One correction with the woman being given the card 'without playing any games', while this is played to mislead us that she's a player we find out from 'Officer' that runs the organ smuggling ring that shes been a guard for many years going back year after year to serve as a soldier in the games, and the longer serving soldiers seem to know each other quite well.
There was scene where the coffine popped open and it was dropped down and faked burned, does that mean someone maybe survived or someone else is also in the inside?

I understand that Gi-Hun didn't know what the Front Man looked like behind the mask... but he needs to stop putting his trust in anyone who wears 001. 😂
I think you're wrong about the FrontMan... he went in the games with the intention of seeing exactly what Gi-Hun was up to and to then sabotage his plan; I don't think he went in the games because of any crisis of conscience or because he's on the fence morally. However, I do believe that in season 3 he may be swayed by his brother.
I don't think it was to sabotage his plan because if that was it he wouldn't have gone along with it for as long as he did, I think the Frontman was trying to crush Gi-huns spirit by killing his best friend in front of him.
I think he was trying to poke holes in gi-huns morality. Gi-huns original motive is to prevent as much death as possible but ultimately is willing to sacrifice people for his own objective, something the front man smirks at
@@Grufflebum and by proving to him that the games will never end because the people want the games. They need the games. @@Grufflebum he agreed to sacrifice a few people for the greater good which to him meant killing some of his soldiers for the plan… Gihun had a good plan and had even better back up outside with the soldiers and the detective…. They had under estimated him and the only thing that gave them an upper hand was the mole (fisherman) they planted on him and his team this is why front man decided to join so he could know what else gihun had up his sleeve and ofcourse to poke holes in his morality and also try to justify the games!
I don't think so for now because he did a good job blending in with a rest but now that he isn't anymore he can put one and two together and think about who 001 really was
No matter how this ends, Gi han sacrificed the lives of others for his plan. This brought a smirk to 001 because the games are similarly designed that way. I believe this will be brought up when they have their face to face encounter.
100%! It was a definitive twist in his character and a total 180 from where he started in season 1. I can't wait to see how he'll react to that realisation.
@@minimouette yeah that was 001s plan all along. That’s why he kept asking him all of those questions on his plan to question his mindset and maybe get him to think in a different perspective.. to become like him so he could take over possibly. I agree! His plan was evil. Everyone besides his group was a pawn. He should at least let everyone know what's going on and teach them how to defend themselves!
Honestly i liked season 2 only i dont understand the decision of letting the x's die for them to hide it is so not in his character since he wanted to save everyone only to let his group die.
2 things I've noticed: they were left to be last in the six leg games because if the team loses no one will see they don't kill 001, also whenever 001 was the last one to vote he either vote to continue the games or to make it equal so the contestants will kill each other during the night.
What I don’t get though is many of the events were team games, so despite 001 having the previous winner they could still have messed up and died , perhaps 001 doesnt care about death a bit like the recruiter and the voting the chances of it coming down to just relying on one vote from 001 to continue or stop seemed very unlikely as it happened twice as well I need to rewatch it though as lots of things can be missed on first watch
@@jel3726the reason they were played the last in the circle one was to ensure that nobody can see him die (if they loose) they could easily kill the teammates first and leave the frontman

