We love the new truck camper. So happy for y'all! One constant in life is ..change 😁 Love the carpet removal! Just makes sense to have something easy to keep clean at the entrance especially for camping 😂 I thought when you said chalk paint that you were going to make a little chalk board out of that cabinet door...which wld be super cute and functional! You Cld change the message every day or put what's for dinner or a quote etc 😉
I love how you guys are already making this new rig your very own. It will be a perfect fit for your lifestyle...And I won't have to worry about you freezing to death this winter!
😊 Reminds me of helping my dad in the old days. Nice to see. Here are my two cents: I wouldn't paint the butcher block pieces at the entrance. They look nice. I would repaint the cupboard door. It looks out of place as it is. You folks are so smart and so amazing. Wish I had young people around to help me do a back up camera. That is so great.
Hi cordy and Kelly you two come up with some good ideas to improve the RV and yes cream of wheat it reminds me when I was a little kid cordy your dad reminds me of my dad always has the measurements tape happy camping
Love the cabinet door. I feel like I would have painted the outer frame of it to match the rest of the cabinets and used chalkboard paint in the middle. I like to draw chalkboard art so easy to erase a change for all the seasons or holidays. I love watching you guys on your journeys and adventures. Keep ‘em coming!
I am so impressed with your creativity on your customization projects! I was really wondering how you would find storage for all your stuff and toys, but I think you are actually going to do it. Way to go Kelly and Cody!
Love the way your families help you both out when needed! They are sweet! Getting it done to your liking! ❤️ It will be so nice to travel in when time comes!❤
Here is a tip on the faucet. Try rotating the faucet 90 degrees so that the handle is aligned over the sink instead of the side. Less mess and easier to use.
You guys have made a lot of progress in a short time! I am impressed! If you are looking for suggestions for changes, I would look at the table to see if there is a way to modify the end closest to the door to be a drop leaf so you didn’t have to always squeeze around from the one end. If you end up deciding to repaint the door consider making it a chalk board with white trim that you could use for notes or to list the menu for what Kellie is cooking on each blog.
That cabinet door would be cool painted black with chalkboard paint that you can write on with chalk....you can put messages, or jot down things to do or shop for. Would be useful. :)
I'm glad to see you're finished with mods. I know you can't wait to hit the road! That stove top chopping block is awesome! I can't wait to see you living the dome life in your new home. 🥰
So happy for y'all. I remember the feeling of getting our first RV. It's a game changer. You still get all the benefits of camping with a few perks of home. I hope y'all love it.
Great to see you guys getting so much joy out of setting up your home just like you like it. Looking forward to all the fun adventures and of course great cooking you'll be having in the future. Take care and God bless.
Looks good you should weigh your truck after you do all your mods and have it fully loaded like your going camping. Don't forget the water and just see how close to the Max weight. 🙂
Thanks for listing the mattress thing we have the camper with the patio and when you mentioned the thing under the bed A. I couldn’t figure out what to call it to look up on Amazon B. Realized we probably need one😂😂😂
Fantastic updates, each and every one. I’ve come to realize that modding an RV and making it your own is so satisfying. I imagine that’s especially true when the RV is your home. Great mod ideas for this one.
Wow man, you two, (ah, three) are really go getters with finishing the projects! Interesting to see how it all gets done. Yahoo! you'll be ready to go and stylin' it. Congratulations!
Have the same camper. Love the blk water drain shelf on outside. Also that storage as you step in. I will steal these ideas! Thx! Stuff Ive done. Taken off bathroom door n replaced with pullback curtains. Painted entrance n kitchen white w/blue accent. Since the paint is soft I found it best to put two coats of polyureathane to give it a hard coat n easy to clean. Water based is fine. In my spoon/knife drawer I put 4screws near the top that my s/f/k organizer rests on. The heavy cutting knives n big utensils sit underneath. Thinking of putting lil shelves in the others to give them dual height. See ya’ll on tha road! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Two other ideas I will be implementing. The restroom. I will take out that mirror vanity n replace with multiple level shelving running from behind and above the toilet (which you dont have!) and around to where the mirror was. I’ll put in a better mirror that I have here in the house. 10X the amnt of storage. #2.- where you step up into the bed….that wall surface at your knees….I’m putting a tabletop that hangs on a piano-hinge. When needed, lift up and the support leg or legs swing down. Thinking of making it a game-table too! Next month: renovating the bedroom!👍🏻
Howdy howdy. More thoughts. It got into mid 40°s here in Fl n that floor was really cold. Looking at the sub-space I see zero insulation. I know we have the basement heater but Im wondering if it could still use a good dose of insulation down underneath n other spots. Using styrofoam sheeting w/foil on outside tween truck n underbox. I thought of boxing off the battery since it needs to vents n that brings in cold air. Any other thoughts, ideas, inputs? That first foot of free space underneath the flooring as you step in looks like a nice storage place for some tools n stuff.
