This setup works for Xfinity really well too. Little loose towards end of run, but I've struggled at phoenix until now. Thanks for this brilliant setup
Just starting to run heat 5 again in a custom setup league. Used this setup and loved it. Run 50% with stages and was able to run last 2 stages without putting. And being able to shift to 4th during last stage helped me save fuel and actually got my first ever league win. And was a last lap, last corner pass just before the stripe win. Thank you for putting in the time to come up with the setups.
Your setups don’t miss man and they still hold up today, got my first rookie championship and now I’m dominating in my second season with a 5star team with these setups
Great work as usual, your mic sounds a lot better. My best lap time is 26.1 for the last setup. I'll be trying this out tomorrow for sure. Amazing work man, you're a God send.
Thank you f***ing jesus. I have no idea why in the hell they decided to have the most important race of the year on one of the dumbest and toughest tracks on the schedule. But thank you!
This setup just helped me shave half a second off my fastest lap time. Still almost a second slower than you, but good enough to deal with the AI. You're a lifesaver!
Thanks! I used this setup in the career Xfinity mode and it easily shaved a half second off my times and got the cup easy! The only difference I made was to run the gears in 1: 2.5 2: 2.0 3: 1.1 4: 1.0 R: 3.89 But only because I like shifting through the corners for fun :>
Great setups man! I usually use these to get a good starting point and then make a few changes here and there to loosen it up a bit to fit my driving style.
Congrats on the win! I definitely plan on doing setups for the new game, but with the new physics engine, I'm gonna have to learn all about the new physics, so be patient, and expect that I will probably have to revise and update setups as I learn more about the new physics engine.
The Phoenix setup isn't great on short runs, but when everybody else starts sliding around, you'll still be making good lap times! If you find yourself needing a short run setup for the end of a stage or the race, go down a couple of clicks on the wedge. Good Luck!
Used this as a base. But had to drop the Bump n Rebounds down to 3 clicks all around, then drop the wedge to 51.0" . It was too tight all around. And with these adjustments, I was able to get into the corners better, won the pole with a 26.525 (Im on pc, playing a controller)
Thank you so much #thesetupman it has been hard to drive in Phoenix until now, Thank you for your all that you do, all your setups make #HEAT5 much better. also i hope they fix #NASCAR21IGNITION.. i was happy for it but i saw your live stream and i feel the same .. the game is a mess and they should of more done more testing . hopefully Patches soon!. Have a Great Day 😁
yeah, idk what the programmers had in mind. I guess cuz it's the championship race they make it harder.. could be a little less competitive imo to make it more like a real Phoenix race
1 and 2 is great but idk if it’s me or the car i just struggle on to three and off of turn four. it feels fine i’m just slow for some reason. love the setups
Pheonix has been killing me, & on most tracks I find I have difficulty qualifying. I race career cup/xfinity with a controller, on hard settings, 25% X4, & as for assist I’m only using like 20 on four of them. I know it can slow you down... but I was finding myself getting reaaaaaaally loose especially toward the end of a run on tracks & I would be forced to slow down or wipe out. You really seem to know what you’re doing so I’m curious if your setups would work for me w my settings/using a controller. & also just any suggestions at all I’m here for my biggest issue is the qualifying, & occasionally my right front tire wants to go out 3-4 laps early so I started lowering the tire pressure.. which slows you down. Lol. It’s a lot & I’m glad to have found you, if you have Twitter we can message there if that’s easier💯 hope to hear from you & learn some things✊🏼
I don't have Twitter, but I do try to respond to comments. I have friends that run my setups on controllers and they seem to work well for them, so you shouldn't have a problem using a controller on this one. Try this setup, and you should have pretty even tire wear.
That's not surprising. The Cup cars are much looser, so you need a tighter setup for them. If you put a Cup setup in a Truck, it will be much tighter, so it makes sense that the right front would burn up pretty quick. Try going down on the sway bar and wedge and see if that helps.
This setup is easier to drive it handles pretty well.. I am in career mode so my first car is shite.. any suggestions on how to make it 🤔 a little faster.. maybe my timing is a little off at this track.. it's kinda tricky...
Glad you like the setup. You're right about how bad the cars are when you first start your career. The only advice that I have is to keep clicking up on the gear ratio until the engine rpms get really close to the redline at the end of the straight stretches. At the start of your career, the engines are so weak in the cars that you lose a ton of time on the straights. I think this setup has a 3.40 rear end ratio. Move it to a 3.50, then a 3.55, then a 3.60, etc. until those engine rpms are basically at the red line at the end of the front stretch. It won't put you in victory lane, but it will definitely help!
These videos are awesome find them a great starting point to tweak around while im learning to tune better. Question tho seems like sometimes when i adjust things that if i let of the gas car goes right and wants to push me up into the wall. Idk why its happening
@@theset-upman3500 usually juat track bars and springs. Maybe wedge to tighten up the cars a bit since im on contoller. Usually dont mess with offset. Will try that also might have some drift in my joystick so ill mess with the deadzone a little. Appreciate the response!
@@mistertoastyryeguy4446 this one really has me stumped. Does it die this at all tracks, or just a few? Does it happen when you're on the brake, or when you're off the throttle and coasting, or both??? If it's just when you're on the brake, maybe try a lower brake bias, or turning on the brake smoothing in the setting s menu.
What's crazy about having a good setup at Pheonix allows you to actually learn how to drive the track. I raced a slider in an online lobby yesterday that allowed custom, and lapped the lobby
I love your channel but this set up was really Frickin tight, couldn't even rotate the center without having at least 5 cars pass me while I'm trying to turn it.
This setup is definitely one of the tighter ones that I've made. That's because Phoenix is so hard on the right rear tire and because the car can get loose really early in the run if you don't start off tight. If it's too tight for your to drive, try going down on the front sway bar 1-2 clicks and it should loosen the car up significantly.
I struggled with the tightness and went down 2 clicks on the swaybar and it helps for about 6 laps, then the AI was like hey look at me I GOT ALL THE GRIP
How come the best I can seem to run is 26.7 with this exact setup? I play on x3 fuel and tire wear does that matter? I mean I can hit the line perfect and still be about 3 mph slower than u coming out the turn
There could be a couple of reasons. First, if you have any assists turned on, they will slow you down. The assists make the car easier to control, but slower. So, if you have assists turned on, try turning them off. Second, if you're in Career Mode and you're not in a 5 star car, or if you own your own team and you're not at 100% on all components of the car, you'll be slower. Those are the only reasons I can think of that would make you a full second slower with the same setup.
I have a video for this. Please check out my channel and subscribe to make it easier to see my videos when you're searching. Also, all of my vides are easy to find on my website. I'd try it with a controller and if it doesn't work for you, then go up on 1 on the slider scale, or try running the same slider, but going up on the wedge. @@theset-upman3500 I was only asking because my lap times are no where near my competition I started with a 3 too snug so I bumped up to 6 raising the wedge we run X2 at 50%
I despise Phoenix. Massive understeer in every corner, and it's as if the AI never has to slow down for corners so if you slow down they just breeze past you. Doesn't help it's the final championship race.
Phoenix is a b!#@h for sure. The lap times for the AI don't slow down much at all as their tires wear, and your car want to get insanely loose early in the run. That's why I had to make this setup really tight - Just to make the tires last and make the setup drivable later in the fuel run.
I just want to say I have watched all of your vids at LEAST 3 times (having to delete the game for random reasons) and everytime I come back it never saves my thumbs up.
