I have a similar car. It would hade been beneficial rather than tapping materials everywhere, it would have been helpful to go over all of the controls on door and the most effective use of them. There’s a vibrating seat, driver and passenger. Blah Blah. Tons of features. Cover them also.

I just bought a 2012 750i XDrive. Very nice car, im driving in tiptronc at all times and prefer it, i dont like how if u shut traction control off or go into sport mode and then shut the car off it goes back to traction control on and back into comfort mode. Not a deal breaker but wish everything would stay how i had it when i shut the car off. If anybody knows how to fix this issue let me know, same with the fan on the heat, i shut it off and everytime i restart the car i have to shut it off again. I know people have complained in the past about the goofy electronic system, it is really stupid, i have to shut traction control off every single time i get in the car lol i just end up leaving it on and if wanna drive hard ill go into sport mode and shut traction control off, id rather just have it off at all times and stay in sport mode at all times, that way when i wanna get on it i dont have to push buttons first. Oh well, maybe this is why i got this car for $20,000 with 70k miles on it so im not gonna let it bother me. i just end up driving in comfort mode with the traction control on because thats what the car reverts back to everytime u shut it off, since im driving in tiptronic its not abig deal and the traction control hasnt given me n e trouble at all but i dont drive all out all that much. Since i got a good deal on the car i can laugh at how stupid this is and just adapt to it but if i paid 90k for it i might be really pissed.

Another stupid thing i noticed right away is when im in tip tronic mode and im slowing from 6 gear, i shift into 5th and coast and then 4th and coast and then 3rd and coast and the car will automaticly shift into 2nd so now when i go to downshift into 2nd it will go into first. If u slam on the brakes and dont manually downshift it automaticlly goes into 2nd and always goes into 2nd when u stop but if u drive it like a manual like i described it will go into 2nd on its own unless u prematurly shift into 2nd and really can mess u up when going around a tight turn. Ive adapted to it by just shifting into 2nd a little prematurly and i always go into 1st when stoping at a stop light or stop sign. Im not driving like a race car either, this is just normal driving and the car is way more fun when u can control what gear and rpm your in but having something automaticaly shift when your in MANUAL mode is retarded, just like losing your setings of being in sport mode everytime you shut the car off to run in a store. If n e one knows how to fix these isses let me know, i noticed all this in the first week driving the car, i used to drive an Audi A8 12 hour shifts for a livery company and drove over 300k miles in them so i def know how to drive, i just drove them in comfort mode automatic trans since i was doing so much driving. Ive adapted to the 750is quirks and maybe there is a way to fix these problems, since the car starts in comfort mode everytime u start the car if u wanna get on it u have to look down, press sport mode then press and hold traction control for like 5 seconds wtf, if someone pulls up next to u in the middle of the desert they will be long gone by the time u do all this and u might say if thats how your driving why dont u just stay in sport mode, exactly my point, the car goes back to comfort mode every time you shut the car off and the traction control comes back on everytime u shut it off too. Not a bad feature if thats what u want but id rather have the option to leave it how i had it and roll around at a normal pace and when i wanna take off i just take off without all the bullshit. Set the setings before u drive not while your driving and having to keep reseting it all day long everytime u shut the car off is beyond retarded, i start the car up and it defaults to comfort mode with traction control on, i shift into tiptronic and drive, thats the only way to drive it without having to push a bunch of buttons everytime u drive. Like i said, its still fast this way and the traction control doesnt give me any trouble so i just drive it like that. Seems like a waste if u ask me, people say just push sport mode whats the big deal and the hold traction control button for 5 seconds. every single time u get in the car? Ughhh

you can also set up default sport mode in your profiles settings in the i drive menu and have it coded in memery to the key fob.

@@paulhutton2720 ok, im going to try and figure it out, everyone all over the internet says it always goes back into comfort mode no matter what, i only had the car for a week when i commented. What year is your 750i, mines a 2012. Hopefully i can figure it out, ive gotten used to it, i just drive in tiptronic at all times, its kind of a pain how u have to keep shifting over to the right and then back over into automatic to reverse, seem like they could of designed all this better.

Just do the Mercedes-Benz S550 since you think that car is so much better than the BMW 750I or 750LI. It’s becoming annoying.
