Tonon's ability to turn a disadvantaged position into instant offensive threat is why you can't take your eyes off his matches. All his instrucionals reflect his style and are really well done.
@Pull out The lapel oh look is the dds hater, still talking that score and stall game
i guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid forgot my password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
@Maxim Reed Instablaster :)
@Santino Zechariah i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now.
Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Santino Zechariah it worked and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much you saved my account !
What I really respect about JT's style is that I think he would be effective under any set of rules, gi, no gi, MMA, self defense.
His style would be awful vs an F16 or a nuclear bomb, which to me is why I like Tonon better since he is more sportsmanlike
@@Mindstangle right, yeah!
Combat Jiu Jitsu, Seminar etc. Absolutely.
Jt is so good, yet so underrated
Wrestling and top position is the king !!! The better wrestler wins in adcc always
He's probably going to stop being underrated soon. That dude's game is SICK!!!
JT has a complete game...both gi and no gi.
James Brasco
wrestling wouldnt do squat without the incredibly deep jiu jitsu knowledge JT has. Wrestling alone gets DEMOLISHED by submissions.
Let be accurate. Wrestlers turn their back all the time and give up their neck constantly due to their rules.
Jiu Jitsu is king. Then, once that is nearly equal, according to these rules, takedowns rule the day.
Nunya Business Nah.
Thanks for upload. JT is just a humble guy who gets it done without the arrogance.
Wait, you mean you don't have to act like a douche like GR to be good?
@Jake Gordon also has like 75 pounds on JT. Let's not act like that doesn't make a huge difference.
@Jake It is crazy how dumb this comment is.
@Jake What a horrible comment, there is a huge weight difference.
@@BestWayKilla if jt had 75 over gordon it wouldnt have looked any different lmao
Quarantine - a step towards free matches
I know right, the percentage of potential viewers theyre losing. Make it free and stick a load of ads in the video.
I hope they realize how much of a disservice to jiujitsu they were doing by holding this matches from the public
Or honestly just lower their subscription plan pricing. Even the major streaming sites that have more content cost less than Flo
toward poverty and famine too...
that kneebar and entry at the end is exactly what Tonon shows in his instructional breaking legs and breaking hearts xD
He almost broke that leg. 3-5 more seconds and that'd have been a win for Tonon. So close...
Didn't work on JT Torres though. Haha. L
@@quintopartido3991 saved by the beL
he used same entry in his match with aoki. But he used it for double trouble for that one
If someone is threatening a sub, the timer should keep going until it is clearly escaped.
Great match, thanks for the upload 🤙
Big Gord in the back cheering for Gary during that kneebar was really nice to see :)
Amazing match. JTs passing is insane. Just goes to show how strong Gary’s guard game is.
I just watched 15 minutes of pure Catch wrestling. It's good to see grappling has gone a full circle back to its roots. We're seeing more and more complete wrestlers with skills both standing and on the mats.
Thank you very much for uploading this match!!
How come you have just 265 subscribers?
Blaze how come you only got 8 subscribers?
@@monkeymon327 I'm a nobody and he's a revered black belt?
Blaze I’m a nobody too but hey, even a black belts got less subscribers like rest of us
Wow.....
They're both so good and man that kneebar looked close!
Daniel Alzate you could see JT getting his hand ready to tap. 5 seconds long and that would have been a sub.
@@johndee3341 it was such a tight knee bar. Had Tonon hit this just 3-5 seconds earlier it'd have been his win.
Gary is just an amazing practitioner.. Always putting pressure not just to score points but to actually submit people..
Not good in MMA though.
gary is the best ever to never win an ADCC
Great match! High level position advancement and control, strategy, pace, submission attack and escape work, pushing right up to the finish from 2 great athletes.
Phenomenal match
Tonin is ALWAYS in such incredibly entertaining matches
JT Torres' expression never changes and he never even looks sweaty, even after 15 minutes of work lol
His hand was ready to tap man. WOW. So close.
He had the perfect kneebar. He was controlling the other leg so JT couldn’t roll out. If time was on Garry’s side he would have gotten the tap or a torn up knee
2 through 3 seconds and JT Torres was going to TAP. Too close.
@@carlosribero932 Exactly and a submission win or default injury win or both.
He was getting ready to tap after the clock was out in case Gary kept cranking it after time.
