I have never seen this one before. Loved the movie and the Sheriff's moral uprightness. He was a bit too lenient for me, which caused him a lot of grief in the long run, but definitely a man of conviction. Also loved the fact that he reloaded his gun. If I'm watching a western and the cowboy shoots his six shooters over six times without reloading, it ruins the whole movie for me and shut it off. Thought Dan Duryea did a good job. But not as good as he did in "Ride Clear of Diablo".
Tony Young, "Taggart". Enjoyed that one as a kid. Anyone can tell me why we don't see 'Six Black Horses' with Audie Murphy and Dan Duryea? We can see their 'Ride Clear of Diablo' movie. They made a third western together, which starred James Stewart, 'Night Train' or something like that. Enjoying this one, which I've seen a couple times before, in my youth.
Pretty decent movie . With lots of twists & turns . Heaps of Skullduggery & all the usual & unexpected story lines weaving in & out . The Marshall & Old Dr werecthe rreal stars here .
Madelyn Rhue was married to Tony Young from 1962 thru 1970 , sadly from 1977 till her death in 2003 she was suffering from Multiple Sclerosis which disabled her where she could only get around in her wheelchair ... this talented beautiful woman left us at a very young age of 68 due to pneumonia in '03 .... R.I.P. Madelyn Rhue 🌟🙏
She guest starred in one of my favourite "Star Trek" episodes. The one that gave us 'KHAN' (Ricardo Montalban). She loved Khan and left the Enterprise with him and some followers for a supposedly fertile planet. (Many years later we found out about that planet in 'Star Trek 2, The Wrath of'...you know who.
Tony Young seemed ideal for a bankable Western hero.....but his good looks and sexy voice could not compensate for his complete lack of screen presence. Dan Duryea, though, lacked the looks and had an unattractive voice, but he was invariably a scene-stealer even when allocated a minor role in both TV series episodes and films.
Carl Reindel, the cattle owner's son, plays a bad guy once again. He plays a bad guy all too well. Leads you to believe that he isn't actually playing but is this way in real life.
I've seen many, but this one twist and turns only a writer in the 60's could have navigated I recognized the Owner of the Ranch and the Kid killed in the beginning on Gunsmoke I also recognized the main killer [ instigator ] I give it B -
Lep Gordon was Old in this [ the Man Matt shoots in the begining of Gunsmoke ] Dan Duryea has always been the ruthless type in all of his films as a Gangster too
I wish Life now a day was this simple & Good -I don't recall the sherriff tony young in ther westerns But I liked him--also I really like dan duryee-he makes a Funny bad guy !!!
well, story had alot of holes in it, one of the very obvious holes the final scene had the bar full of the rustlers then suddenly theirs only 3 guys left he has to fight, what the hell happened to the other 12 varmints, can anyone else name the other inconsistencies?
It is a really traditional western movie in which good defeats evil being different from spaghetti one. It is very wicked of her lover to make love with her and steal her husband's money and cattles and run away with her and hand over her to Indians not to fight against them.
I don’t believe that I’m going to watch this movie. I don’t like the way it starts out with a smart mouth talking kid with a toothpick hanging out of his mouth. His acting was a bit too obvious.😅And then Dan Durea entering the stable and inquiring in a friendly voice if anyone could shoe his horse 🐴 and Tony ignored him until he recognized who he was. It appears that it’s going to be filled with a lot of unpleasant people and I’ve got better things to do than to waste my time spending it with people I don’t like. 😬😬😬👎👎👎

Hate hollywood movies that make the gun the Villain. Take a good movie and at the last moment make a political statement. Why not kiss his gun, do a couple fancy gun flips, then slowly put back in the holster. Strut over, pause, kick him in the teeth to make sure he's dead, get on your horse and ride off into the night. The End. Oh! No ......the big bad gun made him kill. So why then did he thank the doc? It was the docs fault for not doing what he was told. Some people just need killing. No need to get emotional about it.
Tony Young was under contract with Universal and made a few B westerns. I remember being in a movie house way back in the day, having to endure a Young western on the bottom bill of a double feature. A Universal western, no less. It was cheaply made and generally hideous. A woman seated close by rolled her eyes everytime Young appeared in a scene. What rubbish! Young, especially, was a terrible actor. He faded quickly! ♐
I respect your comment Aladdin , but Tony Young was a good actor , not excellent but definitely not terrible .... my Pop loved him on the short-lived western series "The Gunslinger" , I personally loved him as a good ,versatile character actor with more than 65 television & film credits under his belt 👍
Dan Duryea. Always the perfect bad guy. Very few could play a bad guy like he did.
@@TonyDaSilva-u6e Yeah_ha😀. He had that personality & face.
Always enjoyed movies with Dan Duryea
Very good movie. Duryea is one of my favorite villans.
this is the best western I have seen in UA-cam. Thank you so much for shating

Love these old westerns
Super great movie. 👍👍👍
Thank you for uploading.
Bad man Dan Duryea really bad. The great actor you love to hate. Very good movie. Thanks for sharing.
Dan Duryea is a Villain in most of his plays, have someone ever see him as the good one ?
He is such an entertaining actor. I really like him.
@@lordmountbatten154Ride Clear of Diablo with Audie Murphy . He is an outlaw but stays true to Audie . Great movie .

Fantastic. Great cast too.
Great film👍👍👍
Great Film enjoyed it......
Great western thank you
Good one👍it started kind of slow and mostly on stage but turned out to be adventurous. To me it was kind of like a Western Film Noir. Good story.
Tony Young co-stared in the movie, Chrome and Hot Leather, in 1971. Marvin Gaye was also in that film.
Such a fantastic actors,vow

Madlyn Rhue and Tony Young were married for eight years in the 1960s. Doesn't this film feel like a TV western?
It is a tv western.
Nice and enjoyable.
Don't really know these actors, but I like most of the Western movies since the 60's..cost a few cents to go to the cinemas
Can you find the episodes of Tony Young. In western series Gunslinger
Also Preston Foster as the army captain...
A. Very. Great. Good. Howdy. Movie. Nice. Watch. Western. Whit. Nice. Story. 🎉🎉🎉💢💥💫👋🤠👍

I now remembered at least one actor..R.G.Armstrong/ Joshua Josh who acted in From hell to texas in 1958..
R.G. was in so many movies and TV shows. And 'The Car' many years later with James Brolin. I had fun watching that movie. What a car? LOL
Good movie thank you

That's why Gill fired Thorne . . . because he knew about him and his stepmother.
I asked myself why didn't see actor like dan durea Now?
Because they are dead !
Lol. At 1:05:50 - "Good morning, gents. Do you speak English?"
"I speak it good."
Seems Dan never has to force himself to be the real evil man !
Good flick well acted and written. Cowardly town people. Tku for post.
Are there no episodes of GUNSLINGER starring Tony Young available for UA-cam?
Finally at 1:24 or 1:25 the main man showed up to take out the and get rid of the garbage once and for all the garbage

Not even 10 minutes in and this ex-con Bart Thorne is really bugging the crap out of me. I don't know which one is worse him or the punk kid.
They don't get any more cheesy than this. Tony Young was never in any danger of winning an Oscar throughout his career.
