Jeepers Creepers was a breath of fresh bloody air when I first saw it back in 2001.
Yeah then I hear about it's director which soured it a bit. I love the fact that it has LORE but it is nebellous and lost entirely to Human memory.
Each Movie has gotten progressively worse as the fraNchise proceeded'/!!!

Yes!!! The first one is the best! That scene where Justin long lot up the underground area with all the bodies made me think of diablo 1's the butcher. Played the crap out of that game back then.
Can The Creeper be killed? Two words. WOOD. CHIPPER. Just wait until he goes into hybernation, take his cocooned body, and feed it through an industrial wood chipper, so that all that is left is creeper mulch. Then take the creeper mulch to a crematorium and have them cremated. Mix the ashes with cement mix, which is then put in a bucket, mixed with water, and allowed to harden. Then take the bucket of hardened creeper cement to the middle of the ocean, to where the ocean is deepest, and throw it overboard. If The Creeper can still regenerate after all of that, I would be VERY surprised.
doesnt he have some sort of exoskeleton? i feel like the chipper would break. id imagine while cocooned he has a harder shell too
@@DiplomatOfDirt He didn't really look like it at the end of Part 2. In fact, The Creeper looked kind of "mummified". Plus, he was able to sustain damage in all three movies. He just repaired the damage by eating more victims. He can't do that while hibernating. So I'm pretty sure he can be wood chippered. And cremated.

I feel like that's being too nice about Reborn. Jeepers creepers is that good good. Jeepers creepers 2 was also good good but then we had the come down and Jeepers creepers 3 was the Reggie which did something but it just wasn't the same high nor did it come close and finally Reborn was just seeds and sticks that were grinded up with some Reggie roaches thrown in as filler and sold to us under the guise of being the new good good but turned into good God I think I'm dying from smoking this crap.

What made the first Jeepers so scary was the fact that the monster hunted in the daylight too. Meaning you are never truly safe
I loved that first movie and yeah you're right. No real escape
And he won't stop until he gets what he wants
And the fact we had never seen the monster before so the suspence was much greater than the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th movie.

The opening scene in number 2 inside the cornfield used to scare the absolute shit out of me when I was 10 and I had to keep looking away aha
For me it was hearing Billy screaming _”DADDY!!!”_ right before the Creeper flew away with him, that scene still twists me up to watch. I know Darry got the same fate and a few others in 2 but Billy was a kid. Seeing Taggart going full Ahab on the Creeper at the end was so cathartic … and I’m _still_ pissed off we got Reborn and not a continuation, 3 while flawed hinted at Trish finally showing up to do her part and avenge her brother. Hell I read initially 3 was going to be about Trish, 23 years after the first movie, having to protect her son (also named Darry) with the help of the Taggarts! Instead we get … Creeper has to eat a super-special unborn baby so he can be super-special unkillable and gets killed by a pregnant teenager who just so happens to be a badass at throwing stars … they didn’t even bring back Robert Breck!
While it was certainly the weakest one (pre-reboot) I think now we all owe 3 an apology 😒😒😒

The ending scene in number one haunted me for a while. Shows the Creepers lair and you can hear Darry screaming out in pain in the background as the Creeper dissects him. Then the camera pans to Darrys carcass with the eyes freshly cut out while his face is stuck with an expression of complete terror and his mouth wide open as he died screaming.
@@LadyLeomon That scene was in the TV trailer for the movie, it stuck in my mind for months too. I felt so bad for that kid and always wondered what the Creeper wanted off of him.

The Creeper sure did start out strong, but with the combined weight of bad sequels and the creator being a real-life creep, i think this franchise's better days are well behind it.

I must disagree. The creeper never considered taking Trish. She displayed qualities it finds abhorrent. It smells what it wants from fear. Trish showed courage and power when she told the Creeper to take her all while Darry was held in terror. The creeper would never have gone for her in such a moment.
I seen someone say the reason he didn't take Trish is because at the beginning she was chewing on her prescription glasses so her eyes wasn't strong like derrys and the creepers eyes was going bad
It wasn't courage.
He wanted to improve his body, in this case, it's his eyes. Trish has bad eyes, he can sense that, can tell whether he wants something from her through her fear scent. So he only sees her as an obstacle to overcome to get his target, Darry.
Trish showed multiple times her eyes are actually really bad, she saw a stop sign that wasn't there, she misread license plates because her eyes seem to be blurry and nearsighted.
Even at the beginning of this video, Darry saw the creeper throwing bodies down the well all the way from the road.