@@xpat73 I think so too. I don't think he wanted to tap, he wanted make sure after time is running out, Gary stops cranking a submission.
Probably the best match of the ADCC last year I've seen.
Love both guys, they are not afraid to give it everything and put on a show.
Matches like this are why JT is one of my favorite competitors of all time
What an incredible match, huge respect to both fighters for pushing the fight forward from the feet. Gotta work on my own game!
Flo with that quarantine 🔥🔥🔥!!!
I was pulling for Tonon.
Tonon was pulling for JT's legs
My god jt torres is so oppressive from the top. That pressure, tho!
colossus808e that's why he's Garry's kryptonite. There's so much to learn from Jt.
Oppressive is not a word I hear often in bjj but one I will be using moving forward
As someone who trains with JT at Essential, I can confirm that "oppressive" is the perfect adjective to use from firsthand experience lol. *Painfully* Suffocating would suffice as well.
Oppressive? We're not talking tyranny here
@@juntjoonunya9216 still a wonderful word that fits the situation
Tonons my guy !! what an artist..he grapples like a magician !! best of all time for me any day !
I think they should change the rules so that you have to be out of the submission in order for the match to be over. That would make it way more exciting.
Great idea. It's kind of like some boxing federation rules where the boxer knocked down cannot be saved by the bell.
JT is a beast I wish he would compete in the absolute as well!!
Class acts both of them. What a great match.
Keep these free matches coming boys
cant wait for Garry Tonon vs Canuto and Nicky Rod vs Aly
You can watch them both with commentary on the WNO podcasts (Garry and Gordon + Nick and Gordon)
@@XxTheMetalistxX they took the podcasts off youtube :(
Amazing fight! Both guys are absolute warriors
I love watching New Jersey crank out beasts, well done boys
Wow! What a fight! Respect ♥️
What an amazing ending!
Come to think of it Ive never seen John danaher wear actual shoes..
or wearing a shirt instead of a rashguard.
using
poo yess!! Using. That actually made me think. 👊🏽👊🏽
@@lejjohn7577 Is it John Danaher wearing a rashguard or a rashguard wearing a John Danaher?
You never know when you're gonna have to answer some questions and give a demonstration. From the gym to Texas Roadhouse, from church to the subway, he's always ready.
10:18 Uchimata not haraigoshi
thank you! lol. smh
I guess you would know
So amazing that Kron subbed both these men in 2013 and how far they've come since then.
Thank you, Flo. This is a gem to give us!
That's truly an exciting BJJ match! They take risks and go all out, that's what i love to see. Hate to see the stalling 50/50 back and forth points type of match. Great competitors!
Both of these guys are so much fun to watch.
Thanks for this free fight to watch, keep it coming.
YAS! The things you can learn from studying this match and both these guys!
Wow! What a match between easily the two BEST in the world
At 11:15 watch JT bait an Uchi Mata (I think) attempt from Tonon using his right leg so he can step in with the same foot and move to a body lock. So good.
Great match up
JT is a monster
JT has no MMA career whatsoever though. Garry is 5-0 in MMA all finished and has the champion Martin Nyguen ducking him.
@@juliandickerson6635 irrelevant
Hey guys....oh woa!
I didn't know there was someone sucking off Gary tonnon in here. My apologies!
@@dimitrissrv3453 Relevant. Meaning Garry Tonon doesn't focus full time on grappling but MMA. So who's irrelevant. You're a JT Torres fan.
@@sly.al.6404 You're a mad asian Martin Nyguen fan.
Thank you ! Upload more JT matches :)
Fantastic upload...thanks
Please upload garry vs Renato canuto 💪💪💪
Jt's présure and position are incredible
Wow what a match!
Both great grapplers
Garry. The man
This is some great jiu jitsu.
damn good match..........respect to both
Well deserved for JT
I think Gary is the most entertaining no gi grappler of all time.
10:16 I'm guna be the judo snob here and let you know that's uchi mata, not harai goshi ;)
What a fantastic match.
OMG... Losing like that when you have a submission locked in.... Great match
Great Match
The Torres guy came to my school. We said hi for a sec because the busses were going to leave soon.
Jt training with Marcelo has paid off.
Brilliant commentary guys
Great match. Combat sports should do away with saved-by-the-bell finishes.
