I bought the Rubicon Recon in December in 6speed manual my first Chrysler product not sure on their automatic transmissions and especially the new 8speed automatics

I won’t do another 4-door. Going back to the 2-door and a Rubicon this time. Always went Sport and did my own buildup, but also like the new Rubi.
..4 door is underpowered cuz of the additional 500 lbs on the wheelbase..same engine as the two door and there's only 1 engine option..3.6L V-6..
I like they moved the rear window wiper to the bottom of the glass. I hated all that real estate it took up in my 2015.
When the soft top leaks on these at the header bar they always do, the dash design puddles and catches the water more than the jk and actually direct water to electrical dash components. Wait and see...first recall. Its a fiat now. Color match dash ghey
Ohhh my... The door stoppers, I don't know what is Chrysler doing, but it was much better in 06 ram then on 13 ram. I know it seems like bs nitpicking, but i do use my door every time i sit in. They made door much less heavy so they made smaller door stoppers, what they just took a guess? lol...Now every little wind blow or pitch just slams them open. I wish i can be beta tester, because i do like everything i can notice and recognize they do well and i sure hate to see it worse.

Think about it. Much of the engine wear is when you start it. This has a start/stop system. Think your maintenance cost will be higher?
That is a big ass Key Fob. I just bought a new 2018 JK Rubicon, just could not justify the cost of the JL. Maybe in a few years I will upgrade once they work out all the bugs.
I still Like a Key and the Auto engine stop feature sucks! But the JL is cool and better in a lot of ways.

The back side windows on that hardtop come out also I think and the roof panels up front are lighter so it's easier to remove them.

I don't believe the rear windows on the hard top are removable. Only on the sliding power top option.

I like my jk way better (2 door rubicon) i dont like any of the new feature to be honest and the hood i prefer my posion spyder hood louver over that hood. (Good video) And i feel they are going way over on pricing!

They trying to make a Grand Cherokee ????. Nice interior but again no engine for the unlimited still stuck whit that V6 how about a V8 for the unlimited as option. I put my Rubicon on the scale hit 5400 lb stock. 4 door Ram 5600 lbs ish. What next mud snow for 4x4 selector. All the Gadget are fine for the asphalt warrior but i always said you should be able to get a Rubicon like a base modle sport with the power train package of the Rubicon. I'll keep my JK thanks and my TJ 😛

David Van Voris exactly, insurance is high, fixing it is expensive as well. Taking the doors off and top off is a pain in the ass. If it has become easier I wouldn’t know.

Someone is going to duplicate the grill from the JL to put it on a JK just give it some time. Interior is nice but you are stuck with Factory radio from what I see which in the JL isn’t really a bad choice since Chrysler has improved the radio system. For the price difference and the fact I would still stay with my v6 like the new JL I can save the 5,000 plus price difference and use that money for a 10th anniversary front & rear bumper a small lift and New 35’s with rims and still have a little left over for some lights and build out my JK
Heck even buy an aftermarket hood for 450 plus paint it to match and my jeep would look great
yea rubiclunk on instagram already put a JL grille on his JK and like you said you arent going to want to change out that factory radio. I would just save your money and build your jk in the long run

Don’t know about the JK looking like a piece of junk next to it, though I know you were kidding. I prefer it’s more traditional Jeep look over the more radical looking JL, same goes for the interior. To each his own of course. They are pricing the Jeep out of a lot of people price range, but right into someone else’s so Chrysler doesn’t care they will still sell like hot cakes.

Jeep is a cashcow and people will keep buying because there is no competitor. I would love to see an economy model closer to the size of the original Willys and without the superfluous electronic systems. As long as FIAT has it, there will never be one.
