Love your waist coat and look forward to seeing your new makes. Use colour run sheets in your washing machine to stop the red running into the white fabric ❤
Some lovely makes, Claire. Love all your bright colours but I especially love your green Bestie bag. I’ve made a few of those and even bought the extension pack to make a small one (which i made and it is about the size of the other smaller bag you showed us). I really like the salmon pink webbing you’re planning to use too. I’ve had my eye on vest patterns recently too - having bought a rtw from M&S which I wear a lot. Good luck with your sewing this week 👍
Hi Claire you have been busy this week. Love your fabrics. I wish I was brave enough to wear them as they look fab on you. Happy sewing, have a good week.
Love the Bestie bags and the waistcoat, keen to give those a go soon. I finished my Julia sweater last weekend and I've worn it every day since, really like it. However I did not like the elastic at the bottom, it caused the fabric to bunch up around the middle, it looked really bulky and odd. I only shortened the arms, the length was perfect without the elastic. I not sure how easy it would be to shorten the length because of the pocket construction. Looking forward to seeing yours.
@@judithfletcher287 oh thank you, maybe I should hold off shortening it then & see how it turns out first! I might even make it in another fabric first to check the fit before I cut into the chunky teddy fabric ☺️
I love all your makes Claire, is the Bestie bag easy to sew, I’d love to try a bag but I’ve only been sewing for 16 months and I’m very nervous about trying a bag? Are there any other bag patterns you could recommend for a beginner? Thank you ❤❤
@@JanetteTaylor-q8x have you insert zips before as this might be tricky if not & there are a few bulky bits that I found I had to go slow over (I used my wheel manually on those bits). The top stitching of the bag base is slightly tricky but other than that, it’s relatively easy. Instructions are good. I reckon it can be done if you go slow & take your time. Otherwise I’d maybe start with a simple tote style bag

@ Thanks for replying Claire, I’ve only inserted a couple of zips, I try to avoid them if I can 🤣🤣, I’ll maybe start with a tote bag as you said. ❤️