I had a funny feeling about the captain because in season one they would always say “ the boat is here” when they delivered the organs…I kinda put 2 n2 together and I might be wrong but the captain wasn’t to be trusted
@ I honestly don’t remember it’s when they were in the room removing organs on a dead body…but they were divers bringing the organs to a boat and they never showed the boat…so I just had a feeling 😂
I’m glad you mentioned the in-ho slipped and called Gi-Hun by his real name. That could’ve ruined his whole plan of Gi-Hun even had an ounce of suspicion that he was the front man.
I really really like the fact that the ending shootout they are constantly run out of ammo unlike most Hollywood action films, Ammo run out surprising quick and you constantly need to get more, and that’s one of the main reason (Besides Front man) they lost the battle. Glad to see they went this route where usually that’s not the case.
The son would have never abandoned his mother willingly. He was dragged away by 2 men but obviously didn’t do enough to fight them. To say that he betrayed his mother is simply not true.
I think he fought 99%. I agree when i watched i didnt think he betrayed her and i still kinda dont. But... he fought all the way until he thought going in was his best choice. At the very last second, ge stopped fighting and accepted he has to lose his mom to continue. He stood on his morals the next round holding hands with her as he probably immediately realized that was the wrong choice
You didn't mention 001 breaking the neck of the 3rd guy in the room during Mingle and the friend keeping that info to himself. It was a fairly pivotal moment to leave out.
I like the use of the horse mask as it reminds me of how the main character used to bet on horses, and front man called the players "horses" in season 1.
Another one I have noticed. The front man saves Gi-Huns life when Gi-Hun interrupts the second vote. The first time he interrupted the vote, the guards point a gun at him and say that they will no longer tolerate interruptions during a vote. In the second vote Gi-Hun interrupts again and the front man immediately takes over the interruption by shouting himself. The guards are of course not gonna kill the front man and let it slide.
Another one i have noticed 001 throws the top woth his right hand twice and fails intentioanlly and throws with left hand and succeeds If gi hun was paying attention he might have noticed the sabotage
Yes! Front man is a lefty and when he wants to make sure he does the job well he user his left hand (see scene when he shots his cop-brother), whereas when he shoots the pink guards he uses his right hand. I think this is intentional, to show his duplicity and real intentions. There are many such exemples, I paid special attention to this aspect related to Front man.
Completely unhinged… I definitely wasn’t expecting that… I was watching and when he stomped the bread out, I was like “oh, ok… he’s completely crazy, got it”
One theory: he deliberately rigged the Russian Roulette against his favor so he can taunt Gihon and take his own life. I assume he wants out of this job but couldn't so the only way is to off himself
The sniper doesnt spare 246 life. The player eliminated was announced 244, but they make you think its him because of how she watches him through the scope. In reality she just stopped and noticed him while looking for 244
i thought of it as "catching squid" was bringing players onto the island. i saw another comment saying he may be the one picking up the organs after they're harvested. that could make sense too because they dive down to deliver them, maybe the swim up to the boat? 😮
@@thejessyshow13also their is a hint that he may be picking up organs, when a Souldier gets killed while opening the door on that island the body was put inside the boat soon he tells them to wind up and return as a dead body in boat will be helpful for getting fresh organs.

In-Ho for me is never combing back to the light. Many have been fooled that he will because of his stellar acting job in season 2 fooling Gi-Hun. But in every episode he stares at Gi-Hun, trying to read his emotions, never losing sight of his mission. Even though he fooled Gi-Hun and the audience they he was good. He is clearly the main villain of the series going forward.
Maybe he knew that if he had left Korea to visit his daughter, He would have never comeback coz we know from season 1 that Gi-Hun's weakness is her daughter

I always thought there was something fishy about that sea captain. After all, how did he just happen to come across Jun -ho near this heavily fortified island at the right moment to rescue him? Too much of an unlikely coincidence.

