+Rob Paylor ahh yes, that will be a problem then unless you open up the boat and rewire it. You'd need a new receiver in the boat with a spare channel.

Yup not fancying that with the cat mate lol. You should make a few boats like yours available, it's a very nicely done thing 👍

Hello Dave, firstly i just wanted to commend you on such a cool boat! in word, wow! I have always wanted to build a boat but have no knowledge in RC things, i am also not exactly loaded and guess yours cost a fair bit. Do you think it'd be possibly to build cheaper and simpler model somewhere along the lines of the waverunner shuttle but for less than the £380 retail price? i ask because id be happy to have a go at making my own but if its the same price as the waverunner ill just save up and buy that!? Thanks in anticipation!

+David Wilson Hi Dave, thanks for your comments. I'm sure you could build a boat for that price, just using a couple of motors and props, instead of the pumps. But if you've not built one before and have no knowledge of RC things, maybe the Waverunner would be a better option. It'll be a lot less hassle and probably be a lot more reliable in the long run. This is my MK4 boat; I've learnt a lot of lessons build them over the years and if I could somehow transfer this knowledge to you, i'd say build one but as that's not possible, you're probably better off buying one.

+cheesybike Hi Cheesy, thanks!! Personally, I wouldn't bother with the lights, I have a light fitted to mine and I don't use it as it just booms up all the sediment in the water and makes it look cloudier than it actually is. Unless you're going to use you boat at night? I run mine on 4s Lipo batteries and it's driven by Rule 1100gph bilge pumps. Same as the Microcat.

      Thanks for quick reply .
was thinking of going lipo and have been looking at the bilge pumps but wasn't sure on there output/thrust
but have to learn a little bit more on electrics for boat as using boat already assembled.
but have fitted my osd and using small lipos for cam and radio and fish finder at the moment.
but thanks again. this all started for me with your first video.
      keep up the good work.
do you have a electrical drawing by any chance.
thanks again ,and keep the vids coming .

Hey Dave, I did comment on one of your other vids. I've been messing around with FPV on my boats for a year or so but nowhere near your level! Interested to know how to run a two camera switchable system though? Not interested in OSD but be good to have the forward facing camera and underwater one that can be switched. Any advice? Cheers! Rob

+Rob Paylor Hey Rob, it's easy. You just run your two cameras through an RC camera switcher. Like this: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FPV-Camera-3-Channel-Video-Switcher-Module-switch-RC-Quadcopter-heli-boat-/131587446615?hash=item1ea3391757

+Dave Mattock ah ok Dave thanks mate, says it utilises a spare channel on the handset, presumably the switcher needs to be wired to the radio gear in the boat, which is a problem with a sealed AT Microcat and their 'secret electronics' lol
