Thanks for mentioning the size you made on your sweater, very helpful. Your new fabrics are so nice and I especially love the needle cord 💚and the Shetland wool. Looking forward so seeing your makes with these fabrics. Bestie bags are so popular at the moment and I’ve had requests from my daughters so they are on my list! Thank you for the great vlog 😊
Lovely fabric haul! So many ideas ,, doesn’t that make your head spin! I have that burgundy herringbone type wool fabric. I was thinking of using the long version of the marlo cardigan to create a coatigan Love your bestie bag fabrics 💖 It’s good to see you back on form 🥰❤️
Loving your haul! I made a bestie bag with the leftovers from my puffer fabric (the animal print one). Such a great way to use up scraps of fabric! The black denim would be fab for bags x
Black denim would be perfect for a tote bag with leather handles 🥰. Great fabric haul 👍🏻👍🏻. Would be keen to hear about the results of your colour analysis. I’m also a shortie and belted clothes don’t suit me at all! X
Just finished my first Bestie Bag, love it but it's for a friend so need to cut myself one! Your quilted one is going to be fab. Some lovely fabric & good luck at trying not to buy more until the Stitch Festival as your coming down to frocktails and I've never managed to walk out of Make without any 🤣😂
Hi Claire, lovely fabrics, you have a good eye for choosing fabric. I tend to just go for plain and then wish I had the nerve to get something patterned. I totally agree that work gets in the way of sewing😂😂😂. I works 5 days a week and look after my grand daughter for another day, so have one day to do house stuff and a bit of sewing. But it's lovely to get in my sewing room with the dog even if it's just a. Couple of hours. Have a good week.
Not just me with a stack of fabrics that won't fit in the storage?? 😆 some also from the Rainbow Fabrics sale. I also got the free denim, not sure what to make her though :)
@@sarahblack8913 haha! I suspect there are a few of us like that 🤣 Someone suggested a tote bag to me with the denim, which I thought was a good idea 😀
Lovely fabrics, especially like the green needle cord, I was looking for a nice needle cord for another itch to stitch majorelle, dress version but running out of time for winter makes too. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the Julia sweater, I have just made it but yet to put the snaps on. It was quite straightforward and instructions OK, Andrea from BTPD has just done a tutorial. It's a really nice shape but I didn't like the elastic at the bottom. You need to fold it up to wear it and then you have a lot of fabric bunched up around the pockets so I took it out and did a straight hem.
Claire do you have enough of your cotton left over.....that would look good as your strap if you interlined it. All lovely fabrics as usual. The Makers Atelier Unlined Raw edged coat is a good pattern for boiled wool (I am also vertically challenged and it is very simple) X
@@libbykilpatrick1578 Hi Libby, I was going to use the canvas for the strap but I decided last minute to change it up for webbing as I thought webbing might be a bit more hard wearing. Thanks for the coat suggestion, I will check it out as I’ve not heard of that one before 🤗

Love your bestie bag plans. I'm the same with a head full of plans. Making lists helps me. Love the green for trousers 😍

Love your fabric haul. The green corduroy would make a beautiful pinafore.
@@debtaylor2387 oh that’s a thought, hadn’t considered that. Although it is quite lightweight for a pinafore 🤔

@@judithfletcher287 thanks so much, some great hints & tips there. What is the sizing like? Did you have to size up or down at-all?
@lovesredsews I made my usual size in Atelier Jupe, I made a 34/6, I think their sizing is quite generous
@@judithfletcher287 thank you, that’s good to know ☺️