@@ku8adop I unfortunately never caught on, but looking back the helping him for free was suspicious and his other actions pointed subtly to him working for the front man.
Don’t think 001 is in the games due to a crisis of conscience. I think 1- former champ wanted to play with/against another former champ 2- he may want to bring 456 to the dark side, and make him have the same outlook on the games/life 3- steer the games in a specific direction just like 456 is trying to. Ying yang 4- another channel suggested that 001 may try to recruit 456 to the staff. We’ll see
HEAR ME OUT: Il-nam (season 1 old guy) is the FATHER of the frontman (both 001) --- okay so --- in season 1 when Gi-hun asks whether he can have chocolate milk because he can't drink normal milk, Il-nam says 'my son was just like you' --- THEN in season 2 the frontman while undercover in the games offers his plain milk to the pregnant girl and says 'I can't drink plain milk' :0 --- also remember as Il-nam was on deathbed how close the frontman was to him, almost like looking after his father
I thought the same thing about the milk conversation. And if I'm not mistaken we don't know anything about Gi-hun's father, II-nam and Gi-hun lived in similar looking houses, his mother was about the same age, and the front man was raised by a step mother. What if all 3 are II-nam's son's.
My only issue with season 2, is it was all just set up for season 3. If they do in fact end it with 3 seasons, they have to cram a lot of unfinished plot lines into what another 7,8 episodes? Seems unreasonable to me. That being said I did love the vibe and tone of the second season.
If they could handle finishing the many plots and characters in season 1, they can handle it in the next 7-9 episodes. The story is a lot less complicated than you might think.
It’s because of character development as to why it was set up into two additional seasons (most kdramas are only one season). The typical saying for kdramas is, don’t reject a show based on the first 1-3 episodes as the amount of character development is heavy and sometimes boring. So because the pre is of the show is death games, you need character development before they die. No point in doing flashbacks later, or in high tension moments. I watched Wonderful World (Disney+), and the first two episodes were extremely heavy, slow, and seemed like too much (I almost quit watching). At the end of the show (after the multiple twists), I realized it was done that way to show the heavy grief and toll of losing your child can bear upon a human which affected the character throughout the rest of the show.
I was surprisingly sad that the recruiter was killed off. He could have been a fun double agent. Aside from his sadistic side we were left not knowing enough about him. I know it's somewhat explained in the show, but I still don't know what distinguishes a potential employee from a potential contestant, since both sides have financial and trauma based backgrounds.
He’s a huge actor in Korea & has a lot of sexual allegations. They originally had more for his character but had to write him off because of his pending cases
I don't think you could have done much sadly enough. The scope of his station was probably just being a recruiter for the games and very little insight beyond knowing what kind of games they were. Kind of like the theme of how powerlessness works in a system based on how much money one has.
@Heavyspoilers, at 18:00 you talk about the Korean names. In season 1, 001 is called IL-NAM (일남) means "one" and "man" (nam is the first part of the word namja) so maybe it means the "first man" or "first person". In season 2, 001 calls himself YOUNG-IL (영일) which means "zero" and "one", which could refer to him being number one. I'm not fluent, but I've been living in Korea for a few years. Side note, please watch it in its original language. The dubbed language removes all of the passion.
Pay attention to Red Light/Green Light when the roof of the stadium opens. Pay attention to the seagulls. It's the same seagulls that are flying in the exact same direction when Gi Hun played the first time. We also see the same seagulls, flying in the same exact direction, when the roof closes. Also pay attention to the subtle look at Gi Huns face when he notices them. It's like he's saying, "What are the chances?" Is the island inside a much larger structure? Is that truly the sky that they are looking at, or a projector simulating a sky? Just a speculation here. Maybe this "island" cannot be found because it's not located in South Korea. Maybe it's located in North Korea. 😉 Ever question if all of the soldiers are also from the North, even if they are defectors? I questioned this before season 2 came out, and surely enough we have a soldier who is a North Korean defector. Why the speculation? Because people from the North are desensitized to death, public executions, etc making them the best selection for soldiers. We also have the religious archetypes that we saw in part 1, for those who caught onto it. The recruiter approaching Gi Hun in the subway and Gi Hun thinks the guy is a Christian trying to convert him. Thus Gi Hun responds with, "I don't believe in Jesus." Il Nam being the archetype of the vengeful God of the Old Testament (The Alpha 001), and Gi Hun being the archetype of the God of the New Testament (The Omega 456, aka Jesus). Il Nam wanting to join his creation in the flesh to "play the games." In reference to the trinity of Christianity. There is a reason why some people thought Il Nam may have been Gi Hun's father. Nope, it's a religious archetype. There is also some Buddhism archetypes in the story as well. "You all decided to come back." Il Nam dying on Xmas morning being a metaphor of the death of the God of the Old Testament, and the birth of the God of the New (Gi Hun). Gi Hun and the street preacher. Look at the symbolism of the hoodwink and the cross placed beside him. Then the word of God exits his mouth, aka the golden ATM card ($$$). Also the last fight with Sang Woo, who is the archetype of Judas who betrays Jesus in the garden, and then kills himself out of guilt. Sang Woo stabs the knife in the palm of Gi Huns hand. This is a metaphor of the crucifixion of Christ. And so on, and so on. In season 2 we are still seeing the same religious metaphors within the story but this time it's the Shaman lady. Notice how she was "wide awake" and staring at Gi Hun when people started waking up. Then what she says to him when he gets out of bed. She is also seen on the top bunk in which Il Nam stood on when he yielded the "commands" for the guards to stop the killing. There was also symbolism behind that scene that had a religious undertone. Il Nam, representing the God of the Old Testament, looking down upon the players (his creation) killing each other. You have more religious symbolism of Thanos with the cross. Inside the cross are narcotics. Is that an artistic statement about religion? Is religion a drug, like money? Then you have the concept of money and debt. Is there a statement being made that money has replaced God and the new sin is debt? Oh and btw, notice the cinematography when the recruiter is playing Russian Roulette with Gi Hun. Pay attention the pink light of Gi Huns motel sign shining in his eyes. His eyes look red, like a demon. Btw, I am not a religious person. I do believe that there are religious archetypes being used within this story. We also had a muslim character in part 1, Ali. Any ways, this may be too much to comprehend for most people who just watch Squid Games on the surface. The guy who wrote this story has a beautiful mind and is extremely cultured and intelligent. There is more going on in the story than what you see on the surface.