Something the worker guy that was doing the installation told me at the rv center was that since our license tags on the truck are hidden, that state troopers/LEOs may not like that. They can stop you and ticket you for obscuring the tag and Id hate for any escalation to happen so I am making a copy of the tag to place where it can be seen. May not happen but just in case. Cross my fingers knock on wood whisper BeetleJuice 3Xs! Lol
Everything coming along nicely!! I'm excited to see how nice it's going to be traveling for you too. Congratulations all is done Everything looks amazing. God bless you and all your beautiful family's. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am SO happy for you guys. You seem just so much safer & cozier now. Hope you keep your tent for good weather times though. So great to have options. 👍
Lovin'that sink setup!!! It's really coming together Thx pop Oden! You did a great job. The cabinet looks great. I wonder what will be next to redo. Kellie will keep Cody busy till it's perfect🤓👍❤️💯
You guy's are getting it done. I sorta have same setup, Superduty with Palomino 1600 pop-up. I am not full time RV'ing but I do extended weekend camping trips from Houston to Ouachita Forest, West TX area and southern NM dispersed type stuff. Be cool to join up if in same area.
Great job on all your projects! I'm in Texas too but way west and south of your Dad in Comanche County. I'm especially impressed with the work you did on the step and the back up camera!
So happy for y’all. We pick up our brand new attic wolf fifth wheel today and wait to try out the solar that is installed on the roof to see what it can do. Congratulations
Camper is looking great.Nice to have family support. Its a blessing. Here a thought in the pantry use shelves and basket you got all that vertical space Bungie corrd in front of spices will help.Put a pool noodle next to the water tank.Looking forward to the many adventures.Have a great week.
as a suggestion: you could of taken in a door front or a drawer into the store, and match up the paint better that way, and also, I think they now have a scanner thingy, that they just scan the paint color on the door and can match it up! FYI........
I have come to love, uptown high rent! And now you have just added, that’s handier than a shirt with pockets! I’m dying! Please tell me you have a T-shirt that says uptown high rent!
They make a wireless camera. Works great. Stays powered for a good 24 hours. Runs off wifi connection to your phone...(not actual wifi). I've had mine a long time. Wasn't cheap but no drilling.
Awesome work and finish! This camper rig will be the best on the road. Love it! You got me shopping for a dually now. I was going to look at an Airstream to pull behind my van but a dually and camper would be so much easier to handle.
Im so jealous of your new faucet, as I do have a high clearance faucet in my EPro 19BH, but it doesn’t have an extendable wand. You’re absolutely correct about it wasting water. I think I have the same sink you do and rinsing it out is a total water waste. My cabinet underneath is TINY!!! I’m still trying to figure out how to get behind the cabinet to loosen/tighten that bolt that holds the faucet stable in the counter. uugh
So excited to see you get back on the road in your new home! I've seen in vans where people print photos or paint murals in cabinet panels. I wonder if you could put one of your t-shirt logos or other image on the new cabinet?
Not sure if previously mentioned but maybe an auto parts store carry some gas struts for suv door glass in different sizes. I've seen people use them in similar applications. Just a thought. Love the set up
There is a very good chance, the handle on the faucet can vibrate open when driving and flood your camper. Some people use a heavy rubber band on the faucet handle to secure it to the faucet stem so it can't turn on when driving.
@@victoriabroyles6467 I saw a video of this exact same faucet on another channel. The title was " Brand new faucet floods camper." I'm sorry I don't remember the channel.
I have a kitchen faucet just like your new one. I turned it so that the off & on handle was positioned over the sink basin so I would not drip water with my wet hands on the counter . Doing this however makes the hot on the right & cold on theft but it was worth it to not have water drip on counter. Maybe i am just not a tiny dish washer haha
For the rear camera I also had a little tiny monitor inside the camper so that I could see who was at the door. When someone knocked I could just look on camera and see who is there..
Backup camera is a must… but y’all need to get a security system and actual security cameras. The new camper van is your home (on wheels) and should also be protected.
Man this made me miss my dad. He could wire up anything. He was the best man I ever knew.
I feel the same. My dad was an electrician. Among other things. I used to help him on his farm. This really takes me back.
