@@RecycleRepubHub Thanks for the response. I was considering this car since its cheap, but I'm not sure about regular maintenance and still having issues is for me. Oil leaks can be fixed. Not that good. But.. If you get it for like.. Under $2000, kinda pretty very nice. You'll buy it because it's a Cadillac, and has a pretty decent interior. Nothing else.
Interior looks good but if you have to get behind the dash, in 2021, make sure you’re really careful cause the plastic clips behind the trim will break pretty easily.
I love classic Cadillacs, but I feel like the 2000-05 Devilles really missed the mark looks-wise as they are really washed-out versions of their predecessors. The headlights are too fat, the wheel wells are round instead of rectangular with no skirting, the rear of the greenhouse is too sloped giving a less formal look, the C-pillar is thinner and stretched and doesn’t look great if a vinyl or cloth top is added, it lacks badging, cladding, chrome, and adornments, the profile is kind of stubby, and, worst of all, it lacks the trademark vestigial tail fins and proper vertical tail lamps that are a Cadillac staple. I really disliked these when they came out, but new cars are so bad these days I’ll admit I have warmed up to these a bit over the years.

@@Xilent1 well, intake doesn't like existing, oil leaks to high heaven, the doors have rust in strange places but somehow there's no interior leak, apparently a gas leak, ECU is sending literally 15 codes and transmission has been shifting like a rollercoaster for about 4 years (this is also all after regular maintenance)
@@RecycleRepubHub Thanks for the response. I was considering this car since its cheap, but I'm not sure about regular maintenance and still having issues is for me. Oil leaks can be fixed. Just gaskets are old. The rust I can't explain unless you live in the rust belt or the car came from rust belt. I would work on the major codes and leave the rest. Find out which are more needed. I'm trying to consider a 96 Deville or a 04 DHS both would be paid for in cash. If I'm still going to have issues after regular maintenance, I can't do this car.
What kind of rims are on the caddy your driving and in thumbnail
The 93-99 are the ones with the issues I have a 2000 with 185k just replaced basic parts and there is obviously something wrong with yours or u weren’t getting on the gas at all I’m not saying the cars fast but it’s definitely a sleeper
First! I always liked these DeVilles despite the northstar
I've heard they are good engines after they make the bolts thicker for the cylinders to prevent the head gasket problems.
@@antoniojmonetti I totally get it but I bought a 4.9 Cadillac just to avoid the north star

Good idea.
Cadillac dts Lincoln Town car this models of 2011 include ford taurus mercury etc etc those bug sedan best cars ever made this need to be made again
Haha. Great analogy!
ive had this car for a year, i hate it. the constant oil leaking, constant "check coolant" (even when its full) notification, it stalls on me once every 1-2 months. lol
Will it squeal the tires from a standstill?
yes
The Northstar V8 is great and it was designed for highway polls not being driven by your grandma
I got a 2001 sts!!!!
They fixed the problem with the northstar after 1999..2000+=OK
The people who designed the Northstar should be charged for the murder of the Cadillac great name.
Fat boy better throw some respect on caddy’s name
They haven't earned any
you’re not welcome here bro.
@@FrequencyORD 😂😂😂
It's not a sports car it's a boat
north star LOL
Problems are blow way out of proportion. My neighbor's 2002 Deville runs fine and looks damn sexy doing it, in a peanut butter brown color.
If they didn't have such trash engines I'd get one. They're everywhere for cheap because their engine
The Northstar engine is the worst engine ever made
This is front wheel drive 🤢
Northstar engineering should been banned for life...such of POS designs.....!
who can fixa 2002 Cadillac
In Wichita ks
After 2005, they were fixed.
Listen I care about the fuel economy! My ML350 is like driving an overpowered Diesel truck that eats gas🥲🥲