you are quite a brilliant man, i must say, on the assumption that you came up with these yourself. Another insight in addition to this is the death of ji-yeong (sae-byeok's friend aka 007) and the conversation leading upto it in S1. I believe her repulsion with religion, mirrors that of Thanos in S2, giving credence to the now shallow concept of money as god, and transition of traditional faith during human crisis to that purely being of survival. The recruiter is personification of this, for playing the overman yourself, gives illusion of beating nature itself.
furthermore, the observation that north koreans would be more desensitized to ruthlessness is important, as it shows the deeper irony of life being molded by uncertainty to bear more pragmatic ideologue than one moulded without it, something which is frequently bet against in the series. That ofcourse doesnt eliminate the biasing begotten by emotion, as is seen by sparing 246 towards the finale. Also, i have come to the conclusion that il-nam may have won the debt on his deathbed, as Gi Hun taking the bet is enough to show that he bears little difference to the show's hosts and clientele, betting on human life rather than going to help them (help the freezing man on the street).
Hate to point out flaws in your novel, but have you never looked at a world map? North and South Korea make up an island together. Jun Ho literally says Team 2's boat will be searching up north while his team would be to the southwest. They can't find the island because the boat captain was preventing them.
The captain saying he "catches squid" and that he makes a lot of money from it. Might mean hes literally hired to catch any contestants that escape. Or he is the same boat driver that drives the giant boat to the games.
@ I didn’t think of that. What gives it away? In the first season they talk about a Chinese ship comes and collects those. It could be when he says how much he makes. But idk id need more evidence.
Why couldnt he do both? In the beginning there is no organs to harvest. Why not take one lump sum for dropping off people then later take much more for bronging back their organs?. Then at the end he could transport the winners. His friend may also be involved as the pinks also need transporting, though they likely need a bigger boat as their pods wouldnt fit on the fishing boat. Or maybe he has a sexond boat that is larger to transport then goes fishing while the games take place selling and just happens to collect organs.
I'm assuming its more like a mid season finale. Seeing as S3 is due to release in 2025 I'm assuming S2 and S3 were filmed back to back and are essentially one long season split into two
@@Sushii_mochi have you watched many kdramas? I have. You can’t comment about a bias unless you’ve seen both sides. Because if you haven’t watched many Asian dramas (10+, either Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai) your opinion in ALSO biased… lol!! 🤭
@@sweetpea31821 yes, I've watched many series and dramas from both sides. And I think they both sides have equally unique, different and general good shows. Whether a show is good or not doesn't depend on its geographical place of origin but on it's directors, actor, writers and the entire crew. And the thing about you telling me that I'm I'm the one who's biased, on what grounds did you say that? I did not even side with one particular party saying that this is superior, unlike you.
You missed a major one. While Gi-hun is talking to Mr. Piggybank in the limo, they’re talking about horse racing. How people are horses and Gi-hun’s plan is basically to tell the horses owners to stop. This is going parallel to the party, in which Gi-hun’s friend is wearing the green horse mask.
I also think 011 was a guard in the first season. They say she’s been working at the circus place for 2 years. Then quits when the games start again and she was just randomly approached to go back to work. Plus she hates the origin harvesting knowing it’s been happening
If you pay attention to the show, they mention that the main character has been searching for two years, and he didnt see Il nam on his death bed until a year after he won. She was not in season 1.
And Gi hun is batman, it perfectly make sense tho..cause in ho always wanted to see what the reality looks like, while being a cold blooded lunatic, thats what joker does to batman
I can't imagine Gi-Hun would be working with the Cop and the Cop wouldn't have told him, "My brother is the Front Man in charge of the games, this is a picture of him, I saw his face before he shot me". Unless they're saving it for Season 3 that Gi-Hun knew 001 was The Front Man. During the games, letting on that he knew wouldn't change anything, but could help guarantee some level of safety for their team (which it did), and maybe story wise, they'll eventually have the Front Man reveal himself to Gi-Hun, to which Gi-Hun will reveal he already knew.
But didn't the cop tell everyone that he doesn't know who shot him? I am not sure why he would do that tho.... Gi-Hun still might have caught on to 001 and found it out during the games
@@jeremyb9482 no, not nescessarily, he didn't know that the captain was a mole... and the people want to kill the frontman no matter if he was the brother or not. so it would have just helped the investigation by knowing how the front man looks like
@@staceynainlab888 Correct. He did not tell the police chief, he did not tell the sailor, and he did not tell Gi-Hun and the ex-military squad. He is purposely hiding that information, likely so he can try to have another conversation with his brother. @@EdoubleLYhe has the boat for 10 years. He was saying that in the context of that he never had an accident with the boat, so for at least 10. If I remember correctly
As a ship captain myself, we would talk about our experience separately from our boat’s experience. I have sailed for 8 years but I’ve only sailed my current ship for 2 years. I was sailing different ships my first six years. This is definitely what the captain meant and this was not an error by any means.
You missed a few clues. In Ep. 5 Player 001 tells everybody his name is “ Oh Yong-il” which is the exact same surname as the old man from season one. Also in Ep 5 player 001 offers his milk to the pregnant girl saying “take it, I don’t drink plain milk” which is a callback to the conversation our main character had with the old man from season one. The front man has been dropping hints that he is not who he says he is. And if you go back and watch the scene where he tells everybody his name you see our main character picks up on it immediately looking down at his number 001 before the character reference’s that his name sounds like his number. I think the twist in season 3 will be that our main character knew player 001 from the second season was not who he says he was the entire time.
Honestly idk that he could pull it off the way the character has been portrayed, i think he would screw up if he was trying to be sneaky. My theory is his ignorance is what has kept him safe - 001 snapped a neck in front of his friend and look what happened to him in the end lol
Crazy I thought about this too. I said “what if player 456 actually knows 001 is not who he says he is” && us as the audience just don’t realize that. I swear I said that could be a plot twist too bc I’m thinking he’s just to smart to just ignore all the red flags like come on now 😂

