I think a new rule should be put in place. If a sub is locked in at the buzzer the guy needs to either escape or tap. Time freezes so long as the submission is locked in before the clock hits 0. But it must be locked in not just a sloppy sub attempt.

The whole point system is ridiculous and ruins the essence of Jiu Jitsu. There should only be combat jiu jitsu. When strikes are allowed you are automatically rewarded for good position and could work on attacking submissions aswell