JT wasn't saved by the bell lol. He was perfectly safe cause he knew time was about to expire. If there was more time jt would not have just sat in that knee bar position.
@@southswagg I'm not saying JT was about to lose and was saved by the bell. I mean "saved" in the sense that the match does not end when the fighters are engaged in an active submission attempt, and perhaps even when one is in a dominant position. We can speculate all day long about what _might_ have happened if time weren't about to expire, but the reality is that no one actually knows what would have happened, since it didn't.
JT is Sooooooo impressive!
Great match.
Jt didn’t even look tired compared to Tonon. Great match. Gary would’ve had that kneebar.. looked like Torres was getting ready to tap.
Gary is so fun to watch.
Classy ending 👊
Amazing match!!!
Oh, sheeeeef, Garry was so close to the win at the end of the last seconds.. I'm sure, he could finish the kneebar(
Exactly . He realized the correct angle at the last fuckign second
Garry is a good guy and didn't crank too hard on JT because he didn't want to injure him. Even more respect to Garry now
Man wtf its the ADCC the elite of the elite of gi. People are not here to be kind, there here to win by any means 😉
@@gabrielbossee1439 not by any means. Guarantee no one will take a life altering injury for some stupid medal. Quit the mongrel thinking
Such a sick match
JT looked like he was about to tap at the end. If there was 5 or 10 more seconds i think Garry would've taken that knee home with him.
If he was about to tap he was pretty stoic. He’s from some gym cultures where guys don’t tap. It was a super deep kneebar though. Honestly I’d love to see a rule change where if time expires and a submission is locked in, then there must be a tap or an escape before the match is stopped. Kind of like in football how if time ends during a play they let the play finish out ya know?
. I believe you might be on to something.
@@WhtMike2006 yeah, exactly, it just makes fucking sense. I think it is so retarded that that isn't in place. It happens more often than not and I guarantee you more people would go for subs during the countdown; which would make a more entertaining viewer experience.
@@WhtMike2006 that would be really good for the sport
Hopefully someone watches your comment and apply it to the rules
I think if it wasn't for the time ending, JT wouldn't end up in that position to begin with
What a match!!!!
Awesome
Great match
It is crazy to see such an excellent match between such high-level players, only to know that a few matches later Gordon Ryan will treat Gary as if he doesn’t even know jujitsu
When they reset they put Gary lower on JT which made it easier for him to pass his guard. Real shame
if Tonon’s mustache was a little thicker he’d have won that
Beautiful
please upload jt vs lahclan giles
sooo, if i get taken down scramble for a long time and still end up in a bad position it means 0 points? interesting. There is a time limit on consolidatiting a position?
Great!
The gi is good for resets no one has to move just drag them to the middle of the mat.
Almost.
Fire match
JT is unreal.
Meh, the match shouldn't be stopped if there is a fully locked in sub attempt after the timer runs down, seems a bit stupid to me.
Wow dominant from JT
JT’s wrestling is better than most Jiujitsu guys
Finally a good match, why are adcc matches so boring and long
Liza Gonzalez if they’re go 10 minutes with a tie or no score or submission they go to overtime. Also they may seek long because once the points period begins, you get a -1 if you pull guard. So there’s more wrestling at adcc. One final reason is that really high level grapplers rarely make any mistakes. And this results in super close contests that are battles of inches and centimeters. The most exciting mismatches are in the opening rounds where the top seeds face the lower seeds. Once you get to the semi finals and finals it’s rare for matches to be “fun” and the worlds or adcc.
at 4:20 gordon ryan's father just chillin in the backround! was it on purpose? who knows :')
HAHHAHAHAHHAHAH, bro these commentators don’t know Judo/Japanese at all. Called a drop kouchi gari an “outside trip” and called an uchi mata a “harai goshi”
its been almost a full year since this match, it needs to go down again. Garry should be #1 at 77kg
That blows Gary had him at the end time limits suck sometimes
oh cry me a river, you salty fuckface
Sub only is the only way 💪🏻
These guys are just fucken incredible
Tonon's stand-up wrestling is better. More technical and fluid. But Torres uses solid basics and is defensive at all times, which kills a lot of Tonon's offense. Unfortunately it also makes the stand-up wrestling look boring due to all the stalling.
Tonon literally passed the torch fixed
9:14 awesome