I honestly thought front man was starting to understand Gi Hun‘s pov, but after that ending, idk anymore. Would be weird if he‘d be still on Gi Hun‘s side AFTER k!lling his best friend
I actually started to like the front man as a character, even knowing he's a complete psycho 😂 him turning good would be pretty satisfying but it would make taking the games down too easy in my opinion
Finale took a nose dive in writing quality in my opinion. Randomly sacrificing people after not wanting to even attack the other side, Nobody commenting on that they're now not getting any money at all, somehow everyone forgot to check the pockets in the first place etc. Was just frustrating to watch.
Agree. The plot holes (letting X members die when the lights went off, the players hiding under the beds somehow could move to the middle of the rooms and played dead, and not checking for gun ammo) are hard to watch...
Also the Xs asking the O members to join them in the revolution and potentially trusting them with guns right after they were at war with one another, and further yet, none of the Os stepping forward to take that opportunity to weild a gun and then turn on them to get their power back? Plus the Os have zero incentive to help with that plan in the first place because they were consenting to being the games and wanted to win the money. The revolt was honestly a disruption to their goals so why do they just stand there in silence and submission accepting it the whole time? Then when a bunch of the Xs leave for the revolt, the Os would have outnumbered the remaining Xs and would have continued the attack and killed them so they would win the next vote and continue the games. Also in the gun fight, it got stagnant because they all stayed in the same places wasting ammo and getting nowhere for far too long. They should have split 50-50 with half going back to get the magazines, and the other half going onward to find the control room. Then the magazines would have made it back, and there would have been more backup at the staircase near the control room, so they wouldn't have outnumbered by the guards and stuck in the same place for a thousand years. Also those two extra guys with 001 not noticing him ignoring all the guns and ammo on the bodies of the guards on purpose, and not picking it up themselves, right after they had just been without ammo and were freshly conscious of their dire need for weapons and ammo. Anyone would think to be collecting as much of it as they could possibly get.

