My roofer must have messed up re-roofing two months ago. I contacted them that I have apparent leaking/water damage going down my electrical wiring inside my wall, they still haven't shown up three days later and it's downpouring this morning. I'm beyond p**sed. My home and our safety is at stake
It's called shower testing, each roof does not require a shower test. Better you inspect physically esp concrete roofs and mark cracks/leaks. And fix them. This way you can save fresh water.
Where r u guys located we’re having a horrible problem 😔 me and my single mom been living in the house I was raised in I feel so horrible not having to the money to fix this I’m just trying to reach out for help. We don’t have much money but we do anything to make a roof not leak again we been dealing with this problem for almost haft a year .. love the content
We are sorry to hear this! Where are you located at? We arrive Chicago and Northwest Indiana. We do financing and insurance claims which may help offset or minimize out of pocket?
Roofing man did this for our garage roof leak where it meets the house wall and we see the water running down the Tyvek (same spot every time) but after 3 fixes (taping under siding, sealing architectural arch above window and replacing rotting wood in arch) it still leaks. Nobody can figure it out yet even though we see the spot it comes in. It's beyond frustrating!!!
Have they checked the “step flashing” or baby tins? This is the metal that goes under the siding and many times is reused among roofers and if there’s a gap or missed a tin you create a pocket.. You’ll have to pop the siding above the roof linez
@@TotalRoofing1985 They said they checked the flashing, they're actually the same company that installed the roof in 2020. They pulled the siding off and thought it needed more taping/sealing around the window that's near there but that didn't stop the leak either. Although their water hose test passed but when it rains it leaks. It leaks in the same spot where the roof meets the wall of the house, which is right below the edge of a window as well but they checked the window and it's good. I watched a video that mentioned sealing the J-channel (?) between the siding and window and I'm going to ask the guy if he has considered that when I talk to them tomorrow. Thanks.
@@TotalRoofing1985 Ok, I will write that down to have them check too. I wish I could get up there because I want this fixed already, been leaking since early May. They wouldn't get back to me today, I just hope they do tomorrow.

The architectural arch above the window was very wet behind it when they went to remove it and it was what looked like cork board - they simply replaced it with siding and they added flashing to the top and side of the window since there was none. We'll see in the next rain and hopefully the leak is fixed.
My cousin sprays different colors of water per section of roof . Food coloring . Narrows down the leak .

@@bev7236could be sealed “weep hole”. Windows good but possibly the weep hole is plugged causing water to reverse and leak.
