I've been having lots of fun livestreaming IRL skateboarding on Twitch follow along to catch me live :)
Previous Helga back and forth videos:

    • When a Beginner Skater...
In my journey of reacting to beginner skaters, one fellow creator and I have been having a little back and fourth. This is @HeglaUA-cam she made some videos learning to skate, I made some videos giving her some tips, and then she went off and applied those tips. But now I've been offering her advice behind the scenes to take her skating to the next level!

It's not only cool to see the commitment & progress (much respect to you @HeglaUA-cam !), but it's definitely also motivating & helpful for new skaters; given these are sincere vids that represent the journey realistically.

I seriously wish I was learning to skateboard in 2023. The amount of insights you can get just from a video like this make the sport much less intimidating to new skaters. That being said, I don't think I would trade the comradery and people I've met from putting myself out there and going to skateparks. I guess I'm happy to see skateboard reach new people and all the comments of people learning. It's the best activity.

she needs to do tic tacs to get skate muscle memory:) switches and 360s, everyone should. kinda confuses me seeing so many modern skaters wobbly on their boards and u know its cuz of no tictacking and movement pivots were learnt. really creates the shoulder, hip and legs to become one to leanr any other trick or movement

From my pov, you look like a star! I mean, the fearlessness (or so it seems, haha). I recently started myself (soon 34), and the fear of falling is what scares me to commit 100%. Then I see you, jumping up and down on the board, doing 180-twists and practicing shove its like it's nothing 🔥 On those shove its, I would've been so scared of landing wrong on the board and flipping over on my back. Which I've done while trying out powerslides when I couldn't even stand properly on the board. Fell right on my tailbone, and couldn't even roll on my back without it hurting for over 6 weeks. I know using the board as often as you can is probably the best. But here in Norway it's started to freeze on the streets, give it some weeks to a month and we will get snow. So, besides spending time on the board, have you used any other methods practicing your balance? Keep it up! Looking forward seeing your progression!

it begins with the thougth means that if you can imagine doing something it is possible...when you are confident about balance and speed remember to look where you want to go as your head will follow where you are looking at your sholders will follow so your hips will follow.,and hips dont lie..relax.enjoy

I always explain that "your head turns first so you can see where you're going, then your shoulders follow your head and turn to that direction and THEN your legs follow your shoulders and the board just comes along and you don't need to even try to do anything. You go where you want, and the board follows YOU."
    :)

what helped me level out my board while ollieing was moving my feet so they cover the bolts but put my foot at an angle so only 3 bolts are showing that way it almost forces the board to level out and wrap my back foot around the back tip of the tail