21:06 would like to correct you: I believe that’s gimbap (김밥) it’s kinda like a korean sushi i guess, but you don’t need a fork to eat it…. it shows that its done intentionally for the VIPS to watch the action of players killing eachother
To me it felt like in red light green light, Gihun was moving a little too much. Like even though he has his arm over his face you can see him trembling strongly every time he screams, as well as his eyes and mouth moving. To me it felt they were a bit too loose with that scene. Like they should have tried to get him to be more sneaky about it, as if trying to protect his own life at least. And the sniper POV showed they did have some views from an angle, so hiding behind someone would not always protect you.
@@staceynainlab888no it’s definitely helpful. There’s no one dying in first few rounds and the final deaths less than 100, while in season 1 is 255 people
Yeah I was also thinking that he was moving way too much, but the thing about the angle I don’t agree on. The doll is has the movement sensor and it’s placed directly in front of them, as someone else said the snipers just kill the numbers being called out
You are so off on thinking the front man is having a shift in conscience. He is there to do nothing more than test Gi Hun on the true morality of the actions he takes. He is trying to hold up a mirror and show him that they are one and the same when it comes to each decision. Opposite sides of the fence with nobody being victorious in their goals without being the same person morally. He is just mocking him the entire time as he questions the moral aspect that each of Gi Huns righteous efforts, and sees him make morally wrong decisions only because he believes it is for the good, the exact same reason the front man makes the same decisions.
Season 2+3 were filmed back to back I heard. So the story is already told we just haven't found everything out yet. Think of this finale as a mid season finale and it's a break on the season instead of two seasons
about guard 011 and player 246. The CPU called out "244." 011 looked through her scope and saw "246." She did a double take to make sure that she didn't shoot the wrong number. However, she immediately recognized him as the father of the girl with blood cancer.
The captain is deffinanlty a vip. The reason I believe so is not only because of his betrayal but he is close to the same age as oh il nam and says he has been boating these waters for 30 years. Which is how long ago the squid games started. He also picked up the officer most likely on orders from the front man. He also is referred to by management when 011 won't leave the organ donnors alive, the lead square says to her are you worried the captain will find out? You don't have to worry about that. Another option is he is the organ buyer or some how involved in the transportation of the organs which is why he was so close to the island
Another small detail I would like to point out is the speculation that the Frontman is Il-nam’s son. In the first season there is a scene in which Il-nam states “You are just like my son he couldn’t drink milk too” which can loosely tied to a scene in the second season where the Frontman gives his milk away because he doesn’t drink it anyways. This also ties in really well in the sense that we find out, the Frontman is Jun-ho’s stepbrother and not biological brother when his mother states that she loved him even as a stepson. This detail though would be able to let the writers hide the fact (through different last names) that Il-nam and detective Jun-ho are related. We are also not given much information about his step father so this may fill in that gap. Just a loose speculation but i thought it was an interesting detail that should be pointed out. The writers included these points for a reason.
I have a small theory that in the six legged race, the frontman purposely messed up until the last minute until the last "save" to gain more trust with Gi-hun.
I think the Frontman infiltrated the games primarily just to put on a show and make it entertaining. I mean that’s literally the entire reason he invited Gi-Hun back in the first place. He also probably just wanted to gain his trust, so if he did try anything, he could easily backstab him.
The beginning with the food vs lottery ticket thing I found funny. I don't know about Korea, but in America, food is fairly easy to come by for homeless people. Cash to support their habit, not so much. So, if the homeless person is smart, you choose the ticket every time. Plus, stomping on the food would not deter them from eating it.
I find it interesting that the Marine Guy, compare the underhand throw was Kim Byung-Hyun is almost the similar name as Lee Byung-Hun (The Front Man) actor and 001.
The only scene in this season that traumatized me was when they left with the solider's guns, we see Se-Mi dead and her friend crying over her out of shock and regret for not saving her. I felt so bad for both of them😭💔💔
@@danielcrunden5578 yeah the owner of the games or whatever also yes 001 died because of the brain tumor remember when they were looking at the homeless guy
@Wenegadewaider1111 yes i am aware the old man died, which is why I said he isn't the "front man", he is the "host" who couldn't join the other VIPs. The "front man" is the same person in series 1 and 2.
I don't want the Front Man to have a redemption arc. Also, there's an overhead shot of a chandelier in one episode, which reminded me of the suspended piggy bank.
I would really enjoy playing the six-legged race.............if my life wasn't on the line. In any other situation, it looks like fun. It's incredibly unfair though. Look at Gi-Hun's team for instance, three of them did their mini games perfectly in one try but all could have died because one person fumbled with the spinning top. In a context of playing for fun I'd be cool with that, but when their very lives are at stake it highlights the injustice of it
Let us know what you thought of the show below
Didn’t the front man also win 2 games be?
One correction with the woman being given the card 'without playing any games', while this is played to mislead us that she's a player we find out from 'Officer' that runs the organ smuggling ring that shes been a guard for many years going back year after year to serve as a soldier in the games, and the longer serving soldiers seem to know each other quite well.
Mediocre
There was scene where the coffine popped open and it was dropped down and faked burned, does that mean someone maybe survived or someone else is also in the inside?

