Our own perception is what shapes our feelings and emotions. When you counted your fabrics, I had never thought of that. So thanks, I just went and did it, and I have 65 and rarely think about it. Don't beat yourself up, just do what makes you happy. This is our hobby for fun :). I don't plan ahead, but in a sudden moment will shop my fabrics and dive into a project. Under my shopping routines, I rarely buy unless it is 60%-70% off as I know my preferred colours and textures. If I had to go shopping on demand, I would pay three times the price in the moment, so I am happy even if I don't use something for a few years.
I’m also deciding between the myosotis or a Hettie for some Minerva fabric I have. I’m trying to sew up my fabrics with a purple colour way with the hopes of getting a capsule wardrobe for Washington DC. I’m being over ambitious again as it’s only 3 weeks 😂.
Hi Claire, love all of your makes as always and your fabric choices are great. The Fabric Godmother box is a beauty, looks like a great pattern, can’t wait to see it made up. I think the pink cord fabric would look great as an Ilford jacket but may be a bit restrictive with what you could wear with it. ❤❤
Yep same here... 2 Drews done...2 Besties done.... Rydal jumpsuit done in ponte...time to make a dress to lighten things up.... your red stripes are fab in your sweatshirt.... do it...sew something fab ❤
Hi claire, your whippet top turned out fab, i now know what to do if i dont have quite enough for a sleeve. Your fabrics are lovely a usual, you will make some great garments. Have a good week.
You are going to be busy with those beautiful fabrics. The pink Corduroy would be great for a pinafore dress with navy or black jumper and tights underneath... to brighten up a dull winter day.
The Julia sweater looks good, it would be good to know how you find the green machine. The weather puts me off making dresses right now, but maybe it's time to plan for spring! The fabric godmother kit looks like a great in-between seasons make.
@@judithfletcher287 thank you. I might try & put together a vlog at some point about the green machine, once I’ve used it a bit more 😂 Yes the Fabric Godmother dress definitely looks like a good transitional dress 😀
What about the pinafore in the tatb book for the corduroy? Some beautiful fabrics. 😍 love seeing all the bestie bags, great for all the left over fabrics 😊
Loved watching your vlog with a cup of tea after a busy day. You a,ways manage to cram so much in. I’ve just nipped over to insta and followed your destash page 😜 Your hot pink corduroy looks stunning! Friday PC Bernadette skirt would look amazing! The blanca flight suit.. I think its sew tan hue made a gorgeous hot pink version. Do you have enough to make a trench length coat? You could literally make anything with it, you just have to feel bold enough to step out in it 🫵😍🩷
@@Julie_sews_her_own_clothes haha, thanks Julie. Some fab suggestions 😀 I mean I’m definitely one for colour but even this one stumped me. Lol. You are right though, it’s all about the confidence to wear it 🤩 I’d love to make the blanca flight suit but I definitely need to shift a few pounds first as I don’t think I’d feel comfortable wearing that one currently 😩
I often cut a smaller size on the shoulders, as I have a narrow back, and I find it perfect to get the correct fit. Love that bestie bag too.
@@nicky-Sewandsnip thanks Nicky. I have done it before but I got excited & thought I’d just cut this one as is 🤣
@ Yep I did exactly the same with the Tshirt i made last week 🤦♀️
The whippet top is a great jumper. Really works well 😊
@@louiseroberts9553 awww thank you so much 😀
