Hello and welcome to another episode of the In-Depth Review Series, where we take an older, once mainstream car and review it as if it where a brand-new car! This is how Neighborhood Car Reviews “digitally preserves” these cars to enjoy for years to come. Today’s review subject is possible because of the amazing folks over at Community Ford of Mooresville! The Cadillac DeVille has been known since 1949 as the coupe de gras of the Cadillac brand. In the beginning, the DeVille was designated as a trim level of the Cadillac 62, but later became its own standalone model in the Cadillac Range. The last model marketed specifically as a DeVille was the 2005 full-size sedan, at the time, Cadillac's largest model.
For the 2006 model year, the DeVille nameplate was retired, when the model line was carried forward as the Cadillac DTS, using a nomenclature adopted by the Cadillac STS and CTS.
The 2000 model year was the first substantial redesign since 1994, marking the DeVille's move to the revised G-Platform.
Production started in August 1999. The exterior was redesigned, achieving a more aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.30, and the revised interior featured new door panels and seats, with standard seat-mounted front side-airbags, along with minor dash and radio face revisions. The DeVille DHS name replaced the d'Elegance trim level and added an optional power rear window sunshade and heated/massaging rear seats. The performance DeVille Concours was renamed the Deville DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan), in anticipation of the forthcoming renaming of the entire line. The last model to carry the DeVille nameplate was assembled at the Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly Plant in June 2005, replaced for 2006 by the renamed and slightly revised DTS, effectively a de facto ninth generation Deville.

Neighborhood Car Reviews gives you an alternative look at the already impressive list of car videos that are online. What we do is a first-person walk-around of the car. We show features and details that are on the particular model being shown. Performance data, safety equipment and the like are usually not shown due to the already enormous amount of videos that cover the aforementioned topics.
We like to cover everything from classics to high-end and everything in between.
Hard to believe this car is 20 years of age specifically the interior that is beautiful gotta love the V8 power in a front wheel drive platform since these were not rear wheel drive like the Fleetwoods would be