However, I do believe that in season 3 he may be swayed by his brother.
Many close-up shots that frontman is observing gi-hun.

100%! It was a definitive twist in his character and a total 180 from where he started in season 1. I can't wait to see how he'll react to that realisation.

Yes although its interesting plot ..but predictable
What I don’t get though is many of the events were team games, so despite 001 having the previous winner they could still have messed up and died , perhaps 001 doesnt care about death a bit like the recruiter and the voting the chances of it coming down to just relying on one vote from 001 to continue or stop seemed very unlikely as it happened twice as well I need to rewatch it though as lots of things can be missed on first watch

S3 is basically part 2 of S2, because they cut off right in the middle of the games. Felt very incomplete

🤯!!
you are quite a brilliant man, i must say, on the assumption that you came up with these yourself.
Nice analysis!
The captain saying he "catches squid" and that he makes a lot of money from it. Might mean hes literally hired to catch any contestants that escape. Or he is the same boat driver that drives the giant boat to the games.
He is the one who collects the organs and trade them..
I don't think contestants escaping is something that happens to actually need someone to catch them. How do you even escape?

And the thing about you telling me that I'm I'm the one who's biased, on what grounds did you say that? I did not even side with one particular party saying that this is superior, unlike you.
You missed a major one. While Gi-hun is talking to Mr. Piggybank in the limo, they’re talking about horse racing. How people are horses and Gi-hun’s plan is basically to tell the horses owners to stop. This is going parallel to the party, in which Gi-hun’s friend is wearing the green horse mask.
Wait and in the teaser there’s players running on a track which could represent the horse thing
I also think 011 was a guard in the first season. They say she’s been working at the circus place for 2 years. Then quits when the games start again and she was just randomly approached to go back to work. Plus she hates the origin harvesting knowing it’s been happening

@@staceynainlab888 Correct. He did not tell the police chief, he did not tell the sailor, and he did not tell Gi-Hun and the ex-military squad. He is purposely hiding that information, likely so he can try to have another conversation with his brother. You clearly missed the dialogue between the Boat captain and thr detective. In a single scene, the captain said he's been sailing for 30 years and a few moments later he said he's been doing it for 10 years. I became suspicious of him since then.
I thought the captain said that he had the boat for 10 years. And he is sailing for 30 years.
@@EdoubleLYhe has the boat for 10 years. He was saying that in the context of that he never had an accident with the boat, so for at least 10. If I remember correctly
I took it as he’s been sailing for 30 years but only that particular boat for 10.
THIS!! I even rewound that part to double check that's what he said and instantly made me suspicious

Agree. The plot holes (letting X members die when the lights went off, the players hiding under the beds somehow could move to the middle of the rooms and played dead, and not checking for gun ammo) are hard to watch...
@@thaipham1991 Definitely could have been better written

Gihun and 001 were never going to die in the games, no matter how it played out.
A lot less people died in the Red Light, Green Light challenge than in the first season.
Thats why they are going to repeat it with two dolls

The captain is deffinanlty a vip.
The reason I believe so is not only because of his betrayal but he is close to the same age as oh il nam and says he has been boating these waters for 30 years.
Which is how long ago the squid games started.
He also picked up the officer most likely on orders from the front man.
He also is referred to by management when 011 won't leave the organ donnors alive, the lead square says to her are you worried the captain will find out?

He did intentionally mess up. He was throwing it with his right hand even tho he’s a lefty. Once he threw it with his left hand he nailed it.
@King_Jumpsh0t I didn't notice that detail at first.
That’s what I think too.

I think the Frontman infiltrated the games primarily just to put on a show and make it entertaining. I mean that’s literally the entire reason he invited Gi-Hun back in the first place. He also probably just wanted to gain his trust, so if he did try anything, he could easily backstab him.
