Serving-4
Ingredients:
Chicken(washed)-500 gm
Basmati rice-300 gm
Ginger(grated/paste)-3 inch
Garlic(grated/paste)-12 cloves
Curd/yogurt-350 gm
Ghee/clarified butter-6 tbsp
Cooking oil-4 tbsp
Fried onions-4(large onion)

Coriander leaves(chopped and washed)-1/2 cup
Mint leaves(chopped and washed)-1/2 cup
Cinnamon Stick-2 inch
Dry red chilli-2
Bay leaves-2 to 3
Food colour(red or orange)-1/2 tsp(optional)
Saffron(soaked in milk)
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Cumin powder-1/3 tsp
Coriander powder-1/3 tsp
Chicken masala powder-1/3 tsp
Shahi Biryani masala-3 tsp
Salt to taste

I trying cooking wt 1 kg Basmathi rice and one whole chicken in a large pressure cooker. After 30 minutes I off the flame and relaase the pressure. Turn out awesome..

I made this exactly you described without two things that's I didn't have saffron and when water was boiling, I mix cinnamon stick, cloves and green Cardamom in the water. Believe me this is very important. It will give taste to rice.

This is an amazing recipe. The result was absolutely delicious. The only issue I had was that the chicken released a lot of water while cooking so to reduce the stock, chicken got almost cooked and was slightly overcooked in the biryani. How can that be avoided. Inspite of that it was unbelievably delicious! Thanks for sharing ☺️
