@@sunshinesun121 Sime Darby always greedy! BYD made a wrong move to partner them. BYD should have sold the cars themselves directly to the market. Heard from some Sime Executives their vehicle companies are all doing bad. Thus the share prices dropped like 25%?
Totally agree, they dropped the EVO 12 in 1 platform with 230kW charging capability which is offered in China and Europe instead putting the same Seal platform for right hand drive version. What a shame.

RM184K is on the "HIGH SIDE". If BYD wants to be competative to the like of LeapMotor , Xpeng, GWM, Geely . 2025 will be interesting as more models of EV will be entering ASEAN.
This is their premium line so the price reflects that. For more affordable suv there is already the atto 3

How the size or interior space compare to Xpeng G6?
I personally prefer the G6 which have better quality in seats, fixtures , buttons, etc.

At this price range, instead of buying "half a car" I highly suspect consumers with the budget may just go for the Omoda C9 which is a "full" car and call it a day. More luxurious, more quality real car materials, higher segment and more space, better looking, better second hand value and no range anxiety.

Interesting, for 2 of them within the same price bracket it'll be interesting to see how the market reacts - One is more of a tech-y crowd, runabout the city in style, and maybe the other would like nothing more than a familiar car for use to travel out of state or not, its also fine
Just imo maybe the BYD makes the C9 look dated, maybe Jaecoo would undercut the Sealion some more, putting it in the ballpark of..the Xpeng. Such a saturated market now 😮