First one was the best one by far. There's a magic about those old horror movies that can't seem to be replicated nowadays...
The fact that a horror movie made in 2001 is considered one of "those old horror movies" is just sad.
To me the original Dracula, Frankenstein, The mummy, The fly and Wolfman along with other great horror films of the error are old horror movies. I just can't mentally balance out any horror movies made after 2000 being considered an "old horror movie".

@JoeTroyy the original Halloween and Friday the 13 were and are still great movies the leprechaun less so but it did have a very young and hot Jennifer aniston in it so there's that lol but movies from the late 90s to present rely so heavily on CG that it just takes something away from the visceral experience of watching real practical effects and costumes and make up.
The original thing was a nail biter even though you didn't actually see the alien until the very end and even the Kurt Russell remake was amazing and still holds up fairly well to this day thanks to the practical effects used that today are considered to much work and to expensive when you can just pay a team of programmers to sit around in a room for 6 months living on redbull and pez and pay a fraction of what practical effects would have cost. That allows them to not have to deal with the challenges of things not always working right the first time or bad weather and a million other things that can screw up a shoot.
Its cost effective but I think the movie losses something in the process.

The original Jeepers Kreepers ending shocked my cousin and I to our core when we were teens and we both wouldn't have it any other way! It was brilliant seeing the bad guy win because at that time most horrors/thrillers had a somewhat 'happy finale' always. It was fresh seeing something different.
First one good. Second one great. Then downhill.

And for some reason the Creeper wants the main character’s super-special unborn baby so he can be super-special unkillable and every time he dies a massive murder of crows (led by a super special white, red-eyed crow) appear and spirit his body away … FFS at one point the main girl stabs him in the eyes with throwing stars and asks “how do you like those peepers?”

@@xx-toodirty4you_xx829 I know I sounded snarky with how I worded it (I heard another reviewer use the phrasing and thought it was funny), 3 is still the weakest of the original trilogy, a lot of it was confusing (I honestly didn’t catch that the farm lady was the mother of the boy from the “prom couple” in the first movie until I saw another UA-camr point it out), but I think it could’ve worked as maybe a 20 minute short movie until 4 … sadly that will never be (the director is a POS but the original Creeper will always be iconic)

@@LadyLeomon ohhh nah it’s cool i understand it’s not that bad of a phrase, pretty much sums up the movie in a way. speaking of that farm lady, didn’t her son get killed by the creeper? i remember it being showcased sometime around the end of the movie but im not entirely sure. that part confused me also. im glad we won’t get anymore projects by that sick director but if i remember correctly, he doesn’t give consent into giving other directors the use of his ideas and capabilities of the creeper which probably explains why the 4th movie was so bad and most likely any other future movies would be horrible as well.

That really was the biggest scare I'd ever experienced in a movie up that the point. I watched "The Ring" in theaters that very same night. Jeepers Creepers was so Lovecraftian in the beginning. I didn't know that at the time, so I couldn't artiulate the kind of dread it instilled in me.

Honestly i loved Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers 2. I saw Jeepers Creepers 3 and i was like the Creeper just died in my heart. Then the new rendition of it came out and i was my god who ever thought this was a great film doesnt even know and has never ever seen a great film in their lives!

It's a shame we got cheated with the 3rd and 4th one. This series could have been incredible. I was terrified of the creeper when I was a kid, scared to go outside at night always looking to the sky. I was eager to find out how the story would progress, especially finding out more info on the creeper. Currently, it doesn't look like we'll get the answers we want
The closing of Jeepers Creepers 2 and how it setup its follow up film is perfect you know what’s coming it gives the relevant follow up info and lets you know it’s about to start again any moment now especially since he’s lost track of the days stating it’ll all start again in 3 days give or take a day or two ugh such a good scene

They need to make an open world Jeepers Creepers Game!! Where you can have the choice to play as the creeper through his life cycle and story line with a plethora of side stories and quests! Or play as a custom human character that has to try and survive the main story line dealing with the creeper! As well as spontaneous attacks from him throughout the free roam game play. And either after beating the game the first time, or as a default at the very beginning of the game, you can customize the Creepers appearance when you choose to play as the creeper instead of the human! And you can unlock and upgrade abilities to take parts from people you kill to heal and improve your body and help to unlock new abilities!! And the His truck will be available to dive and store collected bodies! You get to unlock the ability to fly! At first your flight will be imperfect! But the more you improve the ability, and upgrade it, you will have perfect flight and can flight very fast and very high around cities and the woods! Just an idea!

