, magic voice, with such a strong sentimental song interpreted by Slimane in perfection from deep of his heart and soul. ❤️🌹

The microphones that are used on stages like this are really good at picking up what they're supposed to pick up (and at what they're not supposed to pick up). It will pick up your voice even two meters away if you're in front of it. If you're behind it even a half a meter, it will not. The volume of the singer's voice does not change linearly when he comes closer to it.

This singer took us on a roller coaster of emotions with just one song. His performance gave us goosebumps without any complex dancing or staging-truly a performer, not just a singer. It's a song and show contest - there is a place for him and for funny performances. The diversity is something good. Besides, IMHO the best part about eurovision is the fact that we can discover music that we wouldn't normally have access to.

Never actually paid attention to Eurovision songs.
Around 10 people around me talking with kids running around shouting.
Saw a man laying around with something like a t-shirt. Ok, next please...
And at video's 00:38, my ear gets a warm sound coming from the TV.
I turn my head and I think to myself, that's seems like a real song... Ok, you have my attention.
Everybody was talking and shouting, and this guy has me hooked on TV, trying to shush everybody.
Needless to say, from that point on, I could only hear him like he was singing right next to me giving me goosebumps.
That guy's voice just gets through everything! He communicated that pain like he was shooting arrows. Straight to the heart!
The acapella part and the silent crowd, wow, so powerful. Simple proof that good music doesn't need anything else to move you. And French, gosh, such a poetic language. Congrats from Italy, Slimane ❤🇮🇹

This is what eurovision is about . Music you feel in your heart but don't understand one word of the language.
This year was more or less a 2015 dejavu. Back then Italy was absolutely freaking robbed, although their performance was probably better than any other country's since 2000. This year this guy was done so dirty. They supposedly got juries in order to balance voting for one's neighbours. But in reality all they are doing is pushing agendas. No wonder eurovision turned from a song contest to a circus contest.