This is probably one of the biggest "seperate the artist from the art" arguments ever. Victor Salva is a man who something bad. However, the first two movies were unquestionably the best in the franchise. They should've continued with his vision after buying the rights. My gaming friends and I watched JC2 and after the movie, we talked about the ending. We pretty much decided that if we captured the creeper like they did. We would have hacked it into parts, burned them, sealed what was left in concrete and buried the parts around the country, maybe even rent a boat and drop them at sea.

Hi! I actually got to work on the latest Jeepers Creepers Movie! It was a great time working on it as the original was one of the scariest movies to me as a kid. It came full circle getting to work on it! Newest movie may have not been the best, but still I have good memories from that work I did!
I can't watch these movies anymore, they were my mom's favorite horror films and she would re-watch the first two films everyday. God I miss her. I'm not ready to watch it again yet but great films non the less.
There are so many iconic scenes in the 1st (and even 2nd) movie. Throwing the body down the pipe, the mural of dead bodies sewn together, the creeper killing the cops and eating one's tongue, when they go to the elderly cat lady's house with the scarecrow, and of course poor Darry and his peepers at the end 😢. 2nd movie all the scenes of the creeper sniffing out his victims and using his throwing stars made of human bodyparts and Minxie's psychic ability, the Creeper replacing his entire head, and we get more back-story too. Then it was all downhill after that in the 3rd and 4th movies 😂.

I was 9 years old when i slept over my cousins house and they told me they rented scary movie called jeepers creepers we watched it in the living room and after it ended it was almost midnight so my cousin went to their rooms to go to sleep i had to sleep in the living room where they had a huge sliding door that let u see into the backyard. I was absolutely terrified the whole night i kept thinking the creeper was watching me from the outside or pictured him standing right outside the the glass door to this day im still mad they left me out there haha.
I think Jeepers creepers the first movie what's the first movie that pulled horror out of the 90s vibe and into the early 2000s. It just feels different from what came before it in such a big way, it's hard to explain

It was very original and a surprise hit when it came out. I was slowly starting to get tired of movies around that time (it ended in 2010, and I havne't watched much movies since then- maybe 5 or 6), but Jeepers Creepers had me on the edge of my seat for the enitre movie.
The other one since 2000 that was really a surprise hit, was Cabin Fever.
This movie got me good . My sisters ans and I saw a truck like the creepers truck in a ditch right after watching this movie
Richard's voice is so soothing, he just has some great narration skills to listen to.
The guy who made the movies was an awful human being, but God damn he made an amazing, scary series that gives me chills to this day. I’m so pissed that after the second movie, they made some really shitty straight to video sequels.
What makes the first movie so iconic was the pasing and the actor who played the creeper. No stupid hard cut's, no stupid overtuned greenscreen cgi, no stupid deaths...and most importantly: they let the movie ending bad and let the mystery of the creeper open. The moment the creeper extend his wings and this weird head things for the first time, was so nice and wtf moment that i remember it still to this day.
I remember they showed this movie on public tv channel in early 2000s when i was a kid and overhearing my uncles friend (50+ year old doctor) telling him that he could not sleep for weeks because of it

Its a shame people couldn’t disconnect the movie from the horrible acts of the director. Yes what he did was awful and he should be in jail but the people who are involved and were innocent who put time and hard work into it don’t deserve to be punished by not supporting the movie.

Yeah yeah this is getting old. We get it. He's a creep. He did his time and had his rep destroyed. So good riddance to bad rubbish. But don't forget these movies are a LOT of talented people not just the director. Philips and Long were amazing in that first movie, not to mention Breck. They don't deserve to be lumped in with him and should be acknowledged for their talents.

I'm genuinely curious to see if anybody else has realize this or not. The creeper comes about every 23 years and the first Jeepers creepers film was released in 2001 so it's safe to assume that the events of the first three films at least take place within the year of 2001. Now if you go back the 23 years it's 1978 where the creeper killed Kenny and Darla from Wheaton valley high. But the thing about it is if you go back even further than that if you count down 23 years every 23 years you'll eventually get to zero. Meaning that the creeper quite possibly was around during biblical times and I wonder if the creation of the creeper coincides with the death of Jesus. I've always felt that he was human and was cursed to live this way. For example, what if he was responsible for the death of Jesus, what if he was Judas. Maybe he was condemned to hell the moment that he died and he may have made a deal with a demon to stay alive so that he wouldn't go to hell but now he's cursed and has to eat the flesh of man to live to keep himself from being sent to hell. At first he may have tried feasting on certain types of animals and that's why he has the appearance he does now but eventually his hunger grew beyond his control and now he eats humans.
It was 2002 and my cousin asked me to watch this new scary movie she rented. I rolled my eyes cuz I was so tired of scary movies at the time, they were all the same and had the same dumb tropes over and over. We start watching Jeepers Creepers 1 and the first 20 minutes creeped me out so bad it became one of my top horror movies and still is to this day. The lore behind the creeper is so sick too. When commercials came out for the second movie I was sooooo pumped, it was another great monster movie but the first has a special place in my heart.
Not a cannibal since not human, he would have to eat other creepers to be a cannibal.

What a waste of
I drive down the road the original car chase with Justin Long was filmed on several times a week. It's really a beautiful drive. And just over the pastures and the woods is the Rainbow River, one of the clearest and most scenic rivers in the world. The entire length of the stream that runs alongside that road is a state park and full of tubers, kayakers and boaters year round.

i choose to believe that its a parasite of some sort, whether an alien or a ancient organism, it dont really matter. but the webbed part on the back of the head staying when he ripped his head off and restored form the kid kinda gives the impression that the back bit is a seperate lifeform keeping it alive that goes down its spine and the wings are attached to that.
Something that a lot of people missed ( including myself) is that Trish holds up a pair of pescription glasses in the car,( at the beginning of the movie) suggesting her eye sight is poor.This is why the creeper throws her aside later on in the movie.
Saw this first when i was 13. It was just a whole other level of scary.
Ive always loved the creeper character design and hate that victor salvas reputation mightved doomed the series. I also feel that the creeper is more vampire like than anything else. If i had to design a modern dracula the creeper seems like what that would end up being

I saw the original Jeepers Creepers two years ago, it was so so silly and fun! I really enjoyed it, and would recommend it to anyone who likes monster movies.

Man I caught both good Jeepers Creepers movies in the theater and they’re some of the best new horror movies of the past 20 years. We’ve been waiting on a proper follow up but it looks like that’s never gonna happen
I remember for like a week being in bed and fricking out at any little sound during the night after watching this
Jeepers creepers just needed to be a 3 series movie and that's it. It's crazy because I'm a biggggggg j.c fan, and I'm lowkey embarrassed to say that to people. Due to the last 2 "movies" are horrible and the director is a pedo. When I say I'm a big fan to people I have to make sure 1. They know I only like the first two. 2nd: I don't support Victor only J.C

Not many franchises have been more harmed by its creators' real life than this one. I was HYPED after JC2. Then I learned the story of the guy and it... Eh harmed my enthusiasm.

Love the theory that the creature is a parasite, made up of strictly the hood and wings, would explain sooo many things. Reminds me very much of the Scorn monster that is attached to the spine. Maybe Jeepers Creepers was an inspiration?

Jeepers creepers 2 was honestly my favorite one. Most realistic creeper in that one and I liked the actors

Good God creepers 4 looks terrible. I know people don't like 3 for various reasons, but it's Oscar worthy when compared to 4. Reborn doesn't even look like a movie. it looks like a shitty evanescence copycat band music video. It's a shame too, cause conceptually, the creeper is a really good movie monster.

I feel like a movie version of the comics could be amazing. The first one was dope, the second one was great, but everything after that sucked.
Man 1 and 2 were so good. 3 was so dumb, the truck was the stupidest part, him having force like powers with the axe is next.
